Candied Sweet Potatoes

6 sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1 inch cubes
¾ stick butter
¾ cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon, optional
In a skillet; melt butter and place sweet potatoes into the skillet. Cook for about 5 minutes and then turn the potatoes. Sprinkle the brown sugar, salt and cinnamon over the sweet potatoes and stir. Cover and cook until sweet potatoes are fork tender. Serve and enjoy.
I have made candied sweet potatoes many ways through the years, but this is my favorite recipe. A relative by the name of Adelaide shared this recipe with me many years ago. The only difference is that she would use a cast iron skillet. I hope you would consider making this recipe for your family.
