Many day opera houses have branched out into presenting musical theatre works. The Lyric Opera of Chicago has presented the works of Rodgers & Hammerstein, including Oklahoma!, Carrousel, and South Pacific, just to name a few. Julie Andrews assisted the Sydney Opera in presenting My Fair Lady.

This is such a good question! There are many links between Opera and religion, and Christianity especially - biblical stories and figures have served as inspiration for many Operas. Religion has had an undeniable influence on the arts as a whole throughout history - I might need to make a whole new video for this topic! 😊⭐️
