The Spectacular Spider-Man[b] is an American superhero animated television series based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man, created and developed by Greg Weisman and Victor Cook. In terms of overall tone and style, the series is based principally on the Stan Lee, Steve Ditko, and John Romita Sr. era of The Amazing Spider-Man comic books, with a similar balance of action, drama, and comedy as well as a high school setting. However, it also tends to blend material from all eras of the comic's run-up to that point in addition to other sources such as the Ultimate Spider-Man comics by Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley, as well as Sam Raimi's Spider-Man film series.

A great detail of subtle writing that I noticed a while ago was that on 0:15 - 0:21, Spider-Man isn't dodging attacks from behind him like usual. Such a clever detail from the writers that's so well hidden and a big reveal once we find out Peter was asleep this whole fight. It explains why Peter's spider sense wasn't working since the symbiote was trying to suppress his consciousness to keep him asleep during this whole fight.
Ur a genius for mentioning that! On a side note, wouldn't Peter's spider sense work regardless if he was asleep. There were times Peter would remain either unconscious or dazed and his spider sense would still chime in🤔🤷♂️
@@matrix_killer2455 I think that's also another detail from the writers to show that the symbiote only has control of Peter's body and physical powers, but not his mind and mental abilities. While using Peter's body to fight, the symbiote clearly has access to Spider-Man's physical powers like his super strength and adhesive body, but since the spider sense is a mental power and not a physical ability, the symbiote doesn't have access to it since its a power that's tied more directly into Peter's mind rather than his physical body. And since the symbiote is clearly suppressing Peter's mind in order to keep him asleep this whole fight, it also lost access to the spider sense power as a consequence. Remember earlier in the episode when Peter 1st fought the Sinister 6 and his spider sense warned him of more enemies, but he still got hit since he didn't react on time. The continuity of Peter's spider sense power is varied depending on the writer and it seems like this version of Spider-Man still has to react to the danger his spider sense warns him of and it isn't an automatic reaction whenever his sense is triggered.
Damn that's good spider sense your damn self
Considering that the alien was doing all the work while keeping Peter asleep, at least he’s lucky the symbiote didn’t discredit Spidey’s reputation by killing any villains.
It came close to killing Dr. Octopus but the police showed up just in time to save him. Worse case the symbiote decides to fight the cops too.
Ок разозлил его желанием снять его с Паркера @@OmegaDarkMage
It was close to, it wanted to remove the obstacles from its host’s life and make it better by killing his enemies, but it knew it would cause bad public opinion when caught by George Stacy and fled
It would if it could, but fortunately better or worse didn’t get chance to
He almost did.
My favorite fight in the TV series.
I feel like the symbiote was giving the sinster six the Batman treatment .
They should’ve made a season 3 and more upcoming seasons of The Spectacular Spider-Man. Two seasons really wasn’t enough. They should’ve brought the avengers Spectacular Spider-Man in like season 4 or 5 if they made one! That would’ve been epic!
Don't forget the X-men
Imagine the show being allowed to show Spidey experiencing deaths of the Stacys or other characters in seasons 3-4 to progress his character and story.
1:09 Best part of the battle he like bring horn head.
Rhino
Still the all time greatest fight of all time
Loved this series❤❤

You have to be worry when Spiderman is quiet.
Their Universe didn't have the Avengers
They should’ve because this is my favorite Spider-Man animation!
The Marvel Multiverse confirmed
It did tho they have pretty much confirmed this is the same universe as "Earths Mightiest Avengers"
So that means he's the animated version of Andrew Garfield's Spider Man. Ha knew it
Actually it was intended to be a connected to Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes and Wolverine and The X-Men.
I’m really praying that shows like ‘Invincible’ cause a sort of renaissance that makes studios realize that superhero animation doesn’t always have to be for kids. It should really be a no brainer as there are a lot of tricks of the trade that can keep the budget of an animated show low allowing for better action set pieces and solid writing compared to live action shows who have to direct the budget to making the VFX look good.
I’m not saying that live action shows that have a lot of CGI can’t have good writing however something always suffers because of their inflated budgets sometimes even including the CGI.
Loved this Spider-Man show
I feel like Marvel's Spider-Man 2 borrowed a few ideas here. Specifically the idea of the symbiote wearing Peter, rather than the other way around.
That’s been a thing since the comics. It’s not exactly a new concept.

Me and the boys playing with the new kid at the park

Imagine this Six being used against Maguire, Garfield and Holland, each Spidey would know how to deal with two members each.
Maguire - Ock and Sandman
Garfield - Electro and Rhino
Holland - Vulture and Shocker
Awesome spiderman dcr venom❤🎉😂
That’s it 1:11
I would love for a show where the symbiote and spiderman actually communicate and help each other out so that it doesnt turn bad instead peter gives it a chance talks with it and realises it wants to be good as well and from then all sorts of stuff can happen symbiote can go out at night while peter is sleeping so hes fully rested during the day or heck even split off so that theres a symbiote spider man and a red and blue spiderman fighting side by side helping each other out and the symbiote even latching back onto peter and doing this back and forth combo on an baddie etc
More like the symbiote defeated them since Spider-Man was asleep through all this and even admitted after on he never actually beat the 6.
Um, couldn't you make that video a bit longer? It's not actually a full fight.
Tom Holland's Spiderman wouldn't last 2 minutes in this fight
Even the Spectacular Spider-Man himself struggled to fight them all at once that he had to retreat. Until the symbiote took over while he's sleeping.
Same goes for Tom, if the symbiote took him over, that'll be exactly what's going to happen here.
@@wisethabrain1100 ehhhh it’s complicated. Tom’s Spider-Man is so inconsistent with his mastery over his powers in the MCU. In Civil War he seemed like he had a great handle on them, but then Homecoming nerfs him hard (Civil War Peter would’ve treated Vulture like a joke tbh). Then in Infinity War, he’s fighting like he knows his powers again, but in Far From Home, he’s struggling to use his spider sense properly. (Seems like the Russos make him a badass and then John Watts just says “let’s nerf him for plot tho”, which is just dumb to me) After No Way Home tho, I’d argue he’d do fairly well, since it seems they went through some much needed course correction.
