I was a restaurant manager 15 yrs ago. $8 minimum wage. The employees worked their tails off, the menu was affordable, and customers were mostly happy. Now the same restaurant employs half the number of employees it used to, and those who do work there act so entitled. The food quality is horrible, the prices are horrible, and nobody wants to run the place.
Now I’m a loader operator who hasn’t got a raise in years. All that extra money keeps going to the minimum wage laborers. I’m quitting next month and no one wants the job. Doesn’t pay enough for the work required.

It's like costs have been rising and wages haven't kept pace. If working there doesn't pay enough to live indoors and eat food...you get what you pay for.
Working in a restaurant...you should know that if the price of an item goes up but you only want to pay the same price forever...something needs to give.

I noticed that increase too 26 an hour to work at a nice hotel sometimes reduced hours is giving you some of your freedom back. If you want a full 40 hours a week at 26 apply at fantsy hotels and restaurants you can keep your other job as a side gig that's like 19 on the weekends and it would be like 45 an hour with reduced hours if you make sure the hotel job is full time.

Fast food paysmore than a mid level govt position!!!!
Fast food prices keep going up. It is a very poor business model. I dont eat ff any longer because its too much cost for what you get!!!

Expect prices of things to go up but service to go down. All they have to do is show up and get paid.

If companies pay enough for people to eat and live indoors, the quality of service is more likely to improve....

Prices went up even when wages didn't go up.

If your business model relies on paying workers a below livable wage, you do not have a viable business model you and need to go get a job.

"Wages increases across Colorado" would be a better headline. Minimum wage goes up, prices of good increases, middle class shrinks.
