Initially I thought the older two boys were upset with the stepdad because his mom recently married him and they couldn’t adjust, but they have been married for 13 years! Those boys were very young when they got married. I’m sure the step dad has showered them with love, but they behave poorly towards him because of the mom’s words. Very sad
I got the impression there was more to the story with how much the husband kept going on about how forgiving his wife was. I think the boys are maybe repeating what they've heard said about their dad from their mom and possibly biodad, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were holding back part of the issue

@@benjaminanderson5176I guess it depends on the kids and how the parents talk about finances. My husband and I used to argue about finances and it would stress our oldest out. Now, she still knows our financial business, however, my husband and I deal with it VERY differently. We don't argue, yell or blame one another. We just calmly talk about it and find solutions. She's totally fine now because finding solutions instead of arguing made all the difference in ALL of us.

My heart hurts for sweet little Charlette. She is so starved for attention. I can’t imagine never reading to your 2 year old. My daughter loved books. We went to the library, and she had her own bookshelf of dozens with books.

My son was read to from before he was born and he loved books and he didn't get his first xbox until he was 10. Reading helps with their learning amd before bed it relaxes them amd there's great groups at libraries for little people.

Father also. They played chicken, who was going to give in first to go change Charlotte’s diaper. The whole time Charlotte is the one suffering and being neglected.

I’m 75. My oldest child died at age 7 of chickenpox 11 years before the FDA had approved the vaccine…it’s been 36 years since she died but I STILL remember one of her favorite books…we must have read it hundreds of times…it was called “An Owl And Three Pussycats”.

my mum and stepdad were together from '05 to 2022, married in 2010. I was born in '02. i hated him and never once considered him my dad, in fact im glad they've divorced. happiest day of my life when I found out. it's not unusual

This is the first-time I've seen someone call upon the nanny and she wasn't able to help this mother didn't want to hear anything. she's going back to whatever she wants. Shes very selfish. He met the boys before 5. That is plenty of time to show the boys love and that you are there when they need you. The attidude is clearly rubbing off on Eric and Devante.....They see the way she treats Charles and them and their brothers see that she has no time for them so they figure if they do what she does, they won't get in trouble.
I think one of the worst things in any family is the overuse of technology in the home. Everything ranging from family members camping on their cell phones at the dinner table at home or in restaurants, video games to "babysit" or "entertain" the children, instead of interacting with them in family activities, parents and kids spending most of their time on social media, or other computer sites. Lack of actual parenting and discipline seems to be the thing of the past. Children act like disrespectful little jerks at home and in public, and parents are too busy with themselves to raise them correctly and actually participate in their children's lives. No structure, no boundaries, no accountability, etc.. This happens more often than not in many many families. Set limits for video games, computers and cell phone access. Make them do their homework, and stop expecting their teachers to raise your kids.

Yeah, it seems like there’s more to the story. And why don’t we ever hear the oldest daughter mentioned at all? I would think her relationship with them would at least be relevant, even if she is away at school.
I know we have to respect the parents and realise that they may have mental struggles. But this mum just comes accross as selfish. Why did she have kids in the first place if work always comes first? It makes me sick that some people would give their right arm to be parents and then we have parents who don't really want to be parents when the kids grow up. I mean, I’m a Christian, my family is all Christian, and I know first hand we’re by no means perfect. We make mistakes just like everyone else. I’m, however, not excusing any bad behavior of theirs as no one should.
