The movement system is difficult to learn, but it is extremely rewarding once you figure it out. I think a lot of this games charm would be lost if it simplified to something like the roblox aot game.
Having a simplified mode wouldn't be too bad though. You still can have that high skill ceiling but the simple mode gives the newbies/clumsy players an ease-in, then once they hit the simple skill ceiling they can take off the training wheels and go full-force
Maybe it's because I'm on labtop instead of desktop, maybe it's because the last time I played was 2015, maybe I don't have the right new skill point things... But the movement feels different and I can't get a hang of it yet. Sucks because it's really fun just flying around and I'm struggling to do that lol.

Here's an idea I had for a Reeling tutorial: Get the player to reach a minimum speed and swing around a target, then have the target flash green when the player needs to reel in and attack. Would get players used to that timing before they have to worry about positioning at the same time. If there was a way to record replays in the form of ghosts that could also be used to teach players more nuanced mechanics.
It's not coming to Steam, but you can just add it as a Non-Steam game. Then you can set your own custom cover art for it. Idk why more people dont do this.

Really really hope we can save the little citizen sprites we see running around in that gameplay preview. The immersion of coming up on a titan and they have a person in their hand and getting to spontaneously save a little sprite person just sounds so fun.

Question 2: About the Titans Shifters, do you intend to put the 9 Titans? If so, do you intend to put unique skills for them, such as the Armored titan having Rush, Female Hardening, Attack and War Hammer skills, etc. And the main question, do you intend to PVP between Shifters?
Second thing, it would be great if we can personalize the shifter titans to you if you are using the ability, like the hair, colours, type of skin and that stuff, I understand if isn't necesary but it would be great

Any update on the nape lock on mechanic being fixed? Currently you cant freely move your mouse when locked on a titans nape makes it hard to actually utilize the feature.
Thanks for the great game! I have a small suggestion, but I'm not sure if others share this opinion, I feel that the cooldowns for the blade attack skills (spins and Mikasa's chop) should be significantly reduced, maybe to around 0.5 seconds. These moves are fun and visually exciting, but they don’t necessarily increase gameplay efficiency, so it would be great to use them more frequently
A follow up to the comment you made about soldier ai, do you think it's possible and more feasible to have non odm soldier ai, like the MPs or Marley? Could make for a fun but probably complicated liberio mission down the line.
We'll likely add this in an update. We just need to think of optimizations and how/if they should customize, for stuff like hair, uniform, colors, etc.

Is there anything that you will be doing to make the learning curve easier for the turning and aiming? I never found out how to get faster in the forest and accurately aim for a titan.
Please increase the hit box for legs and arms, also please allow us to injure them during animations. I've slashed up the knees so much during animations but it doesnt do anything
One question I had about Shifters. I believe I know you guys are adding different Shifters, although I'm not entirely sure if you're adding all of them, since one Shifter I can't quite wrap my head around is the Colossus Titan. How do you plan to go about implementing the Colossus Titan? They seem rather big, and I imagine it'd be difficult to try and give them a work around. Maybe you plan to add an overhaul to the maps to fit the Colossus Titan? This is all assuming you plan to add every Shifter to the game and don't decide to leave some out. You might not have the answers yet, but in the event you have ideas on how you want to incorporate the Colossus Titan, I'm genuinely curious, since that Shifter seems a tad more tricky to put into the game given how big they are.
It is definitely the one titan that I had to think the most about. What I've decided on for now is this: the Colossal Titan will be on the smaller side (about a size 4/5 titan), and it will probably immediately unshift after using its heat blast attack. If you don't want to immediately unshift, you can walk around, jump, kick, and slowly slap/slam. I think this should be relatively balanced for the Colossal and still provide utility, even on maps that it'd be too big for.
For the Thunder Spears you could add a Skill or Perk that lets you carry 4 in each arm like Mikasa but in exchange it reduces your ODM movement speed a little?
Thunderspears are still getting reworked so we won't be adding any perks for it until then. We may add a perk somewhat similar to this idea later on though, we're still deciding exactly what we want to do with perks going forward.

Hey there is a bug i found with thw Carry ability, whenever i get carried it works normally but when i carry someone else, the moment they stop being carried they teleport to the point where they were picked up and keep the momentum

Can you guys make it that after a certain amount of explosions/smashes from players/titans that the buildings would look like damaged? Haha it's just for some added immersion, but great job! I tested the game earlier and it was fantastic
Will there be any chance of changing the range that titans notice you? Maybe have it based on the difficulty Also a tooltip of the different skills when you look over them, such as effective ranges, maybe? Like what is the range of something like the distract skill?
A game like that on Android is quite possible. The game is not heavy. The characters and textures are basic. What would complicate things at most would be the shadows.
I think it would be great if you respond to this...The game have the different cameras and you can lock the titan too, but it makes no sense if you play with TPS camera and lock the titan too, maybe you guys can try to make that if you lock the titan automaticaly changes to original camera meanwhile you are locking the titan
So far the plan is: 3-hit combo, special ability, kick, dodge/block (depending on the titan), jump. Some exceptions apply of course, like the Cart Titan will probably have something instead of a 3-hit combo.

Sorry, I had someone else send me the facebook posts. He must've missed yours, so I'll answer here: there shouldn't be any difference if I recall! If anything, just slightly different placement of the same hitbox.

A 10v10 pvp based mode with an objective would be cool, with factions and unique shifters for said factions.

There will be no in-game purchases. We will not charge for any part of the game.
