I currently live and work in Bahrain and there is no Finnish embassy here in Bahrain, but there is vfs office here in Bahrain that processes visit visa alone to shengen countries including Finland,as I was told by them when i went for enquiries, they told me to visit nearest Finnish embassy for longer stay at Finland, so I have decided to go to Saudi Arabia for my study permit when the time comes,
Here my question is, 1) is it at the embassy at Saudi Arabia that I need to book for the appointment and interview or they will be the one to link me to a vfs office, 2) how many months visa or permit of Saudi visa do I need to have in my passport to cover for till my Finnish permit is out at Saudi embassy?

If you followed the correct link, it will not pop-up any questions on visa. Kindly check properly. You do not leave your passport at the embassy in Nigeria.

You can apply for residence permit and then book the vfs appointment. Or book appointments, but make sure you apply for the residence permit before the appointment day. This was clearly explained in this video. The validity of the passport is in the website on the description of this video. It's not in the application form online that I did not log into. The more valid your passport, the longer the permit will be granted.

D visa is optional. You can travel with permit.

You can get pregnant and still continue your schooling. You get paid enough by the state for your basic bills. Your child is paid monthly until he/she turns 18 years old. Your rent can be paid by the state if you can't afford it. It's challenging to raise kid(s) alone in a foreign land with few to no relatives around, but Finland are the best in providing as much support as they possibly can. BUT, as an international student who is required to study and pay tuition yearly, if you do not get the required credit and pay your tuitions yearly, you will most likely face deportation. So if you do all that you came for and still have kids, you don't owe Finland anything.

Check to make sure you are on the right link and form. If you're applying for a residence permit, visa questions should not come up at all. Kindly watch the video again and pay attention this time.

It allows you to travel to Finland once your resident permit is approved and before your resident permit is out. 3. If you decide not to do the D visa that means you will wait until your RP is out before you can travel. About dropping your passport, there is something written on the site about that. For those who may have challenges. This is my understanding.

No one can apply for permanent residency in a country they have not lived in for some years. Residence Permit however, is what you apply to once you get admitted to able to come to Finland in the first place.
