    I like this video format where it's a bit shorter but very educational, easy for me to take in all the information and keep my attention

    I have a Cordyceps LC that's I'm trying to fruit by school time, Hopefully I can learn more of what substrate to use and I'll be able to give it to my elders on my reservation

    I lover your videos. Could you please make a video on Huitlacoche. It's a fungus grown on corn. It is a Mexican delicacy.

    "Functional" mushrooms? I'm in the states and never heard the term "functional" applied to mushrooms; just edible, medicinal, or psychoactive. Is Functional synonymous with Medicinal or is there another use of mushrooms I'm ignorant about? THANK YOU so much for all of the spectacular information you share with us!!

      Functional could, I suppose, be for any mushroom - growing for food is a function - but these mushrooms have an intended function beyond food.

      Functional just means it can be used for a purpose, whether That's edible, medicinal, or just tripping your f'ing bawls off

    Well, now that I know tremella is edible, I’ve gotta try some.

      Works really well in either stir fry or soup/stews. I live in Edmonton Alberta, so I tend to buy a lot of dried mushrooms and rehydrate them before cooking. (Nutrient value of dried mushrooms is 15-20% less but still impacts our health!) I use it a lot for helping with split fingertips from diabetes and our lovely extreme winters here. It does make a difference but its only part of the solution. Good luck!

    Can you please do a video about the topic: which mushroom can be combined with each other and which not?

    wouldnt wild mushrooms have more nutrition vs. ones that are on a sterile substrate?

    • @drokles
      @drokles 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, not really. Mushrooms can manufacture nutritional substances from dead matter in the lab just as easily as in nature, maybe even more so, since they don't have to spend energy to fight off infection. But wild mushrooms have a better immune system to protect themselves against bacteria and other fungi, and they may produce metabolites as a result that in principle could be nutritious.

    Update to both of u hosting this channel: my heartfelt project with the Chinese 5 Elements has revealed another 'medicinal' mushroom that u might want to research and add to your inventory. It is Polyporus umbellatus (umbrella polypore). This mushroom carries a Water vibration, and helps to heal urinary tract imbalances. My contact info is listed on my channel, if needed.

    I see lot's of Cordyceps sinensis on the market which is grown in liquid substrate and is definitely not wild-harvested.

    Couldn't they just have a farm with a ton of those bugs and then get that cordyceps mushroom to grow that way?

    WARNING: A few years ago my second batch of PF TEK M. Mushrooms was much larger than I could use for private use...and I had read that the potency withers after awhile. STUPIDLY I froze a large batch of Golden Teachers to have when needed...>I ate about a kilo and nothing happened....
