Perfect comment, but I’m still waiting for Julia to do her brilliant analysis and playing for Norman Watt Roy’s Rhythm Stick track, as it was truly revolutionary in post punk UK ❤
this is such a weird coincidence i literally just walked past Lenny Kravitz in Copenhagen, Denmark an hour ago. Around the time this video was uploaded.
Ya know??! You are magic made of hard work and all the rest. Your lessons are great, and transportive. While I followed, I went back in time to 1978 Long Beach California, building Jumbo Jets and nights out with my wife, listening to Steely Dan, small sidewalk bistros, motorcycle rides at midnight in the Hollywood Hills, and playing a festival with our band, The Uncalled For! See....? Beautiful! Thanks Julia. Gosh! Ok... Lenny and the song were perfect too. And I'm ordering it today.
Julia truly is an extraordinary talent on bass guitar. I would love to see her do some bass lines from the legendary bass guitar player, Leo Lyons, (Ten Years After). Leo was and still is a masterclass bass player! TYA played many gigs in Germany.
Just an average, everyday, ordinary moment of freaking slap awesomeness from Julia!!!Ho hum 😊 ......Dbl hand waves x 2 .Thank you for keep making these little smile makers.
I think I spotted ya at the Austrian Formula 1 playing the national anthem with Hanz Zimmer! Was that you? If so, I bet it was an amazing experience to jam with the maestro! Congrats, I love your playing style. ❤
Greetings and salutations! This is just so lovely, I wish I could give it more than just one like! (I play 4 string fretless so slapping is not my forte, but just lovely) All the best, thanks, Billi.
Oh yay, Julia is back!! Thanks for the vid! It's a really interesting song. I love all of the white space in the verse, leaving room for all those little bits of expression from guitars, horns, etc. I was really surprised when the bass came to the fore during the chorus. I don't think Kravitz gets enough credit for his creativity because his hits have been fairly "mainstream" and the rest of his catalog is "too strange" for normies. Thanks for sharing with us! ❤
Julia, you've done a lot of bass videos on many great players on many songs, and I've found them very helpful to expand my bass guitar vocabulary. I'm a guitar player, but I track my own bass lines when I'm recording. I've listened to a lot of James Jamerson and Chuck Rainey as well as others, and they were my earliest influences for bass. There was one more bass player who influenced me heavily and he was Gary Thain from Uriah Heep. I'm curious if you ever listened to his technique and what do you think of it?
I would love to see you play the bass line from ZOOLOOK on the album with the same name, by Jean Michel Jarre ( he's not the bass player on the track though).
Its an AWESOME day when Julia drops a video. Hope to get an autograph sometime.

You slapped the bass as the star you are - I slapped the Like-button, not at all the same groovy as you set Mr Kravitz' artwork there. WOW!
There are a ton of funky slap bass lines all through his new album and it's amazing. I'm really into this new release from a bass playing perspective.
Julia + Lenny Kravitz is an automatic like
That is really an awesome song. What a groove. I will be hitting my Fender J later with that one..
You've got great chops.
Wow, Beatiful groove!
Lenny knows how it works. Julia too. 😊
Fantastic playing Julia greta tone, great feel.
Caught a glimpse of you at the F1 race. Looked like a ton of fun.
I didn’t even know Lenny Kravitz had released a new album. Based on this song, I’m going to check it out.
Do it! The entire album is absolutely AMAZING !
You are just the best Julia👌
Lovely to see you again Julia....really nice cover from Lenny 👍
Thanks Julia, funky playing, actually hadn't heard this song before !
Your right hand is so relaxed and natural. I wish I could do that. No matter what song you play, you always have great technique.
Thanks, Julia. Love this!🥰🥰🥰
Julia, your talent and joy are an inspiration for me, thank you very much 🥳👍👏🙋🏻♂️.

You should support him on tour. Seriously.

Kind of surprised you didn't cover how to get that tone!
You're so cool.

Ich hab dich am Red Bull Ring gesehen mit dem Grubinger und dem Hans Zimmer beim Spielen der Bundeshymne.👍👋

Julia, I am in crisis and I trust you. Taurus 24 or American pro Precisions II??? Can you please compare them?
I really love this roquefort blue guitar. Maybe because I have nearly the same 🤗
But I do NOT play the same level. Alas...
Ja ja ja ja ja ja ja ja ja 😂👏👏👏👍
Didn't I just see you performing at the Austrian grand prix along side hanz zimmerman?
Yes 😅
Awesome. I bet that was a blast.
Julia jamming with Hans Zimmer on the F1 grid!
Seems like Mr. Kravitz was inspired by Prince for this track.
If only Lenny would be quiet so I can hear that bass 😆
🩵👊😎
Despite the "fruit basket" incident... this is a great song 😉👌
Cool! She's not fat anymore 🤗
Lange nix gesehen von dir
Marry me?
Didn't know that Lenny Kravitz is/was a bass player .
Clickbait shit! Please stop this behaviour.
This bass brand always sounds very cheap in YT, but it still expensive, I am lucky to know that and avoid it!
LOL
Nice playing but you make the song sit too much & don’t roll enough the timing is not perfect
Lenin Kravitz is no longer relevant...tired beats and outdated sounds...
Agree.
However, Julia is always relevant.
Thanks Julia and hello from Cairo ! Tshuss. François
