First of all, yes to the above comment, second of all you should do SEVENTEEN and ATEEZ too. The first one is very self produced, music and choreo wise. The group is also so funny and chaotic. They have like 13 memebers but are so in sync when dacing its crazy. They have 3 subunits, a vocal, performance and hiphop group, so they literally cater to everything and their music slaps. The second group are my personal favourites. They've wormed their way into my heart. They are very good performance wise. Like their live stages are a blast to watch. They all have such character when performing. Ans their music for the most part is very dance, hype music, but they do delve I their softer side too
They write and produce all of their own music, it’s incredible 😭 I’ll love stray kids forever, they’re so iconic even beyond their music. You’ll love this journey! Enjoy 🙌🏼

Compositions, lyrics, sound production, everything! they are truly one of a kind in the industry with how involved they are in their craft. you can tell they do it for the love, not the fame. (their fame is just a lucky bonus hahaha). In fact, before they got to debut as a group, Bang Chan - the leader - and the two rappers of the group, HAN and Changbin, had their own underground rap group (called 3RACHA, with is now their producing unit). They performed whatever small gigs they could and released their music on soundcloud and youtube. they truly started from nothing and made it up to the TOP of 4th gen groups. Self-made kings pioneering their own genre, leading 4th gen. Their individual life stories and story as a whole group is truly inspiring. They have even been awarded by the Korean Prime Minister for all they've done! Becoming the first 4th gen group to accomplish something this big - Korea Popular Culture and Arts Awards. They have also become the only 4th gen group to win VMA's Best Kpop award.

also they all can do EVERYTHING. 8 rappers 8 singers 8 dancers. there are no official positions anymore. they all are aces fr!

Never worry about needing to go back and watch something again. STAYs understand -- we all do it. It's so much fun to watch baby STAYs fall in love with them. You're in for a heck of a ride. I highly recommend watching their survival show, which is where JYP let Bang Chan hand pick his group members from the trainees, and they worked their butts off for the right to debut as a full group. It's an emotional roller coaster, and gives you even more insight as to where their inspiration and fighting spirit comes from. I hope you have so much fun learning about them! The ‘hellevator’ thing is because they are equating their trainee lives to hell. Everyone saying they wouldn’t make it, criticizing them if they weren’t perfect, and all the sleepless nights and stress it caused them until they found one another and were able to debut ❣️

@@WorldofSK On top of that, they were fighting desperately to stay together. The CEO was wanting to eliminate members and they really cared about debuting altogether. The song was made during their survival show program. The theme of the song isn't that they're riding the elevator to Hell, but rather out of Hell (trying to reach upwards)

@WorldofSK They have even produced for other artists, for example, a japanese girl group under the same company as them called Niziu. 3racha worked on a song called paradise for them, there's a behind the scenes vid of the recording process. Bangchan is also there helping with that (complimenting non-stop aswell😭)
Another fun fact in the background of the backdoor mv, some of the girls in the white hoodie are actually niziu members aswell
Not only do they write their own lyrics, but they also produce the tracks too! The leader, Chan writes the tracks for most of their songs and has even written some during some of the lives he did. That is extremely rare in the k-pop industry!

Stray Kids were in Kingdom which was a competition between 6 Kpop groups and they did a mash-up of Blackpink’s DUDUDU. And they sang live too. It’s amazing! ❤️❤️❤️

I agree that this was a epic first view reaction to Stray Kids I have seen in a while, with a "close my eyes and pick the highest view" routine. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was sure fun. I also saw that most of the questions she asked was taken care of & any other questions can be covered at a later time. Hopefully there will be a part 2 to Ep. #3 Stray Kids.

They're a self-producing group as you can see and have a ton of bangers but they have other styles of music in their catalog which are amazing as well. JK in BTS and Bangchan in SKZ are born in the same year and are good friends. They sometimes hang out and eat together. Once you get into more of their music you will notice all members can rap and sing. Stray Kids have done a live performance mashup of Gods Menu and BlackPink D4 called God's DuDdu Du and it's one of the greatest performances I have witnessed. Subscribing for more Stray Kids!

Bang Chan (their leader), Changbin, and Han (the two realllly good rappers) write their songs and compose the music. Each of them is credited with well over 100 songs each and they're members of KOMCA (Korean Music Copyright Association). I think Chan does most of the beats and they all write lyrics. They also produce the recording sessions (with some help) and you can see behind the scenes videos with the three members coaching the SKZ members in the recording studio. They have control over all their music. And they're all so young! So much talent. So much talent in these boys.
Straykids is literally so talented like the first time I ever listened to them i cried for 30 minutes cuz they are so fricking talented and why the hell didn't I discover them before! They are also a self produced group. They have three sub-unites, 3racha the rappers and producers, danceracha the dancers and choreographers and finally vocalracha the vocalists. They are hella talented aren't they?!

Me tooo! I’ve discovered them in August from the video where Felix and Hyunjin dance The Eve song, from the fun meeting. Then I watched Gods Menu and it was over for me 😂🙈 now I’m a baby Stay and I can’t understand how I didn’t saw them before 😭😭😭
Stray Kids are a fire group, they sing, dance, rap, and produce. Every time you commented on the genius of their songcrafting and production - I was nodding my head in agreement. Most of their music is created by their in-house production sub-unit, 3Racha (Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han), but at this point ALL of the 8 members have songwriting credits. I hope you will find more of their music to enjoy - a new comback is happening next month (11/10/23). They give their fans a ridiculous amount of content - and all top tier. It was delightful watching you enjoy them.
You should definitely react to Thunderous, Domino, Cheese, Super Bowl and Dance Practices, and guide will really help you get to know the members more (you’ll be quite surprised) 🤭

Bangchan and Felix are the Aussie line in skz
Han grew up in Malaysia and almost got eaten by a crocodile there 😭 (but he is still Korean)
Hyunjin lived in Las Vegas for a short while and attended Kindergarten there
Lee Know used to be a backup dancer for BTS and went on tour with them!
There used to be 9 members in the group, but one left due to personal reasons in October, 2019
Skz has 3 units; 3racha ( producing team of skz with bangchan, Han, changbin ), DanceRacha ( dancing unit; Felix, Leeknow, Hyunjin ) and VocalRacha ( seungmin, I.N )

When they first debuted, people called them JYP’s biggest flop, but now they proved their haters wrong!
Skz mentioned that they found they found their style of music while creating God’s Menu, that’s why the music style sorta changed

Lee Know and Felix almost didn’t debut, Jyp gave them 1 more chance and they got back in!

I’m a old kpop stan that got into straykids recently 😭 they have the kpop standard I learn for
My favorite Stray Kids songs: Thunderous, Venom, Voices, God's Menu, Superboard, S Class, Miroh, Cheese. But nearly all their songs are great. Very talented from the writing/production team of 3Racha, to the visually incredible DanceRacha, to the wow VocalRacha...All are getting better and better.
Sometimes there is a solo effort worth watching like when HyunJin dances to Playing with Fire. omg. Or the cutest Lee Know and Han singing together Want So Bad. Or Seungmin teaming up with JongHo of Ateez and EunKwang of BTOB to sing an out of this world Love Poem.

They write and self produce. Hellevator is their predebut song. Miroh is a banger at concerts. Gods Menu kicked off their trajectory. They’ve stayed true to their own style the whole way and often write about this as is Gods Menu, Super Bowl, SClass (last Teo songs off their last album in June). Their upcoming comeback album in November, Rock Star, is looking to continue that journey. You’ve found them at a great time!

In regards to ages in hellavator. Which was done in late 2017 predebut. (International ages) Bang Chan (leader) and Woojin (left in 2019) were 20, Lee Know was 19, Changbin was 18, Hyunjin, Han,Felix,Seungmin were 17 and I.n was 16. And even then Chan, Changbin and Han were writing and producing the music for the group and releasing rap songs on SoundCloud outside of the K-pop industry. 3racha are rappers who chose the K-pop and idol industry rather than idols who take the rap role because their group needed it.
Hyunjin is now global ambassador for Versace - the first Korean, only the 8th ever - Donatella Versace loves him and they provide customized versions of their clothing for him to wear on stage.
Felix is now house ambassador of Louis Vuitton. It’s equivalent to global ambassador. He’s been called an icon by a couple fashion magazines.
Stray kids were recently named next generation leaders by Time Magazine.
They are also social butterflies of K-pop and the group is basically friends with the entire industry. Bang Chan especially.

Bang Chan, Changbin and Han Jisung are the top 3 most credited lyrical artists in kpop. They were writing and producing music as the sub unit 3racha even before they debuted as Stray Kids with the others. They even produced a lot of their earlier music videos. Their music reflects alot of what their dealing with at the time too, when Woojin left they really struggled emotionally as they were all really close. If you start looking into them be prepared for an emotional rollercoaster.
43:04 their next album (nov 10th) is called rock-star and the title track is gonna have a rock version!!
also in recent concerts they have performed rock versions of lots of their newer songs

As you mention Black Pink….SKZ did a mashup of this song and Ddu Du Ddu Du live on a show called Kingdom. It will blow your mind. I’d watch ALL of their performances from that show. Them and Ateez killed it on that show! Actually, SKZ just realized their new trailer for they next album comeback called
metaverse. I think they bring the BEST comeback trailers. My favorites are for NoEasy and Orddinary 🤗❤️. All their title are a play on words.

Just want to add that Korea is very Confucian in their culture (even more than China, where Confucius was from). So in Korea, your only real peers are those born the same year as yourself. That’s why I.N laments the fact that no one else in SKZ was born in his year, and why Bang Chan is so “OLD.”

If you like dancing you can try searching their dance practice videos. Almost all their songs have dance practice versions, where they only dance & showing the full choreo, while in MVs they mostly focusing on the story plot.
I like that you also pay attention to the lyrics. Stray Kids' lyrics are always full of meanings. On their earlier years the lyrics are mostly about growing up, finding their way, finding themselves, etc. Along the way, as they matured their musics & lyrics matured as well, untill they become the Stray Kids that you see now.
One thing you should know, is that Stray Kids musics are not what people considered as typical kpop. They even received alot of hate (still until now) because their musics are too experimental, too noisy, too different from kpop norm. Some of their songs are made as response of these haters, like Cheese & Thunderous. God's Menu MV show them on a construction site, mocking haters that said their musics as construction musics (cause it's so loud). The latest would be Topline, stating all those haters' neck must be stiff, as they can only looking up to Stray Kids from below.

Stray Kids have full artistic control on their work. 3 members do most of the writing and prodcution. They collaborate with some of the best producers in the industry, getting fresh ideas from all over. Most of those amazing beats come from the leader, Bang Chan.
For more dancing, you have to check out the dance practices. They are not really practicing, it's just the full choreo in practice clothes in a studio. Kpop groups started doing those for fans who wanted to practice the dances. The dance practice for Domino is fire, and there is no real MV for that song so that's a great one to start with. Easy is a great one from about 3 years ago. Another good one to a more melodic song is Levanter, the group choreography for that is gorgeous. Just make sure that you get a regular dance practice, if it says Love Stay or Vampire version or is a costume version, then it is for fun, and they'll be doing things like trying to see how many heart signs they can fit into the practice, or dancing in weird costumes. Those are hilarious, but not really about the dancing. All their title tracks have dance practice videos, and they usually have them for several of their B sides. I think they have them for almost all the videos you watched, except maybe Mirror (there is one for Miroh). Also check them out on Studio Choom, which is dedicated to kpop dancing, they perform most of their title song dances there. "Pretty" member Hyunjin did a solo dance cover on Studio Choom that is legendary, look up Hyunjin Studio Choom Artist of the Month.
You might like to check out their live vocals, they've done a series on First Take, literally they go to a Japanese studio, perform on mic's and the first take, live on camera, is what we see--they get one chance. No dancing but really proves they can actually sing without special aids. First Take versions of Slump, Scars and Mixtape: OH, and then they did some more recently such as Case 143. For more of deep voiced Felix' voice, check out his solo, Deep End. It's in English (Felix grew up in Australia and English is his first language), it uses his voice from ocean deep to Everest top falsetto. It's a post-break up ballad.
Their early videos were fairly low budget--for a brand new group, the company is not necessarily going to invest a whole lot. God's Menu was state of the art, they worked with one of the best video directors in kpop. He's worked with them several times since. They got that because they really broke through with Miroh, won a lot of awards and got more attention, so the company really put some money behind them. Back Door is from the same album as God's Menu. It has a wonderful dance practice, and for that one, the Uniform version is pretty great as well as the regular one.

He always encourages Stays to stay away from dieting and just focus on exercise(and so do the others its really refreshing tbh). About the guy who's rapping at 4:30 , it was his first time rapping ever. He originally joined as the main dancer and had some vocal training by the time ‘Hellevator’ was made and released. Before tge official release, the company told them to divide the rap verse and he was given that verse. When I first listened to it a few years back, I was amazed at how good he was at it! I had totally forgotten that it was his first time 😭

Glad you check Stray Kids out they. They are previously 9 members and now 8, one member left for personal reasons. They are my ultimate fave kpop group. I listen to other kpop groups here and there but only Stray Kids captured my interest. They are not only great at singing, dancing and rapping but they write, composed and produced most of their songs as well with help of some producers but most it is them who do it which is rare in kpop groups. I also love their personalities and how genuinely close they are with each other. Another thing I love about Stray Kids is they are great live performers and I love watching them perform, they always give their 100%. I honestly enjoyed your reaction. ahhh this was such an entertaining hour! Just to answer a few questions, lee know was a backup dancer of BTS, and the reason why they call BTS their seniors is because of the age/hierarchy system in korea. Since bts debuted before them, they have to talk about them politely and they always have to say "seniors" at the end of bts. If you have the chance, I would highly recommend the groups Seventeen and Treasure! For svt, I recommend: fear, fearless, adore u, hot, hit, super, rock with you, getting closer and homerun! For treasure I recommend: Mmm, Boy, I love you, bona bona, their 2022 mama performance, jikjin, and move! Enjoy!
