But Supernanny got to the root, and dug it out. Just by calmly talking to him he explained what happened to cause his outburst with his sister. And he calmed down. I found that very interesting when she told the dad by him bringing anger to his son, it was only escalating the anger, in the son. And you could clearly see the son face talking to Nanny he was just wanting to get an adult to listen to his side. So Nanny said get both sides, before you always condemn the one you think started it. No wonder he had all that anger, in him, too much unjustified condemnation.

UPDATE!!!!! In 2016 the mum had her 8th child, girl called Quinn with her new husband. 3 weeks later Marli had her own daughter (she was 17), so the mum and Marli were pregnant together! Better yet her dad is really involved in her and all the kids lives, so separating from her husband allowed her to accept her dad for who he is and the kids get an awesome grandpa :))

"We have different views on his lifestyle" and yet she is so sad her dad isn't there and wants him. I don't think she homophobic. I think her husband is. but he's worn her down to think she is too. that sit-down convo with the 3 of them just shows it. Her husband is controlling her thoughts and way of life. she was so scared of him leaving her, as her father did with her mother, that she had that many kids when she didn't want kids. there is more stuff going on behind closed doors. Her husband seems manipulative, and also aggressive. The kids learn to hit each other from seeing it from somewhere. I wonder who they learn that from. I may be completely wrong, but this is just another take on this family.

Being working class means being SAHM is only option. And then, because she is people pleaser personality, isolate her from her dad.
He didn't have to like her dad, but there is no reason why he wouldn't allow her to have relationship with him.

He knows he's been caught, he knows she's going to call him out - ON TV. Its like he's being careful around her, careful about what he does and says. Also - when Jo is talking to Katie about how she's too hard on herself? Husband is watching Katy and his jaw is tense.

I read that the couple split later, and i think that was the best. He wasn't right for her. He was the one that wanted kids, but doesnt help her? You shouldn't have had kids then, at least not yet

I felt Joe really connected with this family and it was nice to see. The parents were stern and not push overs but lacked patience with their kids and Joe helped with that.

They're parentifying the 8 year old daughter. She didn't ask for all those siblings, so mom and dad need to step up.

Hardly. She’s doing favours for her whilst her mother is doing something else.

@@ibrahimahmed6739 bro you don't get it
She not doing "small favors" the 8yo does everything and she shouldn't be because she didn't ask for 7 siblings and the parents need to take care of them not the 8yo

Right from the start, my heart was aching for this family. The mum clearly has more kids than she ever wanted and can't handle them all. In my family, I was the eldest who had to be grown up and responsible, and I was also the one with an undiagnosed developmental disorder that wasn't treated appropriately, so I feel for Marli and Daniel both. I'm really looking at the dad in this situation for putting all this on his wife.

Children will misbehave if they’re being “parented” by another child! How lazy and irresponsible can you be. Don’t have kids if you’re not going to raise them yourself.

I think this is probably the family that has taken the most away from Jo coming to help them. They were mature and so ready to learn. They followed through beautifully and were so ready and willing to learn new things that will help with their son with adhd. It’s quite sad how the doctors of us the diagnosis of adhd but they don’t help with tools to use to help these children. It should all be very entwined and discussed with the diagnosis or very short after being diagnosed. Great job to these parents and to Jo’s beautiful knowledge❤️❤️❤️❤️

No excuse for not knowing how to handle ADHD. My 23 year old son has it, and even that many years ago i was able to look up how to properly handle him. They just didn't BOTHER to figure out the medical needs of their son. disgraceful.
