I have 2014 Dart GT with the exact same issue. I can also confirm that disconnecting the battery (i did for a couple hours) fixes the problem. Definitely worth a shot before ripping the dash apart.
Girlfriends Dart just got the Black Screen of Madness issue, thanks a million for putting this process to video, its gonna help a lot of people save dealership dollars. (Dodge really needs to recall this, the forums about it are plentiful to say the least)
I had a dart that did this but my issue end up being a fuse up under the dash..... wish I woulda made a video of it because youre right there arent a lot out there...... saved me a bunch of moneys
I have a similiar issue but I haven't open the dash, I think this might be my problem. Do you know exactly where that fuse is? I have checked all the fuses from the box and all works :(
So my 2016 dart manual transmission had the screen go out changing from 1st to second about 50% of the time screen finally went out all the way… also set on defrost… controls don’t work nothing works going to try the battery thing first… I hope that works bc this is a lot of work but I know taking it in for repair won’t be cheap… fun stuff… Thanks for making great vehicles dodge… what I learned from this video was to buy Toyotas from now on lol… naw jk I do love my dart but this problem suckssss especially in the winter those controls need to work…
I have a almost similar problem where my screen turns white then blacks out and reboots a second later do you think the ribbon cable is the issue for my situation?
I had the exact same problem on my 16 dodge dart gt all you do is unhook the negative lead off the battery for 20 min and resets the computer and fixed it

did the screen also go white every now and then on your radio? mine is stuck in the black screen right now, but leading up to it going black, it would turn white every now and then and reboot. I'll be trying this this weekend.
@@joemiller7296 not sure if it did, this was my wife's car so she saw everything going on with it more than I did. Is your air still working like it's stuck in the last setting you had it on. If so it's probably the same thing. At this point you probably don't have much to lose.
Hi! I have a problem.. I have dart 2013 and my bluetooth stoped working like 3 years ago and i don't have warranty, and recently the camera went crazy upside down and flashing.. Do you know any fix to that problem?
I do not know if the music in the background is from the radio being stuck "on". but in future please don't add music, it makes it very difficult to hear your instructions. What we need to hear on any instructional video is a clear speaking voice without background distractions.

@@co9648 yeah just unplugging the battery did it, 3 months later my radiator blew and ceased the engine and now driving a truck

Mine does the same! the dealership told me it cost 1200 to fix it. I have googled for hours to see how to fix it. It's been like that for 3 years 🤦♀️
That happened to mine, take take battery out for a little than put it back in the battery might be loose like mine was

How did you know that ribbon was the problem.
I just searched the internet like a mad man and came across the video I gave credit to. Just thought I could do a better job of showing the steps.

I don't know the solution but my 2014s camera did the same thing. I have just learned to live with it
