There are a lot of times when Hungarian uses extra words as placeholders or reinforcing words. Még gives clarification to mindig - English does the same in may other instances - "helping words". Azt hiszem, hogy meleg van. The "azt" is a placeholding word that says - I have a statement coming, the verb will connect the statements through "hogy".
In America, sometimes people say something like "every single time I kick the edge of the bed" when they're really annoyed/frustrated with the situation. That's what folyton-folyvást sounds like to me.
We would probably say : Igazán nem kellett volna". Which is an incomplete sentence, the full sentence would be something like "Igazán nem kellett volna ezt tenned", which means "You really shouldn't have done this. But in everady speech we just say "Igazán nem kellett volna", and everybody knows what we mean.

4:22 interestingly enough the Germans also say “immer noch” to express “still”, where “immer” means “always” and “noch” means “still”.
So "még mindig" is very like German "immer noch"!
