@@Goikuchan I have seen a lot of people excusing Blitz, I am om the team they both fucked up but Blitz actuallly has done shitty things om purpose, and he thinks they dotn hurt people
I like that Verosika hosted these parties not to shame any of Blitzø's exes, but to reassure them that they're not alone in what they're going through. She was so nice to Stolas the entire night. Also was sweet how actually she trying to help Blitzø see the he absolutely belongs at the "I Hate Blitzø" party.
On the other hand, it's a bit pathetic, that people still hang up on Blitz, who probably was with them for a short time, Dennis wasn't even on a one-night stand with him, just they fooled around for like an hour or less... Also, cartoon logic people gather together to hate on Blitzo and no one recognizes him, even when he is uncovered and shouts at the crowd... (granted most of them are probably too drunk or high to function...)
It a high profile party in the human world a pop star is hosting it might of started as a bit of hate but I'm guessing a few people are just their to hook up and party, lol .@@sqxbarto9229
@@sqxbarto9229 Not really, we've see what Blitz does, he doesn't just act uninterested like normal people would, he will literally make fun of you and say the most toxic shit.
@@sqxbarto9229 I'm getting the feeling that plenty of them do recognize him but have figured that interacting with him would not be worth it. Which honestly would be healthy on their part.
Also: At 27:46 Blitz wanted to comfort Stolas by touching him, but then in the background of the song came the line "Don't touch that pretty thing" Most likely intentional, but it makes the scene even more emotional
It was honestly the right call for Blitzø to make, too. People often get this wrong, but _physical reassurance doesn't always help_ -- if someone isn't in the right headspace for it, having someone touch them without consent (even something as simple as a pat on the back) can make things _worse,_ and Stolas was _definitely_ in that space. He didn't _want_ Blitzø to console him, he just wanted him to _leave,_ to respect his need for space that he laid down that morning -- on some level, I think Blitzø realized that, and waited quietly while Stolas composed himself again.
The fact that the first person Blitzø apologized to was the first hit in episode 1 "Murder Family", but she's with the woman who ordered the hit lol. That one bit with Mayberry and Martha is one of the greatest plot twists ever.
The thing that gets me the most is how many people are GENUINELY heartbroken about blitz at the party. Yeah you see a good amount of "we had a one night stand the bitch" but you also see a whole lot of people who look at so much of a picture of blitz and start to break down. The throwing knife guy, the girl sitting on the stairs, crying and drinking. Verosika herself. Blitz could very well be the best partner you could ever ask for if he didn't hate himself and ditch everyone.
Blitzø finally sees what his self destructive tendencies and behavior has done and realizes people DID love him but he shut them out before it got serious. Verosika definitely cares about Blitz and hopes he can change. Also, Stolas singing a rock ballad is something that wasn't on my apology tour bingo, but I love it!
if the writing was done properly his growth wouldn't have stopped cause i swear i though her had noticed when he cried himself to sleep on the couch episodes ago. but yeah not everyone can write good relationships.
@@LostGeburahthats the problem with blitz Him crying there was just him hating himself Wich is the biggest reason of why he hurts everyone around him He keeps saying he will die alone and he fucks up while not understanding that it isn't true and all he needs to do is to actually change Stop making it about.him basically
@@LostGeburah also, it's not like this is the end of the series, there is obviously a lot of growth and issues they still need to work through, which can still be done, this seems to be just the start of them realizing all the issues, and starting to repair those problems. both of them have trauma that they need to work through first.
Yeah she could’ve kicked him out or let everyone shit on him but no it’s like stolas says you need people that care about you to do something as stupid as throw a party all about hating you
@@hadrianhexe9603 I don't know, you can see her motions switch the instant he stops making quippy combacks. I think there is still something there and it wouldn't surprise me if they give it another shot before blitz/stolas get back together if they want to stretch it out
Counterpoint, the last time Stolas interacted with him, Blitzø was taken as a body guard to Loo Loo Land, and he was entirely unnecessary because no one there could hurt Stolas. At the Harvest Moon festival, he wasn't there as a bodyguard, EXPLICITLY by Stolas' word. He was just there for fun with his coworkers.

Alright, here we go again: - The first scene was a roller coaster in itself, as much a mix of steps forward and back as everything else in this episode. Both Blitzø and Stolas did _so_ much better at communicating with one another, and at correcting their own failings in the process -- Stolas was able to express his feelings clearly and stand up for his own boundaries, and even though it took a lot of pushing, Blitzø _actually _*_admitted_*_ to his self-loathing_ and copped to the fact that he's no good at talking things out... but then they both kept falling back into their self-defensive bad habits, Blitzø pushing when he should've backed off and Stolas backing off when he should've pushed, and things boomeranged _right_ back to where they started. It's true what they say: hurt people hurt people. - The reveal of Martha and Miss Mayberry was thoroughly unexpected, but a welcome surprise. It might be risky to make paying a visit to IMP's targets a regular fixture of the after-mission routine, but hey, it could be a nice touch if they try it. - Blitzø's repeated attempts to try to find the words to express how sorry he was to Stolas illustrate as clearly as anything how much Blitzø actually _does_ regret what he said and did. It's been discussed before that he's self-taught when it comes to writing, so drafting up apology texts is likely a challenge for him -- but he doesn't go through that kind of hassle for people who aren't worth it to him, and he clearly felt like he needed to do _more_ than just _write_ an apology. Blitzø's going to more trouble to make amends with Stolas than he's done for just about anyone else. - As much as Stolas _really_ doesn't want to be around Blitzø for the time being (and understandably so, honestly), it's pretty clear from his visible discomfort at the overt animosity aimed at Blitzø at the party that _he doesn't _*_hate_*_ Blitzø._ He's _hurt,_ and he wants _space_ and the time to _heal,_ but it's not hard to see that he's still willing to let Blitzø _earn_ another chance. - The costumes and decor at the party are chock-full of jokes and references. I have to give points for the Alex Brightman-inspired Beetlejuice costume, that was an excellent touch. - Blitzø has probably _never_ had as clear a demonstration of how badly he's broken someone's heart as he got by being in the audience for Stolas's song. Stolas was absolutely speaking from the heart, broken as it is, sharing his feelings in a way that he's likely never been able to before -- keeping his eyes closed to keep his anxiety at bay, he was able to help Blitzø see clearly what he really meant to Stolas... and just how _severely_ his actions have messed up Stolas's headspace in a cycle of 'what-ifs' and self-blame. For the first time, Blitzø realized how much he'd fucked up, and it _hurt him._ - The liquor-soaked talk between Blitzø and Stolas was *_exactly_* the talk they _needed_ to have the other night, and while it _sucks_ that it's literally a day late and a dollar short, the fact that it was said is a *_major_* first step in both of their journeys to healing. And honestly, Blitzø made some _really good choices:_ he allowed Stolas space, let him take the high ground in the conversation, let him speak without interruption, recognized that Stolas was likely _not_ in the right space for physical contact when he was breaking down (which is *_HUGE,_* and something _so_ many people get wrong!), and when there wasn't anything left to say in the moment, _he let Stolas go._ He's _genuinely improved,_ even if he doesn't _realize_ it yet. - Blitzø's talk with Verosika was the best way to cap off this episode. The party being a form of group therapy, Blitzø's admission that he _realizes_ he's screwed up, is _genuinely_ sorry for it and _wants_ to be better, Verosika giving him unironically good relationship advice despite everything he's put her through before heading off to start a song about how, even if she's not over what happened between them, she's gotten over _him..._ as bittersweet as the ending was, it's a perfect denouement.
Had the bulk of these notes written out while I watched the original episode, and compiled and transcribed them while listening to Airier's reactions. Given how much the comments sections on Viv's videos get _buried_ in toxic bot accounts for the first week or so after every new episode drops, it's generally a better idea to spread the discussion around so that people don't have to scroll past noxious garbage to talk about their thoughts.
There’s also the clear jealously blitzo had seeing stolas make out with someone else, bringing up the hidden feelings blitzo truely has for stolas but kept lying to himself that he doesn’t have a thing for him, it’s just this it’s just that. Well guess what, it’s not, you have actual feelings for Stolas.
@sto1asgoetia600 Precisely. He's instinctively protective of his relationship with Stolas, but until now, he's always been able to explain it away as just trying to protect his meal ticket -- but ever since the last full moon, that's no longer a factor, so he's going to have to think about why he's still so driven to stay with Stolas.
Flawless breakdown of the episode, no notes. XD Well, no disagreements, anyway. I love how BOTH the conversations they had were already showing improvement over what happened the night before. Even though the first one was *heavy* on the sarcasm and sass, they both managed to say things that needed to be said. I honestly REALLY hope we return to the plot point of "you knew the assassin who almost killed me was *trying* to kill me, and you didn't *tell* me OR come to *help* me?" Because OH BOY that was a solid hit that even Blitz realized he fucked up on. And the party!!! You're exactly right that Stolas is *really* uncomfortable at the animosity and hate he sees, because he could never. He's hurt, he's heartbroken and...I'm so glad he went to the party because it was actually one of the best things he could have done, healing-wise. And I really hope Blitz noticed that *nobody* there, despite it being mostly imps, treated Stolas with reverence, deference, or even particularly took notice of him *despite* the VERY OBVIOUS Goetia in their midst. Nor did Stolas seem to expect it from them. The one who is hung up on class is *Blitz*. The ones who did react to Stolas reacted to him as being a fellow victim of heartbreak, or to his *singing* (valid. GDI Bryce is there any genre you can't sing?), or because they are interested in him. Which is why I am so very proud of Blitz for letting Stolas go to dance with that incubus/imp. He sees Stolas look to him for permission; he knows that if he had said no, he likely could have kept Stolas by his side. However... Stolas had *just* talked about wanting someone to want to be with him just to be with him. Wanting a romantic gesture...such as being asked to dance after being told he has a beautiful voice. And Blitz chose to let him have that. That's *huge*. And I'm not actually worried that Stolas won't remember their conversation in the morning... he remembered the events of Ozzie's clearly, and from his state the next morning and the absinthe bottles scattered around, he was likely much more than the wine-drunk he was in this convo. At least, I really hope they won't pull that card; I feel like we're beyond that. Verosika is a Queen as always. Honestly, best end to the episode there could have been, if we weren't going to get a resolution yet. Because she wasn't going to hold back with him, but we already know he *knows* he fucked up with her. He was in the *perfect* emotional place for her to get through to him. And she was the perfect one to tell him that if he wants to change, he can't keep expecting Stolas to be his when he wants, but then hurt him other times. The cake being the literal embodiment of "eat your heart out" is just... oof. This episode hasn't destroyed my hopes for these two... although I do wonder where it goes from *here*.
28:53 I know, I should’ve hated this moment, but that incubus was a sweetheart and Stolas’ “Okay!” Was adorable.(Also I just realized the incubus was wearing a “Better than Blitzø” tshirt)
What Verosika said in ep 7 makes so such more sense now, it was a bedroom metaphor because they were at Ozzies but Blitzø really did no reciprocating for her feelings
That’s fucked up, the carnival guy near the end of the episode was selling T-shirts saying I hate Blitzo but spelling “I H8 Blitzo” H8 being the drug his sister took making her such an addict that she need to go to rehab for it.
@@Airier Also darker Thing I just realized. When Stolas said "You knew he was trying to assassinate me" that is so much darker because Striker himself admitted that Stolas wife sent him. But the first time was before he even asked for a divorce. So on top of all Of THIS train wreck going down, he has to live with that his wife tried to have him killed while they were still married and just because she couldn't live with that he spent one night with an Imp in a party made so SHE could talk nothing but shit about him. This show has so many layers of writing is such absolute genius
@@Kaarl_Mills True but to still have to realize that his wife put out a hit on him just for that. She complained on not having a divorce and when she got it and lost her husband whom "she Liked so much" then immediatly puts out a hit for him. That's still really dark
And once again we have still not heard Blitz's "I DESTROY EVERYTHING I MAKE EVERYONE'S LIVES WORSE" or Octavia's "You never loved mother and you don't love me, you love him." from the S2 trailer. Blitz and Stolas may or may not have hit the rock bottom of their relationship, but they still haven't hit their own individual rock bottoms. We still have more heartbreaking shit to wade through.
Funny thing is, while Blitz not telling Stolas about the first assassination attempt was f'd up, Stolas was literally sitting across from the person who ordered it, telling Striker to try again, and didn't notice.
I will say I think Stolas just mentally checked out. So she could be doing whatever she wanted and he wouldn't have noticed. When you are being abused all the time, you just live on autoplay
Yeah but if you recall that scene came after the attempt. He probably just assumed it was a recent hit put out just then. Also probably combined with @DragSmash-Games reply of could have checked out. He probably blocked out the first part implying it already happened and is getting a contract set to make it happen. Or, maybe he connected it with the tons of imps who tried to kill him in Loo Loo Land. Who could say for sure and also agreed he should have told Stolas after the attempt to at least get him aware of the danger. Cause if Stolas died his meal ticket would be gone and that excuse wouldn't work. Since his deal was with Stolas and I doubt Octavia would let him use it and she would need it back for her duties as a Goetia.
He was tuning Stella out and pretty immersed in a smutty novel titled 'imps in the sheets. Stolas wasn't paying attention because his mind was completely elsewhere.
Don't forget, that Looloo land was nothing but Blitz swatting flies off Stolas- except they were other imps, just like Blitz. He's also kind of... dense? There's a good chance he doesn't even KNOW about angelic guns and such. So, as far as he's concerned, he and his entire race are GNATS to Stolas. Would you warn a horse there are flies buzzing around its' tail? No. You'd let it swat them and go about its day without a second thought.
@@magne7771 I doubt he didn't know about angelic weapons with the whole extermination every year. Especially if Lucifer did ok the whole thing to get immunity for his family. I don't remember if that goes for all the royalty of hell. Regardless if they have immunity or not with that deal the princes and especially the goetias would know if the big honcho of hell is afraid of losing his family to the angels cause of their angelic weapons they should all know and worry about said weapons. Since they would know it can actually cause damage. I mean stolas when grabbed by Striker he mentioned it was blessed and he couldn't do anything so he had knowledge. I think more likely he assumed imps couldn't ever get enough money to afford one. Since they are rare and probably expensive in hell. If I remember mostly royals have them or overlords not many imps do if any. So you are right about swatting them like flies without a care cause he wouldn't suspect a random imp from wrath would be able to get ahold of one. Only realizing the dangers and seriousness of it when he was captured by striker and been tortured. Edit: My bad thought you meant Stolas didn't know. I misread that my bad sorry. But Blitzø should also have known about angelic weapons being able to kill demons since it is a big event in hell. Unless he assumes the exterminators don't go after the royals just because it is only sinners they want.
This episode had so much to talk about, but I'm also just a sucker for demon behaviour and body language. Shows that have characters with animalistic traits so often don't actually _utilize_ these traits and helluva boss does and I'm so happy. What brough this on? Well, Blitzø's tail violently lashing behind him, a clear indication of his anger (7:48 shows it very prominently, but the entire interaction it barely stood still). That is one I almost never see, because tails often get treated as an accessory that sometimes moves, rather than another limb (which is how imps clearly use them. Grabbing stuff, showing emotion in various ways, holding onto things, fight with them, wind them around themselves for protection. And at this point it has become probably obvious i think way too much about this). Also Stolas' head turning a full 180° like an actual owl, like you mentioned (or things like his feathers fluffing at 2:24 . And of course the various bird noises). And it's built in so naturally! There isnt really any attention drawn to it as unusual, because it's normal for Stolas. (Also I'm pretty sure 5:46 was a small growl from Blitzø, which just quickly dies out the moment Stolas turns to him-) I don't think I'm making sense here. I'm still reeling from the episode. Sorry for screaming incoherently in the comments rn, I just have too many thoughts and not enough sleep. Edit: my timestamps all got massively messed up? By exactly 1min and 24sec. Idk what happened
6:01 To be fair... Stolas must've gotten _very_ good at tuning out Stella to have missed her screaming at Striker through the phone while staring directly at him
Stolas' curses are only censored when they're in a sexual context, or something they actually can't say on YT, like, as the subtitles put it "C U Next Tuesday"
Yeah the closest thing to being happy is seeing other people happy and just watching from the sidelines just reading the room and knowing you aren’t wanted or needed at the moment and not everything said needs to have a comeback to get the last say in things it’s best to shut up and hear them out and respect what they are trying to say
i think something to notice is how verosika, to me, understood that blitz belonged to that party, as he's hating himself too, and that his apology was sincere
The backpedaling is a tactic. He wants to show that he's strong, not "weak", so he backpedals his apology, despite being 100 percent authentic in that moment.
13:18 The pumpkin Blitzø ran over when he arrived in the human world looks like Jangle from Vivziepop’s ‘Holidaze’ short from 4 years ago (it’s still on TH-cam) - I’m pretty sure he just killed Jangle 😂😭
This Pride Month just continues being a heart-wrencher, doesn't it? Also, that thing you said at the end, about how it's not "good or bad people, it's just broken people doing broken things because they can't understand not being broken": Verosika's annual "Blitzo's exes anonymous" parties is, in itself, a great example of this. She's trying to help broken people get over the hurt that another broken person subjected them all to but, as she is a broken person herself, the method she's going with also ends up being broken, feeding into the catharsis of anger and hatred, tearing up old wounds rather than letting them heal. So while Blitz walks around and constantly reminds himself (as in, _literally_ surrounds himself with physical reminders) that he's not worthy of being loved, Verosika walks around and constantly reminds herself (you noted the tattoo) how much he hurt her the moment she admitted to him that she actually considered him worth loving... I'm looking forward to seeing how their story arc will evolve...
It's also a slice of a cake that's shaped like Blitzø. So Verosika also gave him back his own heart, the one part of him he's avoided giving to anyone else -- and, since it's cake, it's a visual pun of "eat your heart out".
Honestly, the two of them are too damaged for each other as is. They need to be apart, work through their own traumas and demons. If stolitz is to ever work, they really need to both grow a bit before even attempting to reconvene, cause both were in the wrong with how they handled their whole interaction. But that's the thing, sometimes it just won't work, and you got to learn to wish the other the best, its all one can do.
It feels like Verosika saw something in that talk with blitz that she needed to see for a long damned time. She's still hurt. The bridge is still burnt, butmaybe.... they can reach an understanding where she can help him be a better person. Also Blitz and Stolas actually TALKING.... They're taking a break/broken up, but they're.... they put the cards on the table. Hopefully they can remain cordule while they figure themselves out.
One thing I noticed is that Stolas said he wants to know the feeling of not being alone, and to feel loved. But nothing about Blitzø, not his personality or any of his qualities, he doesn't state that he wants to be loved BY HIM, or to not be alone WITH HIM. In his statement, he doesn't want Blitzø, he wants a relationship. And if anyone person were to give that to him.. then he might just go for the first person who does.
I like how around 10 seconds after him saying "I can almost hear Nirvana singing this" Verosika and Vortex go "at all, at all, at all" in a very similar way to the "hello hello hello" part of Smells Like Teen Spirit (18:54)
Just because he can't accept that people could love him, doesn't mean that people didn't. He has an excuse, but it's no excuse to hurt others and he's going to have to do a lot more than just say I'm sorry...I mean it's a start....but it's only the first step.
Yup. I agree completely. And even if it's too late for him and Stolas (although I'm not betting on that), it's probably the most important step to take (because otherwise he'll just keep doing the same thing over again).
@Airier This definitely feels like _some_ kind of ending, but sometimes endings lead to beginnings. Ending their original relationship frees them both to start a _new_ relationship from scratch, if they both decide that's what they want to do -- but for now, sad as it is, them taking a break from each other, maybe seeing other people and focusing on other things... it's honestly the healthiest thing for them to do.
@@Nitrinoxusit’s sad that a lot of people blitz sees are hookups and will just add to the guest list of the next I hate blitz party he needs to learn that sex isn’t a good coping mechanism and he should be taking a break from seeing people and focus on himself and the people he hurt
@@GlitchyHalo Complicating matters, besides the _obvious,_ is that Blitzø's work-life balance is, to use the _technical_ term, *_fucked._* When he's not keeping busy with his job, he seems to spend most of his time either getting hammered, shacking up with another one-night stand, or curled up in bed on the sofa -- now that we've gotten a good look at the long line of people he's dumped, it's unsettling to realize just how _small_ his social circle actually _is._ Barring the people who _have_ to be around him for work or because they share an apartment with him, Blitzø only really has _two_ people he hangs out with regularly, and _one_ of them wants to take a break from being around him for the foreseeable. I'm hoping one of the _Helluva Shorts_ has Blitzø meeting up with Fizz, because right now, he's the only friend Blitzø _has._
@@Nitrinoxus Yeah, people were saying that Stolas doesn't have nearly as many people to confide with that Blitzø has, but to be honest NEITHER really has a social circle in place to support them. Both of them really need to grow and branch out, or else even if they did get together it'd get codependent very fast. Here's hoping Blitzø redefines his friendship with Millie as more than a just a workplace one in Ghostfuckers, and hoping that Stolas finds a close friend in Vassago in either Mastermind or Sinsmas.
Good for Stolas honestly, I'm really glad he's finally able to let himself relax and have fun at a party. It's really cute that he got a dance with someone who showed him proper respect and helped him feel better 💙
My prediction and fear is that the guy who dances with Stolas will try to kidnap him for some reason. and maybe Blitz, who is still sitting in the car after the party, will realize that the guy wasn't his ex and will try to save Stolas.
Viv hinted that stolas will find someone that will give him those feelings he has craved for years before reconciling with blitz by liking a comment of someone saying it we all thought it was the parrot guy but seeing as he is working with Andrelphus probably not him but the incubus instead
Not every love story has a happy ending. In fact, most relationships in real life DON'T have a happy ending either, and that's what shows get wrong. Romance in shows and movies are always so predictable because "love always wins." This is what Helluva Boss doesn't do, which is why you get so invested in the story. It's not so easily predictable
I hope that the guy who asked Stolace to dance is named Alejandro as we saw Dennis again. I’ll bet that Dennis was there cause of what happened at Queen B’s party.
That song was full of angst. I loved it. I bet Stolas' daughter would dig it, too. As he was singing it, I found myself seeing Octavia in him. Poor guy. I want him to be happy, too. So much to love in this episode.
… This new screen setup really makes it feel like we’re watchin’ this sappy show with our favorite geek boi cry laughing while shoving handfuls of dry breakfast cereal into mah gab like some kinda godless creature. >)X^D
I actually found this episode more painful than the last...I mean, the last one was expected, both Stolas and Blitzø acted as we knew/feared. This one had Blitzø actually trying heroically to fix things (in this totally inept and self-destructive way), only to have a drunk Stolas throw himself at the first guy that glanced his way. It was painfully realistic...and not the outcome I was rooting for. I'm hoping it's just setting up for future developments, rather than going the (again, realistic) route of "you fucked up, there is no second chances." Because we get enough of that shit from real life...
this episode hurt, like ACTUALLY hurt 😭 especially the kiss between stolas and that other imp, and blitzo watching him being so happy with another person. that feeling of seeing this person you love be happy with another person, someone who isn’t you, is so freaking horrible and painful. even worse when you know it’s all your fault.
@@PatriciaRodrigues-bt6wznot really a bad thing. They arent a good match for each other. A transactional relationship is the only thing that CAN WORK.
They are set up to get together and a clip from the trailer and a few words from a panel that took place a while ago give me confidence that they won’t be apart for long.
Things I read from other comments under other vids: 1. Verosika knowing Blitz ttly blongs to the "I Hate Blitzo" party and 2. when these two talk Blits is sitting behind bars while she kicks out a peg and sits in the window she made implying that she is free while he is in jail of his own making
Oh god why is it hurting at this point. Is the most accurate description of season 2 in helluva boss that I have heard in my life. This show breaks my heart, gives promises of fixing it and then smash me in the faces like a bastard saying “you actually believe that shit”. Also the fact that Stolas is drunk but can still explain his and blitz’s situation like a professional without causing a ruckus or a scene. Well that says some seriously deep shit
I think Blitz and Stolas will end up together, i think what the show is setting up is them both becoming good enough for each other by allowing Stolas to become a fully realized person since he's very much so like a kid in love, and it's making Blitzo realize that he does like Stolas and that if he wants to be with him, he needs to love himself so he doesn't lash out and hurt Stolas again.
I love it soo much they didn't resolve their breakup over the cause of 1 episode, makes it SO much better. Urgh, I love the writing of this show edit and who's with me that they have to release the soundtrack for this episode? Not only is Stolas' song the objectively BEST song in the entire show so far and a certified banger but the 2 Verosika songs are banging as well🩷 maaaan I need these
The imagery with the cake was perfect. Verosika telling blitz in a subtle way to "Eat your heart out" I noticed that the first time seeing the episode.
15:57 this moment is also a bit funny because while this was dropped on the 22nd the 23rd here is a day where people in my country burn a witch on a fire basically like this and it’s even funnier when you consider that we use dolls nowadays because the blitzo being burned is also a doll
2:27 Painful isn't it? Get used to that this episode. 4:16 Too many 5:00 Again, too many 8:52 No he's not. He dated Verosika remember? Though it's possible not everyone in the party is his ex and some are just guests 16:37 Poor Denis 16:56 Such shameless self promotion...I'l allow it!(Yes that's the real Blitzo plush) 18:02 Someone PLEASE give this bird an emmy for this performance! I don't know where Stoliz is going, especially now that Blitzo is feeling what it's like to be, well, everyone he fucked over, but I hope it goes to a good place in the end.
First time striker was mentioned and that Cowboy snake demon is still on the loose somewhere in hell and Moxxie’s father Crimson as well he’s running loose too and I wonder if ever see Barbie wire again
I don't think he backpetalled in the beginning when he actually finally said what is actually going on because he hates himself, I think he backpetalled to protect himself. Because I think every time he tries to be venerable, he gets hurt. You can sort of see it with his father and he probably grew up seeing it. His anger is his way of protecting himself even if it hurts everyone else around him. He does hate himself, but I also think he is scared to let anyone close to see his true self. Cause what we just saw at the end was that he opens himself up and gets hurt.
0:47 For future reference, radio silence is not, in fact, an indicator of anything. It just leaves you trying to guess what they'd be indicating if they were, in fact, indicating anything.
While I will fully agree that Blitzø is in the wrong for a lot of the strain between him and Stolas... Stolas still needs to take a step back and recognize that even though he doesn't look down on Blitzø, a lot of his remarks in the past sure as hell make it _look_ like he does (his teasing and flirting in "LooLoo Land", calling him "my impish little plaything" in "Truth Seekers", most of his dialogue concerning Blitzø in "The Harvest Moon Festival", pretty much every discussion they had involving their deal back in Season 1...).
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who got 90s vibes from that song. I keep seeing people compare it to todays music but this is a mid to late 90’a alt rock ballad
There is a theory that Blitz's mother was a succubus or half succubus, which is why he is so attractive to many because he is a hybrid himself. it’s even kind of fleeting in the series with the striker. That’s why Verosika couldn’t resist him. but the only discrepancy is the stolas. Yes, he kissed the demon of lust at a party. but he was drunk. and I don't think the succubi's charm could work on the demon prince.
but I think this theory may be true. succubi are tall and blitz is taller than many of his relatives, he attracts many (me too😅). and his mother in the photo seemed very tall, and her horns also looked like the horns of demons of lust. so why not. This suits blitz.
and yes this is a misunderstanding between them. but it is in this episode that it is clearly visible that the blitz takes care of stolas, not love, but a hundred or so.
@@akaneshio6406 Oh yes, I tend to watch each episode a couple times that way, too 😄 I still don't know who the old guy is, tho. Some reactors simply accept that he's there, and given the show's ... nature I don't blame them 😅
Yes I do think Stolas will freak out if anything does happen between him and the hunky imp. That face Blitz make when he sees Stolas smiling and happy and it wasn't because of him. I really hope Blitz doesn't give up. Because the conversation they had was cut short by hunky imp.
14:36 thats why Osmodius is a prince. He at least says, "in a bad way" at the end of lines like this one 25:36 Viv's haters situation 28:31 probalby most of the angels they ever seen or heard about are extermination ones so... yea... good thing for halloween for sure.
Well the last guy who he actually like ended up with a box of fireworks blowing up in his face becoming a quadriplegic was led to believe that he didn't want to see him again destroyed his family business and his mother died all because of him I can see why he thinks he's doing them a favor but what's the chance of that happening twice
Honestly, I've thought since Ozzies, since S2 E1, that Stolitz might not be the endgame ship for the two of them. Blitz needs to work on himself, a lot. And Stolas needs someone who is a clean slate, so to speak. Between Stella and Blitz, every relationship he's had is transactional, the other person getting something from him, or needing something from him, or just straight up abusing him. Stolas needs someone who is, for lack of a better word, less serious, less emotions involved. But not necessarily opposed to the romance. Stolas needs a relationship that can teach him how to unwind his self-destructive tendencies, because the tendencies he have have nothing to do with Stolas personally (he's able to be honest with himself and his emotions, able to sit in them and think and explore and confront), but rather how he interacts with others. Knowing when is the right time to push and when is right to back off, when is right to give space and when is right to give comfort. He needs to improve in communicating with others, with letting others have the time they need to process and communicate in return, and that can only happen in interacting. But Stolas doesn't have friends, and he doesn't talk to family, and he is pretty much alone in his manor. Like, hell, even Blitz has more consistent and constant communication with people, and Blitz avoids the shit out of talking. The "Blitz Sucks" party might actually give Stolas friends and people who are like him, to consistently train up the ability to communicate with people. Especially because prior to this, any friends Stolas had were the Royals and the Elites. And High Society is all double-speak and hidden knives under sweet facades. Stolas needs to learn communication, healthy communication. And Blitz needs to get his head out of his head and learn to not doubt and catastrophize and run when the feelings get big.
Also, I do like that Helluva Boss is challenging the idea that everyone in hell is shitty, via the use of the native born demons. The sinners might be shitty, having come to hell from earth (though Hazbin Hotel was pointing out that that might be more complicated), but the native born demons are raised there, and as we see all over the place, through Fizz + Ozzie, through Millie's family, that hell doesn't have to be shitty and hellish. That healthy and happy are just as likely as abusive and disastrous. Hell =/= Shitty, and Blitz is using Hell as an excuse to avoid having to change.
Someone in the comments on the episode pointed out that in that moment when Blitz wanted to comfort Stolas the songs lyrics said "don't touch that pretty thing" 26:32 and that is just such a little but important touch i feel like x3

At 27:46 Blitz wanted to comfort Stolas by touching him, but then in the background of the song came the line "Don't touch that pretty thing"
Most likely intentional, but it makes the scene even more emotional
It was honestly the right call for Blitzø to make, too. People often get this wrong, but _physical reassurance doesn't always help_ -- if someone isn't in the right headspace for it, having someone touch them without consent (even something as simple as a pat on the back) can make things _worse,_ and Stolas was _definitely_ in that space. He didn't _want_ Blitzø to console him, he just wanted him to _leave,_ to respect his need for space that he laid down that morning -- on some level, I think Blitzø realized that, and waited quietly while Stolas composed himself again.

Alright, here we go again:
- The first scene was a roller coaster in itself, as much a mix of steps forward and back as everything else in this episode.
For the first time, Blitzø realized how much he'd fucked up, and it _hurt him._
- The liquor-soaked talk between Blitzø and Stolas was *_exactly_* the talk they _needed_ to have the other night, and while it _sucks_ that it's literally a day late and a dollar short, the fact that it was said is a *_major_* first step in both of their journeys to healing.
@@Nitrinoxus Oh yeah, Viv's comment sections are atrocious with bots. The downsides of being popular I guess.
😮
I forgot all about that.
(Also I'm pretty sure 5:46 was a small growl from Blitzø, which just quickly dies out the moment Stolas turns to him-)

Blitz has a League of Evil Exes, but at the Infinity War level. Dennis is Matthew Patel, "that guy I made out with once."
What's funny is that the gift baskets he gives to everyone is actually cheese and hot sauce (his favorite snack)
i think something to notice is how verosika, to me, understood that blitz belonged to that party, as he's hating himself too, and that his apology was sincere
Verosika approved blitz with a head nod after the cake heart
The backpedaling is a tactic. He wants to show that he's strong, not "weak", so he backpedals his apology, despite being 100 percent authentic in that moment.
13:18 The pumpkin Blitzø ran over when he arrived in the human world looks like Jangle from Vivziepop’s ‘Holidaze’ short from 4 years ago (it’s still on TH-cam) - I’m pretty sure he just killed Jangle 😂😭
Several other pumpkins with a similar appearance could be seen on Millie's folks' ranch during the visit in Season 1, too.
90's style break up ballads.
I knew I was getting strong Smashing Pumpkins vibes from that song.
Verosika giving him the cake was an actual metaphor of her giving him her bleeding heart and him leaving it.
Vortex would know Blitz, he meet him in Spring Breakout, and him and his girlfriend Bee where watching out for him in Queen Bee's episode.
It shouldn’t have been done drunk but sometimes being intoxicated lets you get your feelings out the good and bad ones
"I guess she IS a hero" xD
One thing I noticed is that Stolas said he wants to know the feeling of not being alone, and to feel loved. But nothing about Blitzø, not his personality or any of his qualities, he doesn't state that he wants to be loved BY HIM, or to not be alone WITH HIM. In his statement, he doesn't want Blitzø, he wants a relationship.
And if anyone person were to give that to him.. then he might just go for the first person who does.
Which Viv hinted at. Stolas will take literally anyone that offers 🫠
@@G.D.G.but where did she hinted?
Yes! I also noticed that =( Stolas said nothing about Blitz personally... They both are so wrong...
I like how around 10 seconds after him saying "I can almost hear Nirvana singing this" Verosika and Vortex go "at all, at all, at all" in a very similar way to the "hello hello hello" part of Smells Like Teen Spirit (18:54)
I was trying to stay strong but stoles crying broke me
Just because he can't accept that people could love him, doesn't mean that people didn't.
@@GlitchyHalo Complicating matters, besides the _obvious,_ is that Blitzø's work-life balance is, to use the _technical_ term, *_fucked._* When he's not keeping busy with his job, he seems to spend most of his time either getting hammered, shacking up with another one-night stand, or curled up in bed on the sofa -- now that we've gotten a good look at the long line of people he's dumped, it's unsettling to realize just how _small_ his social circle actually _is._
Barring the people who _have_ to be around him for work or because they share an apartment with him, Blitzø only really has _two_ people he hangs out with regularly, and _one_ of them wants to take a break from being around him for the foreseeable.
Healthiest bad ending possible is the most accurate terms I have seen yet
I just searched for reactions, I can't believe how you got this out just when I searched! I love your reactions!
I wonder if we just witnessed the official death of the Stolitz relationship in the show I hope it’s not
Probably not. I'm expecting a Stolas freak out when he sobers up.
Was waiting for this to pop up on my feed. Time to compile my notes for another too-long comment!
Weren’t we all, weren’t we all
Healthiest bad ending ever. 😢 You hit that right on the nose
That would be an interesting twist.
Viv hinted that stolas will find someone that will give him those feelings he has craved for years before reconciling with blitz by liking a comment of someone saying it we all thought it was the parrot guy but seeing as he is working with Andrelphus probably not him but the incubus instead
30:05 i just noticed the "orchesta version Vacay to Bonetown"
The old guy in the human world is the Brandon Rogers' grandpa character. Had similar sounding voice
I almost chocked on my drink when you said “I guess she’s a hero” lol. Amazing!
All according to cake. 😎
Now where did I leave that choking hazard warning. 🤔
Fizz's "Last I checked, your love life was a PILE OF SHIT" from Ozzie's makes a lot more sense now 😂😭
Stolas COOKED in the studio
I hope that the guy who asked Stolace to dance is named Alejandro as we saw Dennis again. I’ll bet that Dennis was there cause of what happened at Queen B’s party.
After watching this episode I might actually change my opinion about Verosika, never thought I would....yet here we are
That song was full of angst. I loved it. I bet Stolas' daughter would dig it, too. As he was singing it, I found myself seeing Octavia in him. Poor guy. I want him to be happy, too. So much to love in this episode.
😂😭 arier getting ready for the episode like i did just not wanting to hit play cos this shits gonna hurt
… This new screen setup really makes it feel like we’re watchin’ this sappy show with our favorite geek boi cry laughing while shoving handfuls of dry breakfast cereal into mah gab like some kinda godless creature. >)X^D
Note to Self: get a bag of dry cereal. This idea sounds good. 🤔
From the way they placed the line "I'm over you" right when Stolas gets in the frame... Idk, I might be overthinking but it doesn't look good...
I love how you and Stolas almost said "Yes!" at the same time.
30:25, named tattoos are cursed.
Watched EVERY season of Ink Master and every competitor said that.
But if nirvana sang the break-up ballad, no one could hear the words.😋
from a storytelling perspective, il love it if they don't get back together and they stay friends.
Sadly it’s been told that they are end game so there will be a healing phase and rebuilding their relationship from scratch
@@GlitchyHalo At list il be a good story, not to directly come together immediately.
20:59 the one with Stolas sitting on the steps is from the Ozzies episode
I love it soo much they didn't resolve their breakup over the cause of 1 episode, makes it SO much better. Urgh, I love the writing of this show
edit
and who's with me that they have to release the soundtrack for this episode?
4:16 Too many
5:00 Again, too many
8:52 No he's not. He dated Verosika remember? Bisexual, at the very least
9:36 Oh for Satan's sake Blitzo, shut up and listen for once!
9:46 Blitzo, I want you to think REALLY HARD on those words. You owe this bird EVERYTHING
11:10 MAMA MARTHA!
11:29 MARTHA X MAYBERRY CONFIRMED!
14:04 WAY too many. Though it's possible not everyone in the party is his ex and some are just guests
16:37 Poor Denis
16:56 Such shameless self promotion...I'l allow it!(Yes that's the real Blitzo plush)
18:02 Someone PLEASE give this bird an emmy for this performance!
I don't know where Stoliz is going, especially now that Blitzo is feeling what it's like to be, well, everyone he fucked over, but I hope it goes to a good place in the end.
FYI Vivzie confirmed Blitz as Pan outside the show iirc.
Blitz is pansexual btw (doesn’t matter what gender he’s gonna break everyone’s heart including his own 🥲)
0:47 For future reference, radio silence is not, in fact, an indicator of anything.
My guest is the next episode will focus on Stolas coming to terms in the same way this episode did it for blitz.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who got 90s vibes from that song. I keep seeing people compare it to todays music but this is a mid to late 90’a alt rock ballad
Anyone else think the pumpkin was a nod to Viv's short Holidaze? The design kinda reminds me of it
There is a theory that Blitz's mother was a succubus or half succubus, which is why he is so attractive to many because he is a hybrid himself. it’s even kind of fleeting in the series with the striker.
Vivzie has too much power over our mental state 😅
Yup. 😅😭
On his apology list where it said annoying kid is most likely the kid from the pilot episode
12:25 I JUST REALIZED THE OLD DUDE MIGHT BE BRANDON ROGER'S OLD MAN OC! HE LOOKS LIKE HIM KINDA AND IS VOICED BY HIM I THINK?!
Well that guy sure as heck must be some kinda reference. He's just too strange otherwise 😅
@@whatanonsense856 True 😂 somehow I didn't realize he was wearing THAT until I watched another reaction 😂 (so my 3rd time seeing the scene)
@@akaneshio6406 Oh yes, I tend to watch each episode a couple times that way, too 😄 I still don't know who the old guy is, tho. Some reactors simply accept that he's there, and given the show's ... nature I don't blame them 😅
@@whatanonsense856 Tru 😭😂
Yes I do think Stolas will freak out if anything does happen between him and the hunky imp. That face Blitz make when he sees Stolas smiling and happy and it wasn't because of him. I really hope Blitz doesn't give up. Because the conversation they had was cut short by hunky imp.
14:36 thats why Osmodius is a prince. He at least says, "in a bad way" at the end of lines like this one
25:36 Viv's haters situation
28:31 probalby most of the angels they ever seen or heard about are extermination ones so... yea... good thing for halloween for sure.
Well the last guy who he actually like ended up with a box of fireworks blowing up in his face becoming a quadriplegic was led to believe that he didn't want to see him again destroyed his family business and his mother died all because of him
I can see why he thinks he's doing them a favor but what's the chance of that happening twice
Your wife still uses an iPod? Damn, cool, I didn't even know they still had connectivity for them.
I thought they were gone right up til she needed a replacement. 😅
THe music in this one is on point. Not just the numbers we focus on, but the ones that play as they interact. It's great!
It’s hilarious when he pauses after two seconds, decides what the entire scene is, then 5 seconds later he’s wrong lol
So Vivian said this series will be 4 seasons and 50 episodes long…..have fun with that 😊
Honestly, I've thought since Ozzies, since S2 E1, that Stolitz might not be the endgame ship for the two of them.
Hell =/= Shitty, and Blitz is using Hell as an excuse to avoid having to change.
it is endgame, vivzie confirmed it
Someone in the comments on the episode pointed out that in that moment when Blitz wanted to comfort Stolas the songs lyrics said "don't touch that pretty thing" 26:32 and that is just such a little but important touch i feel like x3
Did anyone noticed that in the silhouette scene blitz's forehead mark was also glowing like how stolas's forehead eyes were glowing
Of all the ppl I follow and who will react to this, you were the first 🥳😂
Definitely feel the trauma, also I think verosika giving blitz that piece of cake is basically her telling him to eat his own heart out
