Aligning that story of horrific violence visited upon a sexual or romantic rival with the otherwise seemingly-touching sentiment of "I have been in love once before" was something I found pretty chilling -- especially given Scylla's really creeptastic depiction later in the story.

It's actually a part of the story: Glaucus was the Old Man in the Sea who asked Circe to create a love potion to enchant the nymph Scylla...but Circe fell in love with Glaucus and cursed Scylla instead.

Granted, this is the take that Jorge is going with (he points out Circe's motif showing up in moments related to Scylla, after all) but as with all the Greek myths, they get muddled and murky at times.

It's a tie in to the next animatic I'm making, which is Underworld. According to the myths, Circe instructed Odysseus to do some ritual to get to the Underworld, including TRIGGER WARNING - animal sacrifice, specifically a lamb.
Hate to ruin anyone's childhood but in the Odyssey, Odysseus agrees to her that he'll sleep with her if she lets he and his crew leave , that's their oath . He the proceeds to spending 1yr with her before leaving 😂😅 Our boy ain't as faithful as he is over here , furthermore is that Heremes told him to . 😂
