I think the years of the judges favoring Anna over Sasha finally got to her. It's always been blatant that they will give Anna more points than Sasha. Even more so when she moved to Plushenko. They will always give anna the higher goe and pcs to put her above Sasha even when Sasha is doing more quads time and time again. I think she finally just had enough of it and let her emotions come forward.

What about SP then? Sasha was gorgeous there, difficult jumps, beautiful spins and way harder footwork in her whole program than Anna's and yet she had the same components. From juniors Annas components raised by itself, whereas Sahsas almost stood in place despite the fact she got better in everything...Only a fool can't notice that.

I think Sashas “you knew” refers to eteri and her team probably telling her that she just needs to land all the quads and she can win. But the reality of how “low” her interpretation is being scored is something the team is more aware of than they are letting trusova know.

My heart aches for the beautiful skaters whose shining lights were dimmed by this scandal. The rush to judge Valieva by social and news media is unforgivable. They broke her. The adults surrounding her are responsible for her well being, to keep her safe, to keep her healthy, to keep her reputation untarnished. She is a child whose talents have been exploited. Where does she go from here? How does she mature into a young woman and leave this behind her? There are many stones unturned in this incident. Many who will be held accountable. To those who feel Valieva got what she deserved, I say this to you. Valieva's fall is a symptom of what is wrong with the sport, with the Olympics. If anyone is to be held accountable, there first must be a deep investigation into the entire sport and those responsible for training our talented athletes.

I was rooting for Trusova to win. I think her 5 quads is more memorable than Anna's gold but then again, Anna skated clean. So credit should be given to her for her flawless programs. Had Trusova landed her 3A and performed her free like she did, she would've definitely won or if she landed her all her jumps flawlessly in the free. ISU maybe biased towards Eteri skaters but I doubt there's a conspiracy to favor Anna. Trusova is allowed to show her emotions because, why not? But her claims are just wrong in so many ways. Again, landing 5 quads is something that will be remembered than an Olympic gold because in 2026, there'll be another gold medalist but I doubt there's anyone who'd be able to jump and land 5 quads like she did.

Situation with Kamila obviously has a political origin: her positive test was taken at the end of December, but somehow suddenly appeared in the middle of Olympic season, which was done in order to prevent Kamila from defending herself and in order to let her get bogged down in all this, skating in the team competition, thereby increasing her chances of getting a long-term disqualification later. So kamila's condition and in general the whole mess at the Olympics is the fault of those people who use sports events as a political arena, and athletes as people for public execution, how did it happen that, in your opinion, etheri is the one who needs to be banned? Trusova probably watched Nathan Chen do 5 quads and win and she thought the same thing would happen to her. But her score in the short program is what held her back. If Valieva didn't skate in the short program, Sasha's score from the free skate could have gotten her a gold medal.

What Sasha didn't understand is the judges favours artistry over difficulty of jumps for lady figure skating. Sure, they might want more quads in mens programme and didn't care for the sacrifice in artistry for men. But for women, the judges still value artistry over technical difficulty of jumps. In all fairness, Trusova is a technical jumper and her program lacked the flawless artistry of Scherbakova. I don't believe that she was robbed and she made a couple mistakes on her landings. She expressed poor sportsmanship by pouting and refusing to go to the podium with the other winners.
It was like a replica of the 1994 World championships. Where France's Surya Bonaly, also a technical jumper like Trusova, exerted so much defiance against judges placement of awarding Japan's Yuka Sato of the gold medal,. For her flawless program,
This Olympic event was sadly marred by the Kamila Valieva doping scandal and it was quite disturbing to see Anna Scherbakova, the gold medal winner, standing alone after she won with no one by her side to boost her monumental win. Not even her coach, Eteri Tutberidze.

I guess she just let all her emotions out after seeing the result. You know she didn't have a proper gold medal since she went senior. And i personally think that Anna does get overscored although I think she also deserves a gold. Maybe you think she's artistry like Kamila. Yeah right everyone gaslighted by their moves, their hands movement, balletic vibe whatsoever so they chose to be blind of their bad jump techniques: edges, prerotation, underrotation,... Sasha has better technique and i find her skate more beautiful and enjoyable than other 2 girls. Anna just do some easy crossover, in and out, and she got monstrously high PCS like Kamila. Like what the hell? It happened so many time, like the SP in Olympics. I have to say Sasha deserves more than Anna and Kamila and she's definitely more potential. You can see she improved her skating a lot, fix her jumps, and determined to jump 3A properly. I'm sure she will be top 1 in the near future. If not, it's such a disgrace for FS. They mistreat her just like Yuzu despite she's the one open the new era for women FS and because of that people enjoy watching women FS more. It's not the first time Anna and Kamila got monstrously buffed so I think it's gonna be tougher for Sasha day by day

But, to be fair, how many people have had their rightful spots stolen because judges wrongly held up Trusova simply becuase she was from Russia studying under Eteri? Case in point: Trusova should NOT have been above Wakaba in the short. Wakaba did a 3-axel and a clean short. Trusova FELL. She literally missed an element. But did you see Wakaba behaving like a spoiled brat? We love Trusova, but she needs to spend time working on her artistry. And take it seriously. But this behavior from her today was unacceptable. We've seen Sasha's program and yes, she lacks a lot of artistry (I don't really mind personally, I love watching her skate but I get that some people would mind), but also there is literally almost no choreography in the free. Someone DESIGNED it and someone ACCEPTED it. They knew she would loose a lot of scores for an empty program but yet noone ever did sth about it from the start. Are people blind!! Zero performance quality or artistic value. How her pcs and GOE were that high blows my mind. Anna did two quads and the capability to the quad lutz in her sleep for a total of three quads. She also had complex triple triple combos in the back half of her program. this video is great and I agree with everything. The whole situation is so sad. Everyone is in the wrong except the girls- they don't deserve this. ISU, WADA, IOC are all corrupted!! We can clearly see this in Beijing 2022. Not even commenting on Tutberidze. Sasha came back to her because she "wasn't as good with plushchenko"- so these kids can only work under extreme physical, emotional and media pressure? Bless them all. It's sad to see people saying "oh, well Kamila may as well end her career now". At 15?? Sorry, 15? Figure skating is obviously a young sport and many skaters don't stay even until the age of 20, but this girl Is going through her first Olympics, after a pandemic, after having to compete under ROC at just 15 yrs old. She's caught on a doping test, which is dodgy already (why did they bring it up now? why was It made public after she had already competed? why did they let her compete in the short programme anyway then?) and people expect her to stay put together and professional. Wow... Lowkey waiting for that "exposing eteri" moment. And lets just remember that drama just keeps following the tutberidze team (flashback to medvedeva vs zagitova 2018). These children are being traumatised, getting their childhood taken away, and for what now? A half-assed awarding ceremony, tons of hate online and maybe a car from Putin?? I always thought being such a high class athlete is an honour and that the athletes should be proud to represent their country, but these olympics just broke that idea completely. At this point its just corruption and politics. Hopefully the girls will be okay; their work ethic and strength are just immaculate.

I always said that it was the team management's fault for the whole situation that unfolded in China, not the athletes, those are just little girls trying to act as they were told to, but when you emotionally harass them they exploded, at that point the team and coaches i believe did not even have therapy specialists to handle that kind of situation, thats why it was a mess, and of course we all remember how the same thing happened in the previous Olympics between Alina and Evgenia, the same scenario where the coaches and team management are grooming Evgenia over the rest of the athletes, then Alina out performed her on merit and won the grand prize. I agree with your opinion. I feel really bad for all of them including the Japanese girls. Everyone had it bad. No need to go over Trusova and Kamila. I feel bad for Anna when she went to her spot and no one cheered for her win and how she was shocked she actually won. Then, the underscored Japanese girls, Wakaba and Kaori. I guess quads are the reason Anna tops Kaori but if that was the case, was 5 quads per FP not enough to shield Trusova from her 3A mistake in the SP? I'm a big fan of Anna but I'd rather not her win gold if it's so badly marred to the point it might not be a good memory at all. I was rooting for Sasha's first or only gold at the Olympics, so that's another reason I felt so bad about her. Then, there's Kaori with a beautiful program that I felt could've been worth gold as well. I feel so bad for everyone. The only thing I'm happy about is the Japanese hugging when Kaori won.

I certainly want to see more of her in the future she is absolutely one of the best skaters I’ve seen in a while, may god bless her and her family.

I cannot believe that our society is able to basically witch-hunt a 15-year-old and break her down publically, literally in front of the whole world. The timing is so strange, too. What a shame! As to Trusova - a bit is lacking there, not in the jumps or technique, but she simply has not the art and elegance the other girls do.

I am done with this sport and these judges, I do not want to step on the ice again (then refused to step up the podium and Eteri pushed her to go even while crying)”. Just terrible, these coaches make them crumble to think that’s all they are worth, filling their head with goals and triumphs yet dispose them and take 40% of their winning income. I’m done with skating too screw the ISU for putting all this to happen in one of the biggest platform. I am happy for Anna for mentally focusing on herself but she well knows now she will be disposable as Evgenia, Alina, and now Kamila. I hope Alexandra and Anna seek new coaches even if it means Plushenko or Mishin. I love Anna but was rooting for Alexandra for putting it all on the line but many mistakes in SP and FS and low artistry was expected for 2nd, glad not 3rd. As for Kamila her implosion seemed planned. Eteri had to tell her give it up. The dream is gone. Probably promising her the world after this fiasco. Kamila didn’t even feel the music and was pre rotating aggressively almost pushing to make mistakes. Just tragic event, happy for Anna but even she feels empty. This ruined the most vowed event in these games. I hope the coaches face a sanction. It has bruised the sport and shame on the ISU for not having a proper execution to this event.

My conspiracy theory is that Eteri and co encouraged Sasha to include the 5 quads in her FS because they probably counted on her not landing them all. That's how they held her back all these years since she became senior in favor of other skaters like Kosternaia or Shcherbakova. Today, everything clicked, Trusova landed all 5 quads and their whole scheme backfired. That meltdown after the FS should be enough to expose them. On the other hand, Trusova was spectacular and made history, but let's be real, she lost the gold in the SP. A simple 2Axel would have sufficed and today would have been a different story.
