Just seen one with the gas tank just below the handle bars and above the front fender, in other words, on the front forks. Other places could be under the so called seat and the actual frame of the bike. This is a good question, I've asked myself this several times. So far the front forks is the only place I've seen it and that was after seeing your question about it.

I've got an 2004 450 4 stroke. The only past experience I had was riding my moped some offroad and on road for about 6 months. I went into the forest and sure I rode slow but it wasn't so hard that I fell all the time. I fell 2 times on a stone track which I rode for about 3 hrs. It's hard but not as hard as many say it is when you first start out.
I think I'll wait and see until Adam Raga and Toni Bou will go Enduro!

Yes they are. But I just read something in one of the magazines about someone having a rekluse and how they are awesome. But when you are at a standstill in first gear or whatever, you dont need the clutch, but at the same time you will melt the plates if you dont use it when stationary.. so ya
with the bikes they are using the betas the fuel tank is built into the frame and trials bike aren't meant to have seats because they get in the way when doing certain body movements
When i was riding they sat at the exakt sama place as on other types of bikes,but it´s so slim and only around 3 litres so you can hardly tell. The lid is probably hidden aswell nowadays :)
It's not just something you can say I'm gonna do. Its hard as hell.
Google for trial motorcycle and hit images, you see a few where the gas tank is in the same as any other motorcycle, but WAY smaller, around a liter from what I was just reading. The front fork tank is an add-on.

I also rode it on ice for about 10 hrs total to get the hang of the bike and how to stand up and then I went to the trails I meant to say.

It's the actual technique to riding up steep rocks. And also to everyone else, I've got a Beta factory and that bike weighs 66kg, they are insanely light. 66kg is the limit for weight, anything less is not allowed in competition.

There pretty light, I think some of the newer bikes are around 70kg while enduros are about 100kg or heavier for a four stroke
In my opinion, before anything motocross related is in the Olympics, I think that downhill mountain bike racing should make an appearance

Actually 2 stroke engines are the only engines with actual power bands. 4 strokes have more of a linear rev whereas a 2 stroke engine's is closer to exponential.

on what kind of bike 2 stroke 4 stroke because 4 strokes have less kick to them and 2 strokes have most of the times power bands and there crazy.

they are around 70 kg and they aren't that hard because they have fairly bounce suspension depending on how you set it up and if you have the right technique

maybe 50 kilos. but they have these springs. ever tried to hop on a full-suspension mountain/downhill bike? just push your weight into the springs and hop a bit.

You realize there are only certain areas where it is legal to ride, don't you? Governments set aside small plots of land (your "controlled area") so that we can ride there and not disturb other places. We hardly have ANY land to ride, but still we follow the rules and ride only where it's legal! I don't understand why people still complain and try to give us LESS land.

From what I understand the olympics are set for man-powered sports only. So since trials is not technically completely man-powered, it won't make it in. But I'd love to see trials in the X-Games.
