Believe it or not, MegaMan used to have an entirely original moveset for earlier versions of SSF2, like 0.8, but after the release of Smash 4, it was changed to be the same thing. Which was unfortunate, because his moveset for Flash 2 was so cool.
honestly, crusade did him PERFECT! sure, basing him off the nes megaman is iconic and all, but the design has so much more personality in crusade and the moves are more traditional smash yet still mega man like (shooting as the neutral special rather than jab, etc)
