Jeremy's work (animating video games, sometimes speedruns or just playthroughs) is one of the most enjoyable pieces of content in the Internet. As a "love letter" to his work, I got inspired to attempt what he does.. and it is a lot of work! Also, his creativity is hard to match. But I think I can understand him a little better now :) Hope you all enjoy this copycat attempt.

Mega man doesn't even use the robot master weapons other than super arm. He just uses their corpses against each master
Well, he doesn't carry Gutsman's corpse as he did with the others.
But it symbolizes the weakness cycle.

Evan Potter Dude, it’s not a shipping joke. It’s a joke about the watch brand. Rolex watches are a thing. Take the brand name and then take Roll's name, and then combine them and you get Roll-ex/Roll X. There's the joke.

the passion for mega man very clearly shows in this, and i LOVE the clear reference to powered up, i think my favorite part of this is the boss introductions and just how expressive they are???? the way you draw the robot masters is kind of amazing even in its simplicity. i dont know how to properly express how much i like this. its just... i love this video

@@davidthecommenter yes. and the sad part is that SAMMX gets more recognition purely because it was made by TerminalMontage. It wasn't even that funny, whereas I was losing it watching this. Not to mention the abundance of "y0, tHIs s0nG iS rEAlLy gO0d" comments on any video of Spark Mandrill's theme now.
iWoomy The comment quotes also spread to "Oh no you're a wall now!" and "I'm a big boy!" whereas this has not much voice, but even silent characters can make hilarious jokes.

It's not unusual at all. Lots of games have fire being weak to ice. It usually goes both ways, with both elements being weak to each other, though since Mega Man has a one-way weakness chain, they have to pick one. Sometimes it's fire > ice, other times it's ice > fire.
I have to look back on this video because I can’t help but think about how relatable it is when the ice climber comes in and gets completely shocked the way he nods his head and MegaMan also😂😂😂

That's a voice clip from megaman x 4, it's actually Zero that says that so yeh.
Actually, that's Zero's voice in Megaman X4. In it, Zero is betrayed by his girlfriend, Iris, because Zero's friends, the Maverick Hunters, deemed Iris' brother, the Colonel, as a criminal because of a crime caused by Zero's archnemesis, Sigma, and then the Hunters killed the Colonel. Out of insanity, Iris tried to kill the Hunters by putting the Colonel's programming inside of her. That was insane because it was suicidal, since Iris fried her own programming. Iris then died in Zero's arms, and that's when Zero yelled "WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOR?!?!" That line is used here because it was some piece of horrible voice acting, and it would have been hilarious if someone would have replied Zero, who is a good guy, "Doctah Wahwee", since Wily is Zero's creator.
