Thanks you. This was my first festival, dropped my first trip-a big awakening for me. I remember Roy Harper, Aswad but my best memory is watching Randy California. There was smoke,Randy disappeared,I turned to my mate Jack and said "Wheres he gone".. there was Randy next to us playing his guitar. Magical! As were the lazers, the big bouncing ball.. That was Glastonbury at it's best. No security or bad vibes. Just people having a good time. Times changed;and not for better. TAKE ME BACK !!!
Wow, fantastic to see these pictures! Those plastic containers of cider were everywhere, I stayed on litter picking. Great to see this. Nice one thanks ❤
I was there, arrived at pilton almost legless to see the generator blow up during the "spirit set "remember van morrison playing saturday afternoon ,I think the hare Krishnas were there ,absolutely brilliant vibe just the pyramid stage and acoustic stage and the Krishna tent ,£8 for the weekend 25000 people happy days ,far better value for money than having 100 stages where you cant move around because theres so many people ,last time I went was 1995 I went with an open mind ,how things had changed more like being at football match ,still i pitched up at the theatre stage for 4 days and enjoyed "stompy" very funny man ! I think he played a set nearly everyday and he never failed to amuse me and the audience . PS ; 1982 was an absolute quagmire!!!
