I started my Invisalign treatment 3 days ago and my orthodontist has instructed me to wear my rubber bands only at night. Is that normal? I’m assuming I may not need as much correction ? I do have a slight underbite on one side
Everyone’s prescription for rubber bands will be different based on the severity of the bite and treatment goals. While Rubber bands work best worn full time, wearing them only at nighttime is a prescription offered to some patients if their bite meets certain criteria.
Confused patient here! I have an 8mm overjet and my overbite is so bad to the point that my lower teeth touch the roof of my mouth in my resting position. But my dentist insists that my bite can be fixed without any sort of elastics or appliances whatever. He didn't take impressions of my lower teeth and said that I don't need braces on my lower teeth since the problem is only with the upper ones. I've been in braces for more than a year and a half now and my bite is just as bad. Everytime I try to voice my complain he dismisses me saying that the treatment is going just fine and that I'm being impatient. Is it possible for a bite as bad as mine to be fixed only with braces on upper teeth?
Hey! So sorry to hear about your circumstance and frustration. If it is exactly how you wrote, then, no, it is not possible to correct your overbite and overjet with the treatment plan that you were given. But I want to mention that, without seeing your teeth and bite alignment in person, it is impossible for me to accurately give an opinion.
I have an overbite, however my orthodontist just switched my elastics from class 2 to class 3 so now I’m wearing them the way underbites would. Is that normal ?
Sounds like you wore your Class II elastics really well and overcorrected your bite, and now the Class III’s are being used to shift your bite back to a perfect position. Doesn’t seem like anything to worry about if it’s what I’m thinking. This has happened to me a few times in my career. It’s a good thing that you overcorrected. Most people don’t wear their rubber bands appropriately and never get any correction.
Hi! 🙂 Correcting an overbite is part of orthodontic treatment, usually braces or Invisalign. The cost for treatment varies widely and usually depends on case complexity.
Everyone’s time in treatment is different and depends on the needs each person has. Treatment can range anywhere from 3 years to only 6 months. My experience is that the average case takes about 1.5 - 2 years to finish properly.
Hi sir is it possible to grow back my receding gum
I have overbite but i didnt get these rubber bands yet why?
So are the rubberbands pulling the jaw forward?
Is a 4mm overjet the same as an overbite? Would i need rubber bands to fix this?

Once the jaw alignment is fixed is it permanent?
In my experience, yes. The bite is unlikely to shift. If there’s any shifting, it’s usually the teeth themselves due to the lack of retainer wear.
My Ortho shaved some of my teeth today and I just don't know why. Can you explain in a next video pls?
Are you having that much guilt to ask to your ortho itself 🤔🙂😂
do you take the rubber bands off when eating?
Yes

การจัดฟันแบบนี้ถูกเรียกว่าอะไร
Invisalign or clear aligners
Will this improve jawline
it will depend on the case and age, if you are a teen it will have a deeper effect in your jaw possibly
For how long though?

Dangerous scam.
