  • Ive been following trials since 1984. This is the most dangerous indoor trial ive ever seen.
GRAHAM JARVIS WITH NO MINDER. The French were known for dangerous indoor events. The interviews with the top trials stars on WWW.RETROTRIALS.COM explain this . Nowadays indoor events are a LOT tamer . Thank God - say the riders :)

I remember watching this event when it was broadcast in 2000. I'd forgotten all about it, but seeing that mad opening section ans concrete towers bought it all back. I've seen base jumping from lower heights! It makes for fearful stuff, and as ever is given added drama from the brilliant and legendary Jack Burnicle

What an awesome video. There is no way I could dream of getting my skills to this level ever much less have the nerves to do this. Amazing.

Jarvis in a fantastic come from behind to win. This is why he is so awesome in the real technical parts of hard enduro. Love seeing him on a Bultaco, from fellow Bultaco rider. Thumbs up!

I love this video, great era. We often had 3 brits on the podium at the indoors. Graham would often ride with no minder, he's just too tight to pay one lol. I was Graham's minder for most of the indoors in the previous year and second minder with Malcolm at the world rounds before he switched to Sherco, It was a busy time for Malcolm's business and he would be away a lot for the outdoors so he rarely did the indoor season. Thanks for uploading.

One can easily see why he's a top-notch enduro rider. Is he really too cheap to hire a minder? :)

So were you in that Madrid indoor round where Colomer almost died?

@Diego Ruiz At the waterfall? No, thankfully not. I was there when David Cobos had a nasty crash though. Do you remember him? Such a promising young rider, It ended his career sadly.

@Mark - It wasn't easy to find someone who could do it. Unlike the big teams, Montesa, Beta, Gas Gas etc... Scorpa didn't have a factory team at the events. If Graham had to pay someone at a decent rate, plus hotels, diesel, ferry's, food etc...all from the appearance fee, there wouldn't be any profit.

@@stevebird4079 - Yeah, Cobos was rather good for a couple of years before that crash, I kinda like him together with Colley

A little crazy for the rider, most probably those that thought of the course didn't have to ride it.
