I use Lockerdown console safes. I own two and they have a new model with a keypad. You can use the charger inside. The safes are the strongest on the market and they're made in Texas 🇺🇸.

I saw it covered up the light and the charging port. Sense the safe is locked before you install it drill about 15 1/4 inch holes to allow the light to work. And cut a square out for the port. Nobody is going to see it any way.
Unfortunately, tubular locks are extremely easy to pick. You can even buy picks for them on ebay. Also, those combination dials are extremely easy to pick. This isn’t good security. I’ll take my lock’er down with abloy lock, any day
If we think like that we won't get any safe or lock for the car. There is absolutely no safe that can't be opened. It's about that time consumed in a hurry situation. I think this safe is mostly to discourage someone that actually got into the car (passed the alarm) or to prevent children to touch a gun. A crowbar would not open this safe easily.
I will make a video about that soon. I never thought of making that video but you gave me an idea. =) I have 1911, 2011, beretta and glocks so I will post it soon. =)

Great vid, i'm really interested in picking up one of these. I'm concerned about the size though so i'm eager to see an update vid with various guns. Have you seen the vid where a guys vault was forced open? Thieves pried it open with a crow bar. Do you think your vault could hold out?
hahaha..You can literally open anything with the crowbar. BUT!!! I never seen a car thief suspect carrying a crowbar.. How would they know that there is a console safe? Why would they carry a crowbar if they are just going to smash the car window and take whatever is inside? Crowbar is only used for home burglary and commercial burglary..
Thanks. It's unfortunate that his vault was opened. I'm sure that Toyota Vault will be opened if you pry hard enough. Any anti-theft device is to buy time and/or deter theft. If they want it bad enough, they will take it.
I assume that you cannot use the key lock to override the combo? In other words, if you don't feel comfortable using a 3 digit code you can use the key to lock it so that the code would not work.
I think all AR is similar in quality. It’s just the upper and accessories that makes the difference. Just my opinion. My coworkers love Colts and Smith&Wesson.
@@TacticalExpedition Yea from what I understand the upper is the most important part which determines reliability. I would get a Colt LE6920 but they are a little pricey. I was looking at a ruger 556 MPR
I was going to mention. Don't get Ruger... I've seen some bad quality Ruger AR15s... Just save little more and get the good brand. No regrets. Trust me. =)

It’s not covered up. There’s access to the cigarette lighter port. 👍🏼
