    • @BrewNourish
      @BrewNourish  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Worms may appear if fermentation is not going well for some reason, like weak yeast , high temperature . If fermentation is active it won't happen . If worms appear nothing can be done , you have to start from the beginning .

    • @BrewNourish

      Thank you !. I believe that's kham yeast not mold which is not harm full, if you have apple cider vinegar at home just mix 50 ml and stir every day 2 times. With time the liquid will be acedic and kham yeast will disappear. But stirring every day is important now. How many days since you started ?

    Your videos are really useful.. i try to make home made pinneple vinegar with your video tutorial. My question is after 3 weeks do the vinegar still contain alcohol on it ? And how many weeks are vinegar without any alcohol inside? Thank you for your great videos

    • @BrewNourish
      @BrewNourish  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's hard to say exactly at what point all alcohol get converted to vinegar . Infact even after we get vinegar that means PH balance is very low there could be still very negligible amount of alcohol present . But that could be less than 1%. At 3 weeks there would be high to medium level of alcohol present . When you see the PH level of your vinegar getting low you must know there are less alcohol present . This could take 4 weeks to 3 months. Depends on few factors. Every ferment is different. Keep a PH meter handy to check. Generally when it's 3/3.5 you can consider vinegar is ready for consumption .

    Lol the taste test would be my favorite part 🤣 I had no idea the ph levels vary with different types of vinegar. I would probably prefer the higher ph for a stronger taste. Thanks for the tip of keeping the ph the same by refrigerating. I was wondering how you stop that process. Does pineapple cider vinegar have the same weight loss assistance benefits as regular apple cider vinegar?

    • @BrewNourish
      @BrewNourish  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ha ha Mine too ;) . If you want stronger taste go for lower PH one . ACV doesn't help directly to lose weight it only makes you less hungry but having said that it has other health benefits. All vinegar with mother will offer same kind of benefit mainly good bacteria which forms during vinegar making process so which fruit vinegar it is doesn't make much difference . Thanks for watching .

    what is the difference between fruit enzyme and fruit vinegar? Also, how to store the mother for next use?

    • @BrewNourish
      @BrewNourish  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Fruit enzymes are not as lengthy process as Fruit Vinegar , infact in vinegar making we have 2 stages . You can call the first stage as fruit enzymes where we are trying to make cider . So fruit enzyme will have good amount of alcohol but vinegar may not have any alcohol left (final stage) .

    • @BrewNourish
      @BrewNourish  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kham yeast can develop for many reason. Mainly due to presence of oxygen, hot weather, unhygienic environment . You can take it off but it will come back again so now you should stir it every day few times so that it won't get much time to get hold of it . Kham is not harmful it just changes the taste little bit.

    If we don't see the mother in the upper level of the bottle after 3/4 months and its ph level is 3 or 4 .
    Then is it confirm that it is transformed at vineger ? Or it is transformed at any other thing ?

    • @BrewNourish
      @BrewNourish  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In some rare cases acetobacter (bacteria) doesn't make scoby / mother. But if Ph level near to 3 you can consider it vinegar.

    • @BrewNourish
      @BrewNourish  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why you want to make it less acidic ? If it's less acidic it won't stay longer and will attract mold or fungus . When you want to consume or use in any dish that time you take less amount and dilute but don't make the original vinegar less acidic .

      Hi Margaret ! So the oldest one is just one week old among 3 batches ?. You can mix them in one jar if your oldest batch is fermenting actively, it will most likely pull off newest batches . If the old one was too old I wouldn’t recommend since the PH level could go very low in oldest batch while new one still neutral. If you are staying in tropical weather continue to stir them 1 to 2 times if not using airlock .

    আমি আনারসের ভিনেগার বানানো শুরু করেছি। ফারমেন্টেশনের আজ ৭তম দিন। জারের উপরে সাদা একধরণের স্তর পরেছে যেটা ফেনা ধরনের। এটা কি ক্ষতিকারন কিছু?

    আমি আপেল সিডার ভিনেগার বানাচ্ছি। গত ০২ এপ্রিল ২০২০ থেকে শুরু করেছি, এখন অবধি কোন মাদার হয়নি, কিন্তু তরলটা প্রায় স্বচ্ছ হয়ে গিয়েছে আর আপেলগুলো নিচে পড়ে গিয়েছে। আমি বুঝতে পারছি না যে আমার ভিনেগারটা হচ্ছে কিংবা হচ্ছে না!

      সবে এখন ১ মাস ১০ দিন মতো হয়েছে ভিনেগার হতে টাইম লাগে ।
      দেখুন এর মধ্যে মাদার চলে আসে কিনা । বাড়িতে ব্রাগ এর ভিনেগার থাকলে ২ চামচ মিশিয়ে দিন । মাদার এসে যাওয়ার হাই চান্স থাকবে ।

      Ha ha off course , who can drink raw vinegar without grimaces but that doesn't mean something is wrong with the vinegar :), It's natural . But home made vinegar is better than store bought that's also true .
