In Canada get the Blind hole Bearing puller here amzn.to/2YwHtxR
buying a blind hole bearing puller isn't something that you'd normally purchase until one day you really need one. There is lots of creative ways to remove a blind hole bearing but speaking from experience it's way better having the right tool to do the job. once you get set up pulling a bearing will be a breeze

Appreciate when someone who actually knows what their doing make these vids so many people who have no clue read a forum then make a how to video when they themselves are learning

Thank you for this! I am in the process of rebuilding the NP231D in my 1994 Dakota V8 4x4. This is the exact tutorial that I was looking for on pulling these bearings.
This is actually the second NP231 I've done, but the first one I did without the puller. It was much easier this time. 😂

When I was doing my apprenticeship repairing power tools I was taught to remove them with a pin punch & plasticine as we weren't going to reuse them.
If you want to reuse them, you can get a shaft which fits the needle bearing them pump the cavity full of grease & drive it out that way, if it's an aluminium housing, just heat it up with a heat gun or propane torch ,tap it on the bench then the bearing will fall out.
You could use a block of wood to tap the new one in once the housing has been heated up,if you spit on it then they form into little balls them the aluminium is hot enough, I must've been taught by one of them.
They can help save lots of $$$$s !

For $60.00 that's a hell of a deal . Beats the alternative ways of removing that type of bearing . Great video Jerry , have a great weekend and say hi to my little buddy for me .

I spent 3 hours trying to pull some bearings out of my Honda's swingarm. I made a jerryrigged tool that was working but broke. Needless to say I'm waiting on this kit. I hope she works.

@@ajevans4802 it worked on one side then the tool itself broke while trying to do the other side. The collets are cheap and get chewed up after 1 use. Fortunately once 1 side was out I could use a bolt to get the other side out.
