The Toyota factory console safe. Very easy to use and a great option to add to your Toyota. here is how to use it and how to change the combination to the safe.
This can easily be defeated with a flat head screw driver. Look at the hinges and one hit will cut the hinges. Also lock itself can be opened easily by using a screw driver by prying the tab.

Can you remove this easily if didn't want it in the car anymore as the owner? How is it connected to the console?
Depends on the vehicle for specifics but if you have access to the inside of the safe you can remove it.

@@gordo75 there are 2 screws in the bottom of the safe. Pull them out and pull the safe out. That is all that holds them in

There are 2 screws on the bottom right then it just pulls out
if it can be defeated with a paperclip or something, its useless.
It is programmed with a clip. You have to have the correct combination in it in order to change it
