People are so over dramatic with colossus . Ill usually get 3 or 4 rides on each day im at thorpe and ive never found it rough . Yet i find Saw almost un rideable @Dtp2296
Whent on collosus 3 times today I thoght it was a little rough and my head was like bopping about a bit but I didn't get a headache just a hip cramp from the 4 Inversions in a row
@therocketexpress I've never had an issue with the restraints as long as you sit on an odd numbered row . I'm 6ft1 and about 12 stone, and I fit fine . No headbanging or anything . Yalls are just over dramatic , too tall , short or fat 😂
Most rides a pleasurewood hills could be a contender a lot of them are pretty old and that leads to them being pretty uncomfortable the park in general has seen better days in my opinion
Turbo at Brighton Pier wasn’t as bad as I expected it to be. The jank is quite fun and the drop off the lift hill feels weirdly whippy. There’s some head choppers though near the end and I’m quite tall and I thought my time had come, I can’t lie.
I've been on Tornado at M&D's and it is truly the worst, I wasn't even there for the theme park it was just weirdly next to our hotel so we went as you only payed for the rides you went on. Before I found out Pinfari made it, I just presumed some mad Scott in a shed had done it. But yeah it had quite a lot going on 2 loops, 2 inversions and a corkscrew. Firstly the strap holding me in was frayed, it was very rough, all I remember from it is being jiggled about and I paid £2.50 for the privilege, the track was rusting and it had scaffolding around it and no one else in my group would go on it but me, because they didn't trust it. So it was just me and a couple on the thing. we were both put in the middle, I never thought about how odd that was but later on I found out the ride is so bad at the ends, the guy was just trying to make the ride as pain free as possible. I genuinely don't remember much about about it, except my head getting smashed about. There is a video of it on TH-cam and the camera breaks before the ride is over because it got smashed on the last inversion it was that bad, that last inversion was also later removed due to it being so bad.
I went on Hero and didn't find it that bad, but I was too busy trying to make sure my glasses didn't fall off. My knees have never recovered from 'The Ultimate' that's no longer at LWV, but BPB' Grand National will take months off your life, nobody leaves that coaster the same way they got on it.
I'm the kind of old that remembers when Colossus was new and shiny and the big thing. Back then it was buttery smooth and the thrill of going through the barrel rolls at the end was what got me into coasters big time. It's really kinda tragic to see it become so old and feeble and painful to ride. I wish they'd give it a retrack or updated trains.
I’ll never forget my first time going on infusion, the only hanging rollercoaster (ik inverted and suspended coasters are different now but i didn’t back then) I’d been on was nemesis so I was really looking forward to it… boy was it a surprise😭 I had a conch piercing that had only recently healed and the headbanging made it bleed an absolute ton, it never healed right after that and I eventually had to take it out, also got a massive headache, i had to go on icon afterwards to cheer myself up
I actually didn’t find colossus to painful a few years ago but vampire is ssooo rickety and shaking this year. Happy birthday and congrats on 80,k subs 🎉🎉
I was at Brighton last week and went on that ride and the wild mouse too They are the most painful rides and feel like you are going to need a wheel chair after
Completely agree with Rita. Those over lap restraints have no cushioning at all anymore. It’s almost like iv got 2 pieces of wood going over both shoulders. And the brake at the end is a killer. The rides in desperate need of a revamp or at least new restraints.
I went on it a few weeks ago and really liked it. When it takes more and more to really be "thrilled" by rides a little bit of "holy crap" feeling goes a long way. I was saying "whoa" and giggling so that's a win for me.
Is grand National called that because it feels like you’ve been horse whipped all the way round ?? Defo had my LAST EVER ride on this last week…a week later and still got massive bruise on my thigh
Went on infusion at blackpool pleasure beach a couple months ago and bc of it being a inverted coaster I was worried I was gonna lose my crocs on it- believe me, when the first drop happened, losing my shoes was the least of my worries 😭😭😭
Saw for that finished my day off early on my first ever visit a few weeks ago--i even had 2 fast pass things left that i gave to a lad and his mum--we did go back a few days later just gave saw a miss
LEGIT,I LOVE the theming but… it’s slightly painful , you’re getting pulled side to side along with sharp turns.I also find it quiteeee overated. I agree with u buddy.
Hero may be a torture device, but turbo is torture itself (this is coming from someone who has only done it in the front row which is typically the smoothest)
How spinball whizzer wasn’t mentioned is crazy, that thing is horrible! Im 6’2 so my legs do not have a comfortable amount of room. Also I know it isn’t a roller coaster, but the seats on rush at Thorpe park have such an odd shape. Why is there a bump in the back rest? Were the seats designed for people with lordosis? Every time I ride I just lean forward over the restraint haha, makes it more thrilling too!
@@louie9305 you're right about spinball, not a moment of enjoyment and just when you think it's over it tries to snap your neck straightening the car!!
Used to go Skegness as a child and never went on odyssey at Pleasure island. But found myself working in the area earlier this year so scived off to finally go on it. Wow I came off with so much pain I couldn't believe it
Odyssey at fantasy island, my god absolute headbanger. Ride it 3 times simply that drop into that loop is amazing, but that's what it ends those inversions are so painful if feels like your heads going to fall off and land in the car park!
The worst I did was the Steeple Chase at Blackpool Pleasure Beach!! It was a real white knuckle ride.. it’s a steel pole with a horse on and when it goes round corners you feel like you are falling off!! Terrifying, Never again!!! ❌❌❌
When I was at flamingo land with my friends my friends all wanted to go on zoom as a joke except me because it’s a kids ride but I came on anyways because I didn’t want to wait on my own then we got stuck at the lift hill for 15 minutes straight.
Creepy crawler at Oakwood Theme Park was retracked this year and it’s running really smoothly. Yes it still has the trains that should be blown up but the ride is running really smoothly this year. Just needs a new train now
"Turbo" at Brighton pier is the worst, that thing is incredibly dodgy, the track is really old and janky, the restraints are incredibly loose and hard as rock, you spend the whole ride being knocked between the rock hard restraints and the chair which is just as hard, i had so much pain getting off that ride, the pain overrides any feeling of excitement or adrenaline, it just felt like pain.
Hi Dan last time I went on mellenium at fantasy it was really wet and I could stand up in the restraints through some of the air Time hill still one of my favourite rides
When I went on rattle snake with my two friends and I had no leg room and was basically beaten up and I was in pain from it for weeks on end and I'm still in pain now and the two people who were makeing sure you get of said and I quote 'I hope you enjoyed the best ride in the world' and my pop badge fell of and is still gone now so sad 😢😢😢😢😢😢

I rode infusion recently and couldn’t hear anything for 10 minutes out of my left ear 😂
I'm so sorry for that
😂
When I rode infusion it gave me a nosebleed from my head bashing against the sides 😂
Rita does not deserve the hate. It’s rlly smooth on the front and back and overall a fun and enjoyable layout through the trees
Unpopular opinion: The big dipper and the grand national are great and the roughness makes it more thrilling.
until you end up like robert sycamore 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
I kinda agree
congrats on 80k Dan! crazy how much you’ve grown over the last few months, keep it up you’re acing it atm! 🙏🏻

Marble madness at pleasurewood hills, it's turns are so sharp and the breaks make your ribs feel like they're gonna collapse

Everyone asks what your top bucket list coasters are but what about the coasters you will never want to ride
Family star - Pleasure Beach, Great Yarmouth.
The spins are brutal and the whole coaster moves and bends as the trains go around it..
Completely agree with Rita. Those over lap restraints have no cushioning at all anymore. It’s almost like iv got 2 pieces of wood going over both shoulders. And the brake at the end is a killer. The rides in desperate need of a revamp or at least new restraints.

Honestly I don’t think rattlesnake is that rough, I personally quite enjoy it, although the restraints aren’t the most comfortable tbf
Sik lap bars on them loops at the end is the most painful out of any of these! Won’t be in a rush to ride that again for sure.
Saw for that finished my day off early on my first ever visit a few weeks ago--i even had 2 fast pass things left that i gave to a lad and his mum--we did go back a few days later just gave saw a miss
wickerman is SO painful i always have to pop two paracetamols afterwards but nobody else gets me
i subluxated my wrist last ride on it 💀 love it tho one of my favs at alton

grand national is horrific so much that that poor bloke was left paralysed
He had an underlying health condition. He was paralysed because of the ride itself.
When I was at flamingo land with my friends my friends all wanted to go on zoom as a joke except me because it’s a kids ride but I came on anyways because I didn’t want to wait on my own then we got stuck at the lift hill for 15 minutes straight.
