That's when he wrote "Thus Spoke Zarathustra". This "rejection" from Salomé might possibly reflect the mental state when he wrote his book, although he had ideas developed even before he meet her. It gives a counter perspective on Nietzsche. (It kind of gave me incel vibes.)

The void starts when the brain starts playing games. Philosophy doesn't make sense anymore. You know you know it but suddenly the thoughts can't be stopped eating sleeping walking talking everything becomes an act and what you truly are is lost in that void. That is when you yourself discover these philosophies and actually realise what they mean. They words are same but the meaning is totally different because this time you truly understand it.
