    a little bit about me:
I am originally from Torreón, Mexico but moved to the US for a while now. Now I am spending a year in Australia. Some of my passions include movies, music festivals, acting/directing, and traveling. One of my dreams is to travel the world someday and this will be the place to document it. Come along for the ride!

    Hello, hello :)
When you were talking about the name tag I just remembered the one time my checked-in suitcase got lost with all my clothes. Fortunately I got it all back the next day but that was no fun. Or, after that incident, the panic when a couple of times the airline told me "your hand luggage has to be checked-in because there is no room in the compartments". Make sure you have copies of your passport in case something happens. Maybe put a change of clothes in your backpack in case the other bag gets lost.
Since 2018 I have only travelled with a backpack 16 - 24 L and oh, boy, how freeing that is. I also just found out about a portable "washing machine bag" (Scrubba) which I might get for the next trips.
I normally take 2x t-shirts, 1x leggings, 1x hoodie/jumper, 3x underwear, 2x socks, flip flops for the shower + what I am wearing when travelling. I have a 1 L toiletry bag, hair brush and shampoo go separate since they don't fit in it. I love solid products. Doesn't matter if I am travelling for 5 days or 15.
In the last hostel I was, there was no shelf in the shower to put your stuff on. Since I had already checked the pictures before I went, I brought the toiletry bag with the hook.
Hope you have/are having a great trip! ☺
