I'm glad that after so much abuse our prince has finally freed himself and divorced this thing called Stela.

I do hope the series acknowledges he shouldn’t have stuck around like that. Octavia is likely fully aware of how shit her mom is. Having someone like that living with you can result in trauma, so she didn’t really get a normal life. Stolas tried his best tho, he’s a good guy.

@@drefozz he should've, but no matter how shit a mum or a dad is it's better to have them there than not have them at all. A child will always need both in their life. I think stolas knew that seeing as his mum is no where to be seen and wanted the best for his daughter, despite how shit she is as a mother.
About the crystals:
The pages were translated by someone and they were crystals that had the ability to make a portal to the living world when attached to jewelry. It also says at the last part that the person should spend more time with friends and family instead of wasting it on runes.
They're from the Ring of Lust in hell. Someone thought Stolas wanted to give it to Blitzo as like a romantic gesture and that he could use it for his job at killing people too.
@@sierrarae7399 really? Personally I see it as stolas trying to end the arrangement for good and not in a romantic way either: In the song Stolas realizes Blitzo was only using him. This could be him trying to get over blitzo and let him go.

I propose another theory, what if he was searching about the crystals because of Verosika? Like Stollas was thinking that Blitzo only was with her because of easy access to the crystals, the same way he is with Stolas because of the book, I think Stolas is realizing how Blitzo only gets involved with those that can further his self interest

Why? There is no reason, Stella never cared about him. Turns out that Stolas did care about Stella and he wanted to make it work he even said that he feels bad for hurting her but they both know that wasn't the case. Stella doesn't love him, so what's the point? Even Stolas is starting to realize that Blitz was using him and he regrets it, maybe. I don't know it's kind of implied.
@@Nameless82284 Stella wants to feel superior. She wants him dead cuz she cheated on him and it made her look bad. She constantly did her best to shit talk him, knowing he wouldn’t say anything to defend himself, to make herself look superior. The divorce will make her look bad, so hurting him as much as possible on the way out to make herself look better is her goal. Her ego is fragile.
I do agree tho that’s it’s pointless, but egotistical ppl always like to make a big deal of things. In the end, Stolas also probably figured out that he was used and has accepted it. He still appreciates Blitzo tho, since he plans to supply him with crystals to continue his business.

The fact she is only embarrassed how it would make her look from the public that her husband slept with an imp than being upset with him cheating on her, says a lot of what her priorities are at.

No I don't think so for a reason: In this episode at the end Stolas is dressed like he was in the last ep of 1st season, and he woke up like he had an hangover or something, implying that he was probably sad because the previous evening he argued with Blitzo (during that night of last ep 1st season). Also because the title "Now" is showed up. So I suppose that the last scene between Stolas and his ex wife happens in the actual present, and it should be consider like a direct following episode of the 7th. I think that the 1st ep of 2nd season it should be considered a filler, because nobody seems to be affected by what's happened before. :)

It hurts now seeing why Stolas acts so sexual, he believed it was Blitzø’s love language- something kinky and well descriptive sexual remarks
So, the text that Stolas was reading at the end (if I remember correctly) when translated from runic text explains that Asmodeoan crystals (Azmodeus being prince of lust) are used by Succubi to access the mortal world.
I’ve heard the theory that Stolas was perhaps going to use the crystals to propose to Blitzo (like a diamond ring) and so he can have his own way to the mortal realm. Also I’ve heard that these crystals are the reason Blitzo dated Verosika (the succubus from ep3). Blitzo told Stolas that he killed people in this episode, yet he doesn’t have the Grimoire to access the living world, so it makes sense that he used his relationship with Verosika to get to her crystals (which would explain why she hates him so much). After being dumped by her he goes to Stolas for the only other way he can think of to access the mortal world to keep his business going.
Oooh both of those are good theories.
I actually thought he was looking at that page in the book becuase he was going to "break up" with Blitzo and basically give him a way to travel to with mortal world without needing his help so there's no reason for their ... *ahem* "transactions" anymore. I figured that at this point he's come to the conclusion that Blitzo doesn't care about him and is only using him for his grimoire, so he'd rather just give Blitzo a way to get to the mortal world on his own so he doesn't have to hurt so much knowing that the only person showing him affection doesn't actually love him.

The big thing is that horses don’t typically have amputations for this: they go straight to euthanasia. I’m not entirely clear why, I imagine it has to do with them being awfully topheavy to walk on 3 legs where a cat or dog has their weight more evenly distributed. Also animals that size don’t really handle falling over well.
I can see the pitch meeting for this show already.

I'm scared of the foreshadowing for Fizzaroli, in the present he has 4 robotic limbs, in the past he has normal arms and legs, and them playing with green balloon horse with no limbs and "lots of blood" I think we may see the accident that made Fizz a quadruple amputee.
Something that might also involve a drunken Barbie-Wire (Blitz's sister--who also cameos here as the imp on the high-wire), and fire. Perhaps a pirate-act that results in an explosion that burns much of Blitz (all the white splotches), severely injures Fizz to where he needs his limbs remove, and Barbie-WIre to be put into rehab.

This episode seems wholesome, outstanding, and stunning as the episode just starting for Stella to be more b out and Stolas get closure. With that said, good eye Dwayne to spot the book page as it seems to be a gem to grant “Succubus/Incubus” to turn into human and transport the to human surface without getting caught. It was a ability from Ozzie to transfer his power over to gems
18:18 didn’t realize this initially, but Blitzo snaps Stolas’ neck back here, which we can see due to his shoulder-blades. But of course, Stolas is a demon that resembles an owl in this show, so he has the characteristics of one too, like being able to turn his head around at least 180 degrees

@@pokaay3163 Yes! It was hilarious and, kinda sad. Stolas really has no idea how to flirt which makes sense because he's never had any opportunity to do so. And, since he was mostly teasing, he had no idea what to do when Blitz laid on the charm THICK. And, I think it shows how starved for passion and affection Stolas was that one bite made him absolutely melt and want anything and everything Blitz could give him. 😢

Agreed. I don't think Stolas is completely gay, if we're being fair he may be bi with a heavier lean for guys, although him swinging the other way is not really a problem imo. The point is that Stolas had his childhood and freedom of choice taken away from him, not letting him see and learn for himself what it is he wants in life and who he wants to share it with.
Thankfully, he doesn't have any regrets when it comes to Octavia, but it's heartbreaking to see him so mournful of the fact that the only person he's ever had any semblance of a loving relationship (besides Tavi) is with someone whom he now fully realizes has been using him and vice versa feels used for each other's own benefit. I really wish the best for Stolas, cuz the cards he's been dealt were against him from the very beginning and he didn't deserve it at all

The book Stolas tossed on the bed showed a spell to make teleportation crystals. Stolas COULD have just made Blitz a crystal amulet but that would mean he wouldn't be able to force an "arrangement" in exchange for the use of the Grimoire. After the last Episode where he realizes Blitz is just in it for access to the human world, he's thinking that maybe he just needs to give Blitz the crystal as a way to show he's not going to FORCE a relationship so MAYBE Blitz will realize that Stolas LOVES him and is not just using him for sex.
I see it as his way to end the relationship for good, instead of just sending a message, since if he believes blitzo was just in it for the book he’d expect him to run off with the crystal instead and not come back.
@@pokaay3163 I agree it is a test in a way, but it is also Stolas's way to express the purity of his side of the relationship. Technically, Blitz may have been raised to be a self serving asshole by his father, but he does crave love and intimacy. Blitz's fear of rejection makes him put up a wall. It is sad that neither Blitz nor Stolas can open up and express themselves truthfully.

The reason why Paimon couldn't get Stolas' name was because Paimon is a demon that takes many forms and many different children in those forms
His shape shifting could be a case of “form you are familiar with”.
Paimon is typically portrayed as a female (but not always, iirc) and has 70 sons, so Viv did her research. No wonder Paimon forgot Stolas’ name.
So wait does that mean Paimon is a hermaphrodite?

Also I like how even though Stolas's father seems like a "I could care less" individual and the fact he didn't recognize Stolas at first, it seems like he genuinely cares for his son. The best example of this is when he notices his son enjoy the joke that Blitzo made and raises his eyebrow, obviously taking note of what his son said. Also another example is when he rents out Blitzo to spend time with Stolas and he even mentions that his son has no friends and it appears he's saddened by this fact.
Also when we first found out Stolas had cheated on his wife I was initially against his character, but this episode made me realize that Stolas wasn't exactly in the wrong (I can't believe I'm siding with the individual who cheated). First off, when Stolas sees the picture of his future wife, I don't blame him at all for reacting that way! She looks psychotic! (That picture also tells me that Stella was the type of individual that grew up getting whatever she wanted when she wanted, and my other explanations also further explain this theory as well). Secondly, when she's bad-mouthing him to her "friends" behind his back, it makes me wonder if she has been cheating on him. Thirdly, when she attempts to slap him and he stops her, she looked rather shocked that he did so suggesting she has been rather abusive in their marriage. Finally, Stolas himself notes that he wanted to make things work to her but she seems like she could care less about that when he states that.
On a final note when Stella found out Stolas had cheated on her with Blitzo, I think she was mad because it would damage her image. To explain, her friends were in fact present and the fact that Stolas (a prince of hell) cheated on her (a type of noble) with Blitzo (a commoner) would make it appear that a noble such as herself wasn't good enough but a commoner was. Her friends also appear to be the "gossip type" that would spread the news.

He was pissed and fed up, and we know he's way stronger than we've yet to see so far. A real good characterization moment for him. Good development by Viv and the team.

@@Shyress i think anyone who has the crystals can use them but they are intended to be used by succubus and incubus (similar to Stolas’ book, its for him but Blitz uses it). I’ve seen other comments say this is why Blitz was dating Verosika (a succubus) so that he could use her crystals to kill in the living world. It explains why she hates him. I have a feeing that he also fucked up with Fizzie too, since we saw Fizz doesnt really like blood but Blitz was very into it….
When Blitz bites Stolas, he is essentially giving him a mating bite. This is something a lot of animals do to hold their partner in place during the act. Makes sense that animalistic beings would do something similar. Or he could just be being kinky.
Stella is still plotting Stolas's assassination. Striker definitely still has the angelic revolver from episode 5.

one theory is that Alastor is somewhat based off the serial killer, Axeman of New Orleans. They were never caught and a name was never found out. The murders took place in New Orleans, Louisiana and they sent a letter to the newspaper, stating that on a specific night, no one would be targeted, as long as they were listening to Jazz music in their homes.
Highly suggest looking up The Axeman of New Orleans and reading the full published letter that was sent to the newspaper.
@@hathus5536 i think this theory is halfway true, ive heard of it before but the reason that i don’t believe it fully is because theres a few problems and holes in it, the axeman had a victim which was a child, and it’s confirmed that alastor wouldnt harm children. I like to think maybe alastor was a copycat killer that was inspired by the axeman, or maybe his father was the axeman of New Orleans who knows lol (i personally dont think vivziepop would make real life events and killers canon in the hazbin universe though)

While not proven, it's believed the Axeman died in 1920 or very soon after since the last murder was around 1920 and we know Alastor died in 1933

Stolas and Blitzo appear to pick up some things from their fathers. Stolas's father cares about Stolas and Stolas cares about his daughter Octavia. When Stolas and his father are at the circus, Stolas's father clapping is very similar to Stolas's in the Loo Loo land episode. Blitzo appears to have picked up his Father's manipulation as he uses the same tactics on his employees and Stolas.

When Buckz-O (Blitz-O's father) was explaining the "job" details, you can see Blitz-O's family portrait in the background. Buckz-O, Tilla, Blitz-O and Barbie Wire.
And some people say Barbie Wire was on the tight rope during the performance but the horns didn't match up. Male Imp horns have thick white stripes while female Imp horns have very thin white stripes. The rope walker had male imp horns.

Stolas's name is on that pill bottle, so I assume they're prescription anti-depressants. Sadly, while medication helps my own, his is clearly situational, so there's only so much they can do for him :(
Sorry, I see a lot of people comment "Don't do drugs" and I know a lot of people are anti-medication of any kind so I just wanted to point out to anyone who sees this that taking prescribed pills is okay and they can absolutely help depending on circumstance

What does this tell us?
Surprisingly Stolas was not initially a kinky deviant. He was an attention starved man, desperate for some connection and upon misreading Blitz's desires tailored himself to what he felt Blitz wanted. Ironically Stolas just wanted to be wanted.
It also tells us Stella is waaaaay too comfortable hitting Stolas.
The pills I think are antidepressant pills, so it’s a bit unfortunate wording to say not to take those pills because some people need those pills to help correct the chemical in balance in their brain

I just want to say, Stolas looked 5-7 years old, making him likely between 30 and 35 in the current series. Octavia is 17, which means she would have been born when Stolas was, at most, 18, and he didn't seem 10 in that opening.

I held off watching this on my own so I could catch it with you two. That episode was intriguing, fun, and tragic, something Vivzie and company are really well experienced with in their storytelling.

Love y’all but just a note that I don’t think it’s a good idea to say it’s bad to do pills. It’s not a good idea to do pills that weren’t prescribed to you, but many people need prescription antidepressants to survive.
I think they said it cause they are in hell. So I dont think everyone there has pills that are described. Or that they need.
