  • In this video I show how to do an engine oil change on a Gen5 Maserati Quattroporte Sport GTS with the 4.7L V8. I go through the tools required, and dive into the detail of the steps to perform the engine oil change and checks. I also highlight some features on the car (good to know data for variator recalls). All in all I tried to be informative yet entertaining, I hope that comes across.

Hey Driven, just wanted to know if youre still responding to comments? Im looking at getting a Quattroporte S Q4 in a few weeks and have been scouring for content to DIY. How have you enjoyed the ownership of your car and do you find that maintenance isnt all that terrible? My only concern is potentially needing to replace shocks, struts, control arms etc. and perhaps the cost of tires w/ a rotation and balance. If you have any info thatd be super helpful!

Hey, responding from my other channel. Sorry for being dormant, life got busy in a hurry these past 2 years. I hope you went through with the purchase and all is going well. I can tell you the car has been a trooper thus far. I’ve been doing maintenance myself and it’s standard stuff really. Maserati Life is a treasure trove. Generally “googleable” solutions. Let me know how it’s all going please.

@@dwakim1have you taken your qp gts on any long trips before? I’m planning on driving my 2011 gts 2500 mi road trip

@Kyrohnics thanks for the comment! Longest road trip I’ve done with it was about 1,800-2,000 miles. It was great! The car was brilliant on highway, in the city (Chicago) and then small country roads (northern Wisconsin). The 2,500 miles should be a blast and in my opinion nothing to worry about. Check fluids / tires before heading out (as you would with any car) and have a blast :)

@@driven15 have you had any experience with restoring the interior? The seats, buttons etc. on avg how much do you think it’d cost. The Maserati dealership here in norcal isn’t much help. The car needless to say was garaged outside but barely driven around 30k mi but it drives like if it was a 100k car it’s weird
