what i love about stray kids is they're contrasting voices and the diversity in their voices, chan started out with these beautiful clean vocals and the sound was flipped when when changbin comes in rapping with a gritty tone. Within their rappers you have deep and gritty vocals with changbin and felix and then a melodic tone rapping with hyunjin and jisung, i really think that chan should rap more so that i can full grasp his style but it always seems to be clean and steady. the vocalists all seem to have a soft, emotion quality about them which i think is really nice against the intense stray kids sound
Chan raps a LOT in 3racha tracks! You can check them out on TH-cam and Soundcloud if you haven't yet :) Yeah he doesn't rap much in Stray Kids songs, most likely because he's a selfless leader who gives the rapping parts to the other members~
Hyunjin is more of an aggressive rapper with no raspiness in his voice (we all know changbin is the raspy one) his voice is more on the husky side. Jisung on the other hand is the melodic fire spitting rapper
@@fulgenciodomchristiant.iii6600 sometimes I preferred his rapping in Get Cool, Question, TMT and Awkward Silence. I like the easiness of his rap tone, Get Cool was the first song I heard from them and that's why he's my first bias at that time.
At first, I didn't feel the way I felt to vocalracha(when Woojin is still part) to Chan's singing, maybe I'm more attractive to his voice when he sings English songs or also rap in English.
I don't think Stray Kids are being overworked cuz Chan was in that JYP basement for 7 years(?). He probably came up with so many songs, along with 3Racha, and now he finally gets to put them into production. Work isn't work if you're having a great time and doing what you love
yeah, some of the songs are even, like, made from some of 3racha's songs, like I Am You'd demo done by 3racha, Hoodie Season was used as Mixtape #5 in Levanter's album, Double Knot was a song by 3racha, but then changed quite a bit for Double Knot comeback and so on. thanks for pointing that out though :)
The mv story is talking about stray kids decide to come back the abandoned place where everyone try to run away. They decided to rebuild their district 9 in such a desolation , so they decorate the rooftop themselves. T hat’s why changbin rapping in front of the simple and crude bathroom and felix has to ride the bike to generate electricity when others watching tv lmao. It means no matter how hard the environment they live they can make through it because they have each other. Because we make stray kids stay. That’s the main purpose of the album.

There’s nothing generic about STRAY KIDS, the amount of talents in this group is insane, their music is so unique but so relatable, u can tell they try hard to be different and social conscious and i like that a lot about them, they are not just another kpop idol, right??

YES! That's why I love them so much. Everything they do is them but different, new. They find new styles that fits them so well. Probably because they write and produce their songs. They are not a concept, like the song says, they are us. Every Stray Kid in the world can find themselves in their songs. Insomnia, My Pace, I am You, District 9 and so on and on. They write and sing about themselves and therefore, us.

I think that the reason that there are some more intense scenes along with some more “boy group type” ones is that it was to promote a sense of domesticity while still in a life that’s not completely safe and perfect. They draw their happiness from each other’s presence while going through an uneasy life, to me it felt almost post-apocalyptic.The way that all those people were running the opposite direction, how they were sleeping together on a trampoline rather then in beds or on mattresses, the way that Felix was using a bicycle to power the television, all of this stuff seemed to me like it was things that they had found or fixed.(not to mention that they were seemingly living on a rooftop.)

To me it feels like they’ve been living in some type of post-apocalyptic/dystopian world since the beginning, hence the strictly regimented society and their realization that they don’t want to be part of that system anymore in District 9/I am NOT, then their journey to freedom and self discovery in My Pace/I am WHO, and now they’ve finally found the refuge (or what they think is refuge) they’ve been searching for this whole time in the I am YOU era

I've only recently become a Stay but as I watched this video, I really began to understand the story Stray Kids tell through their music videos. It's literally the story of stray kids. Kids who no longer have a home they belong to, who live on the streets. They're a bunch of strays who've escaped a life they had no control over and found home in each other. I felt dumb for not realizing that their name Stray Kids was really thematic to their music videos. It's not just the name of their group, but a representation of the people in their videos. The lost, the lonely, the ones that finally found solace among other strays. What really drew me to like Stray Kids was the meaning behind their songs and the emotion they conveyed in their music. I'm glad this new video continues that trend. I'm excited for whatever comes next~!

you were right with seungmin in the second chorus, he's one of the vocals and also a mc at after school club. the one before changbin is lee know (lee minho), he's the main dancer and both rapper and vocalist. he was a background dancer for bts and he and felix were eliminated during the survival show but luckily they got to debut with skz. and the other guy you asked for is i.n (jeongin), he's the maknae and part of the vocal line as well:)

What I love about this mv is that now that they finally escaped and they are allowed to be themselves without anyone controlling them (District 9, My pace) is that they are literally “living” like strays. The fact that they are on a rooftop surrounded by a mess that they made, they only have like one old couch, Felix riding the bicycle to generate energy for the tv, Chan sitting on a drawing of a couch on the floor.
They are living like strays but they are finally happy with each other.
I agree with you when you said this is a melancholic song, that it portrays yearning, and the fact that they used the word "STAY" a lot which is the name of their fandom really gets me. I'm a STAY btw. Love your reaction/studies. More power to you PD.

YESSS! Stray Kids tracks are all masterpieces, they all have some sort of message or inspiration for fans. "Stay together", "let me run along with you", "I found me in you", there are so many lines directed to fans (STAYs) and this track really conveys their emotions and gratitude towards the fans~
what i really love in skz is the diversity in all of their voices. im not talking about any particular groups but theres a lot where i cant even tell who's singing since their voices are all so similar sounding. but with stray kids, every member has such a unique voice that stands out and i love that about them

I hope you do a full album party! I'm pretty proud of this new album, they are constantly changing and they always make their music fun for themselves and the fans. So happy you loved it, it is less intense than their official debut and first comeback but they make up for it in their top tier structures.

He was a back up dancer for BTS before joining JYP and being picked by Chan for the Male Group Project. He had the shortest training period out of all nine of them and was even eliminated in the survival show only to be brought back for the final showcase.
I love your reactions, it's obvious that you know what you are talking about and you are so objective that every time an MV drops I can't wait for your videos. I'm a huge fan of Stray Kids and I'm honestly in love with this comeback, this is so unlike their other songs, but, as you've said, at the same it still has that SKZ signature.
