I don’t necessarily think he’s a sociopath, all I see/hear is an old school NYC dude. Loud, assertive, confident and says whatever is on his mind to whomever, without hesitation. NYC is an exhilarating, vibrant and intoxicating place. The city that never sleeps because it’s almost as if the city itself is on drugs, an infinite mainline of high grade cocaine and 1990’s era extacy (when they were called “rolls”) flowing directly into its infrastructure. I don’t think it’s possible for someone born and raised there to possess, in the slightest, any timid or subservient characteristics/tendencies. If I’m not mistaken, this guy started abusing drugs and alcohol which eventually turned more towards the addictive/problematic side. Maybe he did this due to the guilt he felt from his actions. A true sociopath just flat out wouldn’t give a shit. Just my unwarranted opinion. I will say, once you step into that life, especially robbing and selling large quantities of cocaine, it becomes a dog eat dog world very quick. Survival of the fittest. Damn, I didn’t intend to write such a long comment. Apologies for rambling.
Well, there is definition of a sociopath, so it really isn't open to opinion. As far as he being a loud, confident New Yorker, you should watch his interview on Soft White Underbelly. He tells a lot about himself as he entered the force. He was not a confident guy. He was scared as hell. Anyone who likes this guy's story HAS GOT to hop over to Soft White Underbelly. It's an amazing interview.

I remember when I moved into a house back in 2007 to grow weed in. I didn’t sleep properly for over 2 years and was so relieved when the police busted me.
Captivating. Ironically it is appealing due to Dowd’s accountability and frankness. Besides, I lived in NEW YORK CITY the first 55 years of my life and witnessed East New York as virtually being a war zone during the period Mike described. With so much crime and corruption it’s easy to understand how a young cop can get entangled. Make a few unwise decisions and you can get yourself in knee deep with little room for escape. Great interview! I look forward to seeing a movie.
I worked in East New York and Brownsville with the homeless population. You still see senseless killings all the time. Children and elderly catching a stray bullet.
This is how most NYPD officers talk from my experience ... very straight forward and matter of fact. Only thing weird really is he seems a little jumpy and fidgety. Maybe he still working through some of Noreaga's coke .
This guy was a bad cop and leaves viewers w/the impression all cops are like him. I was a working cop for 30 years, never took a dime from anyone and followed the rules until I retired in 1997, just like 98% police officers in the country. I know this post will generate lots of comments from the know-nothing keyboard commandos, but I am damn proud of the service we provided to our city.
What 24 years after the retirement you want to speak on what the profession is like? Ive been arrested in the last 5 years. I know more about the state of policing than you do.
you said it right. the know-nothings have no idea how bad much of a cop's worklife is. unless they live it, they'll never know. that's understandable, but shooting their mouth off like they do know, is not worthy of a comment back to them. thanks for your service

@No Offence 🤣🤣🤣 hater in the house
@No Offence let’s be honest those movies become box office hits my G . I’m from Belfast Ireland and we live for those movies 🍿 🎥
No apology required✅
great read though
@@leocostigan4061
Your ok Leo
Thanks
You mean when it was called "E" and not "X", because the users back then had graduated high school and knew how to spell.
The real training day.. I wanna go home 😂😂😂
This is unintentionally Vlad's funniest interview.
Ive seen all of Michaels interviews. It never gets old hearing his stories. I cant wait for a movie to come out.
You’re kidding right? There is a movie already....and a great one at that
@@matthewpreston1396 what is it called. I seen the documentary of the 7 5
"The Seven Five" is on streaming platforms. Its about him and his crew.
it is one . its called training day. /s
Vlad can’t even believe the things he’s hearing, you can tell by his “hhm “ “okay” responses 😂😂
That’s how he responds to everything on every interview.
Yeah unfortunately that "hmmm, ok" response isn't unique to this interview. I absolutely hate it.
@@mydogniko very true but they sounded a bit more condensing here for me, personally. Lbs
@@tylerpurvis5658 very true.
@@Bewtiful1126 right. Ok... 😉
If you missed all 70 parts in the last two weeks here’s the final product
🤣🤣
😂😂😂 You can say that again...
What I’ve been waiting for lol
I know right. I’m been punching in the air after every clip wanting the full interview! 🤣
That’s good for me. I missed all 184 parts.
Great interview, great guest
Best interview in Vlad history. The movie if done right will be an absolute classic.
This actually nice! Giving your predecessors a chance to talk about what they did in the past which you're currently doing now! Good lookin out Vlad 👏🏽
Pathetic
And you wonder why Black people are so angry!😣
This is a great interview, keep bringing em like this ...
If I was locked away in the slammer for 15, I’d want Dowd as a celly. Dude could tell stories with the best of them
If this guy is as animated straight imagine him on coke
😂🤣😂🤣🤦♂️🤦♂️
Lmfaoooooooooooooo yo 😂
He is on coke here... or Adderall. The way he's licking his lips I can tell.
Nah coke isn’t cool bro it ruined lives
@@thecoolest5968 nobody said it was
I completely understand the peaceful feeling he's talking about when you finally get booked I've been on the run before or have had multiple warrants for my arrest and when you get booked you can finally relax and breathe again kinda anyway thanks for his story Vlad
Damm what a feeling to imagine.
Dude being on the run s like living on borrowed time, can't get a good night's sleep or truly ever get comfortable and relax
I remember when I moved into a house back in 2007 to grow weed in. I didn’t sleep properly for over 2 years and was so relieved when the police busted me.
@@westie420uk yup I can relate it's like finally ya are free from the weight of it all
Bofl 😂😂🤣🤣 that be that stress😬
The crazy part is there still doing it and it will never stops!!!
Trump land.
I could talk to that dude for hours and never get bored.
I never watch interviews this long usually, but it was sooo interesting watched the entire thing lol..
loved this interview
The seven five Documentary is fire!!
This guy is hilarious! He speaks so matter of fact and so nonchalant about the shit he was doing 🤣🤣🤣
Lol real talk
It is what it is lol
Narcissism
Watch the doc - it's even better, it's fuckin incredible what they were doing and how well he tells it
This is how most NYPD officers talk from my experience ... very straight forward and matter of fact. Only thing weird really is he seems a little jumpy and fidgety. Maybe he still working through some of Noreaga's coke .
Probably best interview so far.
I enjoy Micheal Dowds story, if your gonna do it, make sure you do it right.
Doing it right would be not getting caught or stashing money for after prison. Not losing everything bc you bought to many houses
Very forthcoming interview. The best interview.
It's more than you'd expect, way more than 2 percent. There's more than 2% of them that beats their wife.
Amen, thank you for your service!
I’m glad you stayed clean all cops aren’t crooks, but that 98% probably more like 50-60% in the high end
Loved this interview honestly loved how he told his stories the humor wasn't bad either
Was there anything funny 🤷♂️
I watched the documentary 2 weeks ago for the first time best one I have seen in a long time anyone who hasn’t watched it’s a must see!
What's it called
@@bobbywillmac5275 seven five
I found Jimmy's story fascinating from the interview, book and TV series. The honesty he conveys in this interview needs to be commended.
I am hooked on these VladTV interviews! My favorites are the mafia guys but this crooked cop may be my favorite!
“I taught Adam Diaz everything he knew about the drug business”
- Gianni Russo
Lol
Thank you for this well done and insightful interview. Opens ones eyes to what’s going on out there with the politics of things and explains how the lines can get blurred.
Lidia trust me tht sht he was tlkn does not scratch the surface of what was really goin on in those streets!!!... I'm from there and experienced tht era...NOTHING SHORT OF A DOMESTIC WARZONE!!!
Americans rotten soul.
Thank you VLAD and Micheal for letting people know exactly how corrupt our system is from top to bottom. The moral of the story is you always have the best intentions when you start and as time goes bye you tend to lose more and more of your morals because you are taught to do so. We need to come together and stop these people instead of fighting each other. Don’t fall into the trap
There's going to be bad people in every job no matter what it is, it's not just the "system"
It's like this everywhere, trust me.
This dude did this stuff like 35 years ago, with tech nowadays for police to be able to get away with corrupt behavior it’s almost impossible
IT starts with The Pride that's in your own heart and you WON'T humble yourself and live for The SOUVERIGN GOD who created you For His GLORY.🙋💯🍎🧐😃

“Putting me in those situations… he was feeding my natural tendencies “ lol
Anyone who HASN'T seen "The 75" Documentary needs to watch that shit tonight.. And if you have seen it watch it a second time.. Its as good as it gets... Its actually on TH-cam.
Hands down best doc ever
I'm going to watch it before I watch this I wanna see Hollywood version then I want to here it from the guy himself
@@okk6525 yeah bro it’s fuckin awesome I’m from east ny it shows how my neighborhood really was and is. Really a crazy story you gonna enjoy it
You're welcome
You’re the man
Crazy how the politics of the city giving the officers shit for clogging the system with minor charges turned officers bad. smh new york sucks
I just said this to my bf. Lol
Take away their overtime pay that they've become accustomed to, it should be expected. It's very difficult to adjust your lifestyle downwards with a decrease in income. Not justifying anything this guy did, that part of it is just a fact of life and human nature.
this is crazy i watched this 2 times now ,amazing interview probably the best one so far
Out of all the gangsters Vlad has interviewed whether its rappers or mobsters this guy Dowd takes the cake.
U a weirdo
@@NoNippleNarc is that the best your brain could come up with? Hope you didnt hurt yourself

One of the best interviews; even though Vlad is a bad interviewer; but Michale Dowd one funny guy and what a crazy life.
VlAD is Berkeley educated
All he says is ok like they used to say to tyson when they didn't know what to say it's the white reporter go to
@@patriciakirk6566could have fooled me. Horrible interviewer.
Dam that was a good interview. Glad you should really consider releasing them all together like this instead of the bread crumbs u put out.
Bread crumbs is where the money is. Why release one video doing 100k or how ever many views when you can release 20 clips from the same interview and have them all doing similar numbers.
Officer Dowd is by far the biggest G you've ever interviewed.
Definitely need that movie, but they need to make it accurate and have Michael Dowd’s input directly on set. Great interview, interesting life
What's the name of the documentary & where can I find it
@@THEHCIC1 the 75 documentary its on youtube
If Vlad ever gets somebody who knows how to interview people this channel would be fantastic.
This ain’t it. I get as annoyed with Vlad as everyone else does but to say he doesn’t know how to interview ain’t true cuz this channel wouldn’t be nearly as big if he wasn’t a good interviewer
Damnn
So glad people are starting to be honest about this.
Bummer he never mentioned name of the documentary.. really want to watch 🖤
