Jared Goff was the worst QB you’ve ever seen as a rookie, much worse than Caleb, and then McVay saved him. If his career can be saved, the Bears and Williams have no excuse. The Bears need the right coach. A progressive, forward-thinking offensive coach.
Even after Goff declined in his final two seasons as a Ram, Dan Campbell and Ben Johnson saved his career in Detroit. DETROIT. The one franchise that Chicago fans could seemingly always look down at until now. It goes to show that teams can get the best out out quarterbacks; they just have to surround their QBs with the right people.
Mcvay didn't save Goff. Being in Detroit with the right supporting cast has saved his career. It's not just about the talent. But also how the whole systems has to work together towards a common goal.
He had Jeff Fisher as a coach his first year, and the team had just moved to LA and was feeling unsettled. Those issues were part of Goff's problem that first year. McVay believed he could be rehabilitated.
Mcvay is trash.... he ran Goff out of town and hasn't done anything since the season after he jettisoned the QB that built their team. Now he's just watching goff do it again in Detroit.

Not sure why the media hyped the bears up as putting Caleb in the best rookie situation ever. If you look at their offseason, what leaps and bounds did they make to get extensively better? Sign and trade for a couple of backup/low level starting olinemen, trade for Keenan Allen, draft odunze, and sign Swift at rb. How is that somehow the recipe for success? Oline was only improved by depth not by level of talent. Keenan adds to the WR room but he isn’t his younger self. Odunze is great receiver but isn’t being used right. At some point the players have to held accountable too. Caleb makes terrible reads and is extremely inaccurate. You can't put that on the coaches or the team.
I think it could all come down to coaching and an O line. WAS has a two headed monster in their coaching room with Quinn and Kingsbury. Plus Daniels appears to be the most NFL ready QB in the draft. This WAS team looks vastly different than what it did last season. CHI on the other hand has a trash O-line and nothing good in the way of schemes and development of their QB. People cooked Fields for his play behind a trash line and wack coaching but he still looked slightly better than Williams has this season despite Williams having much better weapons to work with.
Rewriting history. Fans online trashed Washington for their coaching hires. It’s only after the teams been putting belt to ass are they suddenly “good coaches”
@ really? I guess we were looking at different comments and platforms because I saw people praising these hires tbh. The only questions I saw surrounding this team was if the defense could hold up and if Daniels could actually make a difference for the Commies. Both questions have been answered with a resounding “yes”
Doesn't this happen with the Bears every year? I'm still waiting on Justin Fields to take the Bears to glory, like I was promised each of the previous three years. Gonna happen next year too. "With one year under his belt, Caleb WIlliams and a new head coach..." just you wait.
there is NO OFFENSIVE LINE. The OC was a league joke. The HC is a fanny pack. The owners are trust fund babies. Caleb is not to blame 100% .. but he's a rookie. Relax. Fire the coaches. Hire Rex Ryan. He'll pick violent men.

At some point the players have to held accountable too. Caleb makes terrible reads and is extremely inaccurate. You can't put that on the coaches or the team.
Not even gonna watch the video but answer the title/thumbnail. No, he is a rookie. Anyone pressuring him right now is stupid.
This why i dont pay attention to these "sports analysts" lol.
Chicago is where QB careers go to die. They’ll ruin Caleb like they have every other QB they’ve ever had.
Goff just threw the same amount of int’s Caleb has on the season…in one game.
He’s been the best player on the offense, yes which has been awful the past 3 weeks…but it isn’t all on him
