- Have you seen these squirmy little rice paddy fish before? Erwan and the crew are resuming their road trip in Isabela for the continuation of our journey up north to find the best local finds and unique food to cook. After encountering a few challenges along the way, we picked up the pace and found ourselves trekking along the rice terraces of Ifugao where we finally set up camp and cooked a filling meal using our freshly harvested ingredients.
This is the last episode for Forager, we hope you enjoyed the first two parts of this new series! Where should we go next?
This video is sponsored by Ford Philippines. We had a blast testing the all-new Ford Ranger Wildtrak with the team which made our adventures more exciting and most of all more comfortable with its off-road and outdoor living capabilities.

Big props to you for documenting this and showing us Filipinos and the world that the Philippines has its own unique identity outside of our colonized history.
I so admire your energy Erwan, driver na, interviewer pa, ikaw pa rin nagluluto! 🥰
Japanese eel or Unagi in japanese is one of the foods everyone should try when in japan. It looks simply for us Filipinos but it’s one of the most expensive food in japan 😊
As a Filipino living overseas for many years and meeting different nationals of other countries, most think that Filipinos are living in poverty esp. in the rural areas. Am humbled yet feeling proud for the richness and beauty of our country and her diverse peoples, the culture and food . Thank you. I love your videos.
Indeed. Even people in urban sometimes afford luxurious life so i can say that Philippines is rich ONLY if we dee it that way 😍 Read also FACTFULNESS
these kind of series brings back memories back in the days where tv programs and travel shows is at its peak, if youre fortunate enough your parents would have "cable" installed. just like the first time i watched the late anthony bourdain, places and experiences I may not see but seen and loved because of those programs. 🖤

Those small eels are introduced in the Cordilllera by the Japanese before WW2. I tasted them when I was in grade school late 1980's in Besao, Mt Province.

In the first half, you were taught how to properly pry open the banana leaf wrapper of a suman. You appreciated that it kept your fingers clean. But in the second half of the video, you forgot and reverted to opening the sticky purple suman awkwardly, like a newbie.
I was about ten when my grandma taught me how to open up and eat a suman. I never ever forgot that lesson.
