Renee's dry humor cracks me up, and I also enjoy her video work! Video footage between anchorages are my favorite viewing times....the most interest for me is in the sailing to a new destination but I of course I enjoy the whole video. Thank all of you!
Wow, I got to tell you... I watch a lot of sailing videos, and have for years, but major kudos to Keith. I have never, ever seen a video where a guy ran into a tree in the middle of the Pacific! You Texans rock!
Hit logs 10 metres long. Aluminium Dinghy or what us Aussies call tinnies. almost a shipping container. dead whale. hit a Dolphin once as was real rough and they were surfing on our bow. boat came crashing down off a big wave and hit the Dolphin.
Love your videos. Keith your a saint. All that drama and you still just go with the flow. That buddy boat system is really nice, fun and added saftey. Thank you Guys and gals....
Definitely worth the wait!! So pleased to see Kate is much better, and you all seem to be settling into the lifestyle now. It's really marvellous to see you guys and your adventures. Thanks so much for such great videos.
Awesome, new comment to a 2 year old video. I watched ALL of your videos from the Cat to present, then backtracked to the first video of your Beneteau purchase to this episode. Even though I am a guy, I think your scuba toenail coloring is spot on! I cracked up. Keep on keeping on you guys; inspiring. I am a new sailor as of 1 month ago, no sailing exp. I am learning tons from TH-cam and will take the same ASA classes you did this weekend Love your channel. Wonderful family. Mike Forbes, Marina Del Rey, CA. Age 60 with a triple bypass 4 years ago. I love the water.
Yet another fantastic video folks. Enjoy your diving in Paradise. Can I suggest one thing about un fouling ropes and lines from the Hull. As a diver myself and someone who has been caught up in Fishing gear, its always best to have a 2nd stage reg even if its on an extended hose from your cylinder, free diving into netting can be very dangerous. Sorry for the negative comment, but I hope it helps.
Awesome video fam! May I suggest a wind sock over the microphone to reduce wind noise, and great to see Kate lose her cast! Love her pink hair! Safe travels and following seas.... Bryan from Vancouver.
I am loving your families adventure! awesome video everyone! I feel like i am watching national geographic. Iearned the hard way that fresh fruits and vegies cannot be brought into another country. while returning from mexico I had an apple ispn my carryon, the specialized dogs smelt it and customs in the US had to hand check all of my belongings! they didnot find anything but it sure was embarasing .Treasure these special memories, your trip is going to go so fast
Well how far you have come, you guys are great and Keith remember going back to the bow thruster not working and you got frustrated and snapped at those trying to help, well look at how you just allow people to help and you seem so much more relaxed. Way to go guys your really open sailors and have the best videos on youtube.
Renee how did you ever leave Ecuador without taking a baby ot two with you all. They all looked so so loving and needed a family to take them home and love them.
I have been watching your videos for a while and I decided to go back and watch your old one and I love that Keith learned how to splice the lines for the hammocks. I am in the navy and part of my job is knots and splicing so I really loved that part of your video 😁
I use to work for a company and all of our line trucks used rope.We use to splice a eye in the rope so that they could have a hook. We use markers to mark the rope and we would sew it. they got up to a 1 1/2 inch so they started using another brand so it drop to 1 1/8 and we had to put a splice in a splice. We would burn up a good pair of leather gloves pulling that double splice together but we still sewed it.
Thanks for the great videos guys. Showed my wife these videos and now she has seen how it is possible to sail with kids. keep safe guys and keep them coming.
Oh, Renee, "it stinks like the most stinking dead rotten fish I have ever put my nose to", I really loved it:) By the way, Keith is a hell of a boat handy man and a heck of a sailor. Antonio, the 18 wheeler
Cliff hanger - well done! Can't wait to see your adventures at the Galapagos; diving, hiking, exploring. Love the nailpolish, haha, done that too... Katie getting better with her arm, or still bothering her? Hope she's fine! Well guys, enjoy the Galapagos (that's probabaly what you're doing right now..), looking forward to next week's episode!! Stay safe, have fun! With love, Sandra
A buddy boat is great risk management. Its not only for when things go Tango Uniform. It also helps in watch keeping and more. Many a night watch I was thankful for someone to talk on the V with. A friend is still alive due to a buddy boat after a capsize 980 nm off San Diego. My first memory is a swamping of our boat in an oft treacherous channel between islands and swift rescue by buddy boat. Love the diver's flag nails. The sailing life allows such frivolity. I shaved the port side of my beard and kept it that way for two weeks before making port. Both 'ho' and 'ahoy' are derived from similar middle English/Dutch. Both can be defined as salutations. However, in modern common usage, ahoy as a greeting of a boat or person, similar to 'hello'; ho is an exclamation to attract attention as in making landfall in this case. I suppose it doesn't really matter. Did I miss it? I hardly believe you didn't have the hazing party at the equator, especially with so many swabs aboard.
7.5.2023. 4 am and I've been binge watching your videos. I don't question much of what you do, but I am curious why we are seeing the anchor chain drag over fiberglass at 22:54 in the video? I know I'll never see an answer, still I must try....
Another really great video. Can't wait for the next one. Looking forward to seeing the G Islands. Love your intro to the videos by the way. That song goes through my head a lot now!
Amazing video! Thanks so much for sharing. I like the the way you present everything in such a realistic manner. I feel like I am on the boat with you. I share your frustrations and your fun and exciting times like the kids jumping off the boat. Are you not worried about sharks at night with Keith in the water? Look forward to the next one.
Just small advice... don't freedive next to fishing nets! Not safe if you stuck - you have very limited time to free yourself. Better to put the tank and have possibility to react for any danger - like being stuck in a rope or fihing net etc.
Hate to say it all that brown stuff on the anchor chain is sewage from the nearby cities. Off the west coast of Mexico the sewage collects around the Sargasso seaweed and you have floating ocean lily pads of raw sewage.
I agree, I can't afford to watch sailing video's, 2 grand here, over 3 grand for panama canal. Then the price of food and fuel. I guess instead of rich and famous I'm poor and pathetic lol
my friend is really scared of the sea so she would be shocked that you went into the ocean in the dark! p.s yes i know im watching this 3 years later very good videos though!!
Why do countries charge so much for entry permits, there needs to be a fee for control, but 2 grand for the Galapagos how many would not go because of that, then you have the other fees for anchorage. As you have in the past, excellent video guys. Cheers Swany
Paul Swan. The Galapagos has a real fragile enviroment and need to be kept the way it is. With booming tourism the last 15 - 20 years they need a lot of money to keep it that way and keep track of all tourists that visit. Galapagos hardly got any other income than tourism so the fees are pretty high.
Paul Swan. No its not a ripoff. Do some reading about the island and the hapitate and you will know. The island would have been destroyed if they didnt have their income to protect it. And you DON'T have to visit the island, thats a choise.
Hi Simon, I am not saying its a rip off, but if it was a bit lower, maybe more would come, & have another way the help pay to keep it the way it is for all... Its like here in Australia, its a long way down by blue water, you get here & get hit with what I feel is a fee way to high, most boats that arrive need work from such a long hall & most stay for a long time, so the government makes money any way, the more boats that would come the more employment. Any way I look forward to your next video. Cheers Swany
In case anyone is wondering Tanda Malaikaa run into some corals in the society islands, and as they had no insurance they pretty much lost everything... sad story
Oh you just posted your new video for this week! But I can't watch it yet bc spoilers 😂 but for sure by next thursday I'll be caught up to watch when it posts ;D

He didn't run into a tree - it was fishing line!!
@@lindsayshockledge579 looks like tree 11:30
Us Texans call that fishing line when we want to go for the big catfish & striper at the dam of Texoma. Gotta cast into the hole!
@@Nomadistar Exagerate much, Keith brags of that big fish he caught.
Lol wasn't even that big
Hit logs 10 metres long. Aluminium Dinghy or what us Aussies call tinnies.
almost a shipping container.
dead whale. hit a Dolphin once as was real rough and they were surfing on our bow. boat came crashing down off a big wave and hit the Dolphin.
I can’t think of many things freakier than diving under a boat in the middle of the ocean at night 😬
Love your videos. Keith your a saint. All that drama and you still just go with the flow. That buddy boat system is really nice, fun and added saftey. Thank you Guys and gals....

Good work crew! Love watching your families' maturation on the boat and unification as a team. Be safe and enjoy.
Delos has an infrared flashlight for filming at night, so the camera can see the light but no one else can. Nice video!

Keith that pirate beard is comin along nicely. You've come a long way from 5-6 months ago as a captain of Zatara.
Yet another fantastic video folks. Enjoy your diving in Paradise.

A nice look at what it's like to actually sail. 🤙
I like watching your videos. I have caught the boat bug myself. Sailing isn't as easy as just buying a boat...
Dayuum, $2,000 for a sailing permit, Galapagos ! WTF.
I was thinking the same thing...ouch!
LIX 59
Yes that seems very high.
Yeah that definitely seems a little pricey. A giant cash gouge.
Found you guys on Gone With the Wynns. Loving the binge from the beginning! Thank you
Buddy boating sounds like the way to go.
Another fantastic video. I've been caught up in those nets at night too. And yes, its always at night. Keep the vids coming,
Cheers
I thought you were bailing back in Fort Lauderdale, now you are about to take boat yourselves and land on shores of Galapagos.
Inspiring. Awesome!
Have a safe and enjoyable voyage. Really enjoy your vlog series, keep up the great work. Love the Chips Ahoy comment... still laughing.

out in blue water , now you have to watch the movie 47 meters down lol

LOL thats why I love ya'll, drift wood and driver down toenails...great
It's "Land Ho" and "Ship Ahoy"
haha Renee - the toenails are great!
12:02 finnaly releasing the zatara from the zatara
2 grand for a cruising permit is nuts. Great video TFS have fun.
Grandpa's Farm Goes Sailing. No its not. Do some reading about the islands and you will know:)
I am well versed on them, It still seems unreasonably high. No other place on earth charges that much.
I agree, I can't afford to watch sailing video's, 2 grand here, over 3 grand for panama canal. Then the price of food and fuel. I guess instead of rich and famous I'm poor and pathetic lol
You and me both brother, You and me both!
Grandpa's Farm Goes Sailing. Thats the beauty of sailing. You can go wherever you want and avoid those expensive places 😀.
14:35 I thought something else was happening there for a second!
Great video guys. btw I think "land ahoy" is correct
my friend is really scared of the sea so she would be shocked that you went into the ocean in the dark! p.s yes i know im watching this 3 years later very good videos though!!
Yay for fresh toes! Casz can relate!
Missed your videos this week.
did you have any equator crossing ceremony for the kids?
That is a beautiful gigantic cockpit , beautiful boat actually
Btw nice vids
Hello, I am a big fan of your videos. But I had a question on how you put an image of your boat over a map. What program are you using? Thank you.
A dream destination!!!!
Buddy boating yes

Nice video! JC
Awesome video as usual :)
I think a better question is why does everything happen in South America?
Another great vid, hows the school work going? Are you coming to our Aussie shores?
why are the waters so muddy in equador?
Why no light on boat at night?
Why to so any sailboats have wooden decks? Is it for wet traction?
In case anyone is wondering Tanda Malaikaa run into some corals in the society islands, and as they had no insurance they pretty much lost everything... sad story
I care because I'm a Diver as well. Dive safe
I dunno where to contact but I was wondering if you'll be visiting england?:)
Oh you just posted your new video for this week! But I can't watch it yet bc spoilers 😂 but for sure by next thursday I'll be caught up to watch when it posts ;D
a tree in the middle of the ocean?
You're too tired dude to have so many bodies on your boat. Put their butts to work! You need some rest.
HA. LOVE THE SCUBA TOES
Thanks for sharing 😋
❤❤❤
How much is it to keep/by scuba gear
You need an electric power washer to clean the boat and all that nasty stuff off the lines and chains.
what kind of boat is malika?
awesone guys i love it :-) stay save
good stuff
Read your receipt from the government of Equador: $1000 for Galapagos Isands, $1000 for sticky stuff on anchor gear. Have a nice day Gringo.
