    What an awesome looking trip!
    I have done a couple trips very similar to that, crossfox sleds, a bunch of WT’s or SWT’s, AO’s, and Coors Lights.
    I think we have many of the same interests as well, I was the one who always took pictures and videos and turned them into movies. They all have copyrighted music so I don’t put them on TH-cam, but I have posted a couple on Facebook.
    I am glad that there are people out there traveling like that. I am still making some trips but it is hard to get a gang all free at the same time, and takes a bit more planning and motivation.
    Watching the ice you drove on makes me thankful for the nice solid ice we have around Kotzebue. Overflow and white outs can get people, but around here not usually any open water or real thin spots that are not predictable and few.
    Happy trails man

    Ugh. That spring guide got me too. It didn’t break the bolt came out. The spring then got into the track window and cut right down the track. About 10 windows. Then I turned track backward and got it out. Tucked the spring inside of the rail and did another 200 miles to get home. I check that bolt often now

    Those damn spring supports! I heard stories of it happening and first notice it happening on my 2021 Skandic WT. I was paranoid so I replaced them every year.
    The 2020 Expedition LE that I upgraded to has a different part number for that spring support and I have noticed they do not wear as quickly as the old ones.

    What a trip! Never having snowmachined can anyone explain why the sleds are always flat on snow as opposed to being on skis to reduce drag....I am sure there is a logical answer "center of gravity" etc.. Just would have thought on skis ...easier to pull , less effort and as such less fuel used? Great trip!

    • @2BucksAlaska
      @2BucksAlaska ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Uhmw plastic is very easy to pull and less likely to have issues when crossing water etc. less pounds per square inch on the surface of the snow works really well.

    • @LostCaper
      @LostCaper ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s only 12 mpg. That’s not great. I though the 600 ace could get about 25 mpg.

    Are you guys all friends and do this every years? this is rare to find a group of guys willing to do this challenge. I am looking for an adventure like this for 2024 but its really hard to find experience group of guys that seem to get along and have a great adventure. Are you all open to more joining your adventure or are you mostly good friends keeping a low fun profile with just your friends?
    you guys really rock and it looks like a dream trip that i would love to join if its duplicated next year
