- In this video, I'll fix the Xbox One controller. The Controller has the two analog stick issues which I showed fixing more in-depth than usual for those who are interested. I also changed the RB LB Bumper Trigger Button.

The Xbox One Controller does not work when pressing the Xbox button.
Also, the right analog stick needs to be changed because it is very soft and does not return to its place quickly. I will change it, and it is not an easy process.

I am a whole 3 seconds in and god dayum. I’ve sunken pretty low to keep controllers going over the years, but a SCREW as a thumb stick? That’s certainly a new one XD

This controller is what I always see coming in for trade at Gamestop when I'm there looking around. Kid will want $100 cash for it and then get mad when the store won't take it!
GameStop won’t even give you that much for one in mint condition or even sealed box tf those kids smoking thinking they could even get 1/10th of that 🤣

I have this controller and I use it very carefully. When I saw this controller in such a state, I had a small heart attack.
You have enormous talent, some devices are worth restoring, but in the case of this control, it's more worth buying a new one (in a real situation), because I know you restored it for the video 👏👏👏
Why? Assuming you have the tools and the knowledge to do this clean and repair it only takes a couple hours and you get a working controller.
Maybe your time is more valuable than that, but many people find restoration to be enjoyable, productive and sometimes profitable.
@@jayjayhooksch1unless you're doing this for a video, restoration practice, or just for your own enjoyment/gratification, this particular project wouldn't be worth it.
With how much work had to be put into this one and the cost of materials you'd save yourself a lot of time and hardly spend much more just getting a new controller
@@frostbite3820 you couldn't be more wrong. The parts are dirt cheap and the reaper only takes an hour. Unless your time is worth more than 60$ an hour, this is a worthwhile repair.

If you want to have an easier time removing stickers try rubbing alcohol, it softens the adhesive.
isopropyl alcohol is rubbing alcohol just concentrated

Me encanta tu trabajo y he visto muchos de tus videos, aunque en este video si vi un area de oportunidad de crecimiento en el ambito de la soldadura de los joystick. Usaste mucha soldadura y también podrias considerar cambiar la punta de ese cautín o cambiarlo toco completamente ya que en la punta no derretia la soldadura y lo hacia a mitad de la punta.

Jesus... How does a controller even get that bad? My controllers have always seen heavy use and every one of them is still in basically perfect condition.
I bought a lot of controllers thinking there might just be some stick drift problems and I could just solder in a few drift boards. Boy was I wrong, the rubber from the stickpads is worn off, R3 and L3 don't click no more, the sticks are completely limp, every button is sticky and sections of the paint job have been chipped or worn away.
I don't know if people just let their dogs use these as chew toys or what; I've never had anything more than stick drift in my personal controllers and I've been letting my kids use them since they were 3. I even use nail polish to paint the triggers, shoulder buttons and left and right on the d-pad to facilitate learning the controls easier (it's easier for them to grasp "push the purple button" than "push L2/Left trigger). Yet still no problems even with them dropping controllers all the time, other than occasional drift which is easily fixed by those new drift boards.
