The neat thing about the Normal Spell that pushes monsters into the backrow is that it doesn't trigger floating effects, that can get enabled sometimes even if a monster is banished(i.e. Aluber when Fusion a monster leaves the field, or Regained when any Light/Dark is banished). And it's also hard to get them out of there if you DO need their floating effects if you're not on either (self)backrow removal, Centurion, Vaylantz, Crystal Beasts or an extended Snake-Eye package. And against decks that make heavy use of the Spell and Trap Zone(i.e. Rescue-ACE) you can sometimes limit how many things they can set at a time, at least temporarily, and it's especially annoying for Pendulum decks if their scales get blocked.
Tricky format for a BO1. Depending on which twig of the meta game you happen to encounter, Droll will either be a completely dead card in your hand or absolutely game-deciding, with no in-between.

@@crewie94 it’s brand new, and some variables make MD unique, yes, but it’s not as though these are brand new cards released sight-on-scene. We’ve had a year of the OCG and TCG to give us a pretty good idea of what the top decks are going to be going forward, and what their lines will be.

maybe it is just me.. but I think MD has the algorithm to make an old deck shuffle for the worst draw and the new pack/deck gets a better draw if they are still in the shop~ kinda happens to me a lot since I'm not that rich to build new decks right away. 😐
It's probability manipulation. The same way they can guarantee an UR pull that's supposed to have an odds of 2.5% up to 100% if you don't pull one would be the same way they guarantee new cards to be drawn.

I'm sorry but this format is super toxic and super boring. Literature just SHS with Calamity lock and you have to deal with Snake eyes just link spamming for 30 minutes while you can nothing. They just create these same BORING generic boards with generic boss monsters.
Master Duel’s RNG will ensure you brick often against META decks; especially if you play on mobile. Mobile is likely more egregious, because in an EOMM format gamers are likely to play more often than if they were to experience the same experiences on a console or PC. I played 25 consecutive matches of bricked hands on an iOS app; my deck only utilizes 4 garnets in total. These algorithms engineered to generate “outcomes” “proportionally” are out of control.
