I heard the Flo guys trying to look for this video of the 1st match as someone mentioned that Taylor didn't look like his normal self and that it might have been due to the occurrence of landing awkwardly on his head at 1:57 left in the 1st period. I'm not sure about that but Brook's takedown at 1:20 left in the 1st looked like Taylor didn't even defend. It seems very odd.
@@danrose3233 i get that, but if you look back at the match there are key moments that happened that dictated the final victor. For example, Brooks capitalize on Taylor mistakes with strength and speed after defending the takedown, yeah you can see Taylor took a very skilled technical shot, but clearly wasn’t strong enough to finish it and brooks just overpowered him lol. Maybe the US team needs athleticism than technique this time to get gold..
@@isaiahrobinson6489 I get your points, but if you are familiar with Taylor over time I still contend there is still something off on Taylor's part and it isn't age. This takes nothing away from Brooks performance, and I think he will represent US well and likely content for a medal in Paris.
Taylor looks half asleep I don’t think waiting helps better to have some matches to warmup I think it’s tougher not to have matches too. Hard to get in groove
I agree but I also think wrestling 4 or 5 tough matches vs someone who is fresh is wild goes to show how actually good these guys are. I can't see Taylor getting shut out so tonight's matches will be good!

I like Hasan Yazdani az an Iranian too, but If brooks wins the second round against David taylor and wins the spot, then that means he is not an easier opponent for Hasan. Actually he dominated David at least in this round and showed he is not easy for any opponent. Can't wait to see the second round.

Idk but in my opinion yazdani will beat everyone in 86kg except of taylor, sometimes no matter how good you are you will lose to someone just because your style doesn’t match with his style, i am shocked by this brooks guy’s technique and i have huge respect but I think yazdani has the most chance to win the gold at paris,
What happened to Taylor? He did nothing in the two matches against Brooks. Virtually zero offense. Valencia, on the other hand, battled Brooks evenly and generated significant offense against him. Does Nike now regret giving Taylor the Big $$$ contract right before the Olympic trials?

noo, brooks was just clearly stronger and faster than taylor, all respect to the guy but hes getting pretty old.
