he's never said this, it's just an assumption by fans. he has stated though that he is not studying english anymore bc he doesn't want to. not saying that this is what you're doing at all, but fans always saying that members who speak the least english are "secretly fluent" (or something of that sort) pushes the agenda that SOME intl stans have that all idols NEED to learn english, when really, if they dont want to, they do not have to. (saying this as a kpop stan of 15 yrs (and a stay since pre-debut) who has seen how fans pressure idols into learning english for their own convenience, again, not saying that's what you're doing.)

Im gonna be that person but when i read it i found it super impressive so im sharing. Lix saying his fave side* dish is Bangchan is actually a word play (joh-ahaneun banchan* in korean), that way he was showing how much his korean improved so he can make this kind of wordplay jokes now.

Chan said in rehearsals they were coming up with various funny answers for the question. Someone suggested Bang Chan, but they were all surprised when that is the answer he went with. One of the many times they have learned not to dare\challenge him 😁

Due to fake fan subtitles, many people at one time or another did not understand something correctly, quite often, not knowing Korean is the cause of fan confusion due to errors or intentional translation changes
