Yeah, I was thinking when I saw the initial stream/vid; what, another truck stop? What is it about the US and stray/abandoned dogs and truck stops? Do the drivers give the dogs food, or is it easier for people to leave them at those places?

Danny reminds me of a Tracker named Tom Brown. His ability AND PATIENCE is astounding as he will 'play' with a wild Badger in the woods. Danny seems to have that same ability with rescues. I have a rescue pup - Chow/Shepherd/Lab. what a sweetheart! God Bless ALL of you!

He is adorable just adorable who could do some thing as cool is that there are people that will take your animals if you feel like you cannot take care of him anymore reach out to the groups Paul find some groups that will automatically take your animal and will not put it down do not do what so many people do discard them like there a piece of garbage there are communities that are right there that will step up and take your loving animals don’t discard them don’t dump them give us a chance to help you we are there for you and your loving pet

If these people knew he was there and did nothing to get someone maybe animal control out there? Didn't think to post something on social media about a stray/abandoned dog with a picture? Even though it's likely that someone dumped him at the truck stop and left and no one would claim him, it might have been easier to get a hold of him. It's obvious the dog was so loyal that he believed his owner who dumped him would be back to get him. That's just so sad I could cry. Shame on who ever just left him there.

Things don't always go as expected, despite our best efforts, sometimes it just happens, and I thank you for showing that.
Far too often people avoid telling the truth or purposely omit mistakes they made, fearing to be judged or just to protect their fake perfect image.
Showing others our mistakes and how we deal with them is super important, because people can learn from that and we can earn their trust.
Weston is a handsome gentle boy, and I wish him all the best. A huge thank you to the whole rescue team, it really took a village!

Indeed. So many Animals, esp. Dogs have unconditional faith to Human whatever those Humans did to them. In fact, not all Humans deserved living with an Animal.

Great catch, what a lovely dog. I cried and smiled just to know he is safe now and in a good home. Danny you did a good job but he got one up on you. Makes me so sad that people still think dumping a dog is good. It just tears my heart out.
That was heartbreaking to see him running for that pick up truck. I wonder if thats the person that abandoned him. Dogs are not dumb.

He was clearly in love with his human before. So sad to wonder what could have happened to make them leave him like that. He'll never forget them!
Nothing could have happened that would explain or excuse their abandoning him there! Unless they were murdered on the spot which they weren't. I think he'll forget them quickly now when he found better humans.

He was SOOO exhausted when living rough. It was amazing to see his spirit sufficiently replenished for zoomies! Good work everybody!

You know, people don’t understand how sentient dogs are. The way he went running after that truck just killed me. He was so forgiving of being left behind that all he cared about was getting back to the person he loved, not realizing they didn’t love him back. Thank you to everyone involved in his rescue….. for giving him people in his life that deserve his love and devotion.

An abandoned dog still looking for its owner who cheated on him. Would love to go back to his owner. That is the love n loyàlty of pet dogs. He deserved a caring family n he got one. The patience n compassion u showed finally did it. I hope all yr animals get adopted.

Thank you for that. I found 2 dog's in the same place in the summer 2021. One was hit by a car. I called hope for paws to come out and help. They responded 4 day's latter. I felt so bad driving away knowing that there's nothing around there. I left my dog's bowls and food and water. Hopefully someone helped those dog's. You the Man...

I agree with what Yolanda said. I've seen many of your videos and it is heartbreaking to see when the dogs hear a truck that they believe is their owners and they try to run after them. I-5 passes through a lot of desolate areas from the Highway 152 junction west of Los Banos to Grapevine. For some, it is a boring drive. For me, I have seen enough of your videos to be prepared with beef sticks, water, water dish and leashes just in case I ever need them. Thank you for the hard work that you do.
