Hill is a smart football player I think he’ll be fine especially with our safety help over the top it will pan out he’ll be fine
I agree with you. I never got why they didn't play him at Corner. Why are you playing a speedster at safety? My opinion, speed is not a requirement as a safety. Think Dax is a better fit playing Corner where his speed matches up with your best WRs ... who in turn, also by the edge. Dax can stick with the Wide Outs.
Dax Hill dhould be fine playing corner in the NFL. He play corner in college. He has a years experience in the NFL. Even though it was at the safety, he got a chance to see the speed of the game. So the adjustment to corner should be small. He will have to be quick in putting his cleats into the ground when receivers make their cuts and moves. And possibly learn how to anticipate receiver moves, but I think that he ought to be just fine out there on the island.

Two very different skilled based positions, and frankly, two very different athletic requirements to boot! One of Dax's athletic gifts is his speed. Why play a speedster in a position that requires "moderate" speed ability? Dax fits better in the role of a Corner!
Dax will be fine. He is athletic and smart.
Dax has the speed to match-up with the best WRs. Usually a team's best Wide Outs play on the edge where the Cornerbacks play. A solid Corner, who can stick with WRs, will allow the safeties and linebackers to focus on holding the middle. The best Corners have speed, good body span and are fairly tall so they match-up with the best recievers. Dax's got all that in spades!
I'm excited for Dax to play Corner because it's literally a better fit for him! Safeties, in my mind, emphasize flexibility, moderate speed, ability to change direction, know routes and slow the RBs ... too amorphous and not a good alignment with Dax's athletic abilities. You've got one of your legit speedsters playing where his real athletic gifts are underutilized. Corner position and Dax fit together much better than that of the position of safety. Dax, IMM, is a mirror reflection of the best WRs. Much better use of Dax as a Corner.
