I am proud to say that two strokes are the coolest things ever. They are the only things that can really get u going. I own a ktm 2013 85 sx and it is frikin awesome.

I ride a 1996 honda cr 250r and i love it the motor is basically bullet prof i've had it for close to 3 years not 1 rebuild and it doesn't lag any power. ive ridden 4 stroke and 2 stroke, i love 2 strokes it suits my style but i wont judge for riding 4 stroke just don't talk crap about my bike.

Ride one and find out. I raced a season on my 250f and almost quit racing all together. Nothing puts a smile on my face like the ping of a 2 stroke motor or the sound of a 2 stroke as you haul fresh out of a turn on the pipe.

Hey Shinfo002…I think you're right! I'm riding 4-strokes now since I’m a trail rider...but I did grow up riding 2-strokes and rode them until the last few years (I’m 45 years old now). I still love the sound of a screaming YZ250…braappp!

Freddy Camacho There are a lot less parts in a 2 stroke, so there's less to buy, less time needed to do the work, and the work is less technically challenging.

I much prefer a 2T as its all I have riden for most of my life now I have a XR 250 it may not be even close to the power delivery of the 2T but in the end its all about getting out there and riding...but in all honesty LONG LIVE THE 2 stroke...that's imo...oh any bike being 2T or 4T can last a long time if you look after it and maintain it

everyone thinks two strokes are unreliable. if you are like a pro and you are riding a 125 and you have it pinned all the time eventually it is going to wear out. and when they do wear out I would rather pay the 100 bucks to replace the top end rather than paying all the money to rebuild a 4 stroke engine

My first bike is a ttr125 4 stroke and i thought it would sound badass and then i was loving the sound until i realized i was tricked by the 4 stroke and the noise of the 2 stroke got my adrenaline pumping and now im going for a yz250

now i ride my yz250 signle tight trails rocks! my other bike is 2011 yz450f high speed trails sand woops! so far so good gna do couple upgrades for next year! its a beast

2 strokes are still cool but, you gotta hand it to the 4-strokes, they are almost as light, with WAY more bottom end, and more top end. One big advantage is that you dont think the four stroke is gonna blow up all the time.$-stroke is overall the way to go now "a" days!

2 stroke for ever i own a honda cr80r year 1989 its boss then i have a yamaha yz250 2 stroke and it has a bore kit on it so that makes it a 285cc and it has converted forks so yeah i love 2 strokes

And again, I can tell you have no racing experiance if you can stand there and say that a 2 stroke isn't harder to ride. Maybe not at first but towards the end if you're fatigued a 4 stroke is much easier to ride, you let the bike do most of the work and go but a 2 stroke you have to be on them all the time to be fast. I like 2 strokes more but that's one thing I noticed with my 4 strokes. Tracks are no longer longer and loamier, things that greatly help 2 strokes.

That's something you 4 stroke guys will never get, it's not the bike you ride, it's how you ride it.
I've owned 2 strokes all my life and have been fast on every single one of them, right now I have more important things to do then sticking metal mulisha stickers on my bike to impress you and no, that 01 isn't my race bike it's a trail/practice bike. I don't race anymore actually, tore my ACL this winter and got a full time career now.

most trail 4ts are really reliable and go forever yess, but 250 and 450 race bikes are not so they require regular maintenance like 2ts, which costs more

A bottle of premix is $10 and the fuel mileage is negligible. A 250 2 stroke eats 250f's all day, they may lack traction and may be harder to ride but the matter of the fact is for sheer power a 250 2t will eat one and you can't deny that. They're lighter and faster, the only reason some 250f's can even be on the same track at the same time is due to traction advantages and modern tracks being set up to be favorable to 4 strokes and their power delivery.
