Chris, the cf Bedford, because the fuel pump is on its end , you need to bleed the fuel pump at the 5 mm Allen key in between the injector pipes on the fuel pump. Also old diesel starts to smell like brush cleaner when it is old & gone off ..generally when the diesel goes off the fuel pump would be knackered inside ..🧨

Yo chris m8 those Bedford cf diesels are cxxts to bleed !!!!i made a cap to pressurerise the fuel tank and push the fuel where it needs to go and the air out but b4 that i used to put a rope on em and drag em till they fired up with someone piloting the cf obviously 😅😅TOP MAN M8 listen in this game we all make mistakes especially the shit they make nowadays cheap nasty penny pinching litter 😅😅😅 keep em coming m8 love a new struggler vid 😊😊😊😊😊

In a garage I worked at in the 80’s and 90’s on those leyland engines if they didn’t start was have you checked the dashpot got oil in it?.. it used to be a running joke.

Years ago, mate had a mini van that he shared with his girlfriend, then she bought a Mini car for herself, but always had trouble starting it. She used to ring him, he'd drive over and it started first time. With her being used to the old van, she'd been pulling on the heater knob, thinking it was the choke !
When I've been trying to prime some of our diesel stuff in the middle of a forest and the battery's getting low, I find if you block off the air intake with a bit of wood or thick card, the engine will turn over quicker as it's not having to compress loads of air ?
Also have a Garret metal detecting pinpointer, absolutely great for finding small stuff that you've dropped in the grass.

According to google Chris, 411 is the old US telephone number for the information operator (directory enquiries to us). So the 411 just became slang for information.

If your ever unsure about the seal position been right Chris put grease on the axle where the seal should ride push the hub on the axle fully home and when you pull you can then see where the seal has gone up to. Had to do loads of the things on optre solo buses even if you used the proper tool that set the depth for you the bloody things used to piss out in the end you just used it as an indicator as to when the diff needed filling up
Thats a very good idea with the grease, but i allways knock the seal down to the bearing as thats were it should be ?

I've the same fuel issue on my 90 which has stood for a year,even tried injector cleaner directly into pump but still nothing out of it

That jump pack is awfully familiar, place I worked had the same one except red and viking branded from harbor freight. I was in disbelief when I that eclipse charges £550.00 and in the US for the exact same Chinese jump box its $329 (£265.00) what a markup. They do work well if you keep them charged. And as said 411 is or was the the number for information in the US, Weather, Time, and directory assistance. Any mechanic that says they've never had a job go bad is full of it.

In reference to the t20s the engine is exactly the same for the 12v and 6v mounting wise only things that are different are regulator starter dynamo coil and condenser
The difference between a straight petrol engine and petrol tvo engine is the thickness of the head gasket petrol had 5mm tvo had 7mm
A diesel engine will fit but clutch flywheel and all the electrics are different who ever told you they were all different was full of 5h1t
