I see a lot of comments of people saying, "oh it's just a fish" . I guess some people will just never be able to understand the personal connection someone can have with a fish. People don't realize how intelligent fish can actually be. Rest in peace buddy.

Just hearing his voice makes my heart break, and I've only watched 33 seconds. After 5 years the fish is family. He tried so hard to save him. When my roommate forgot to feed my fish while I was in hospital the other fish in the tank turned on the smallest Sage and ate her fins. I found her at the bottom almost unable to swim. I put her in a clear cup with holes like he did his fish, then put slime coat in every day. Lots of tears, prayers and lost sleep but she pulled through. Got teased a bit by the guy who forgot to feed them. Told "She's only a fish. Flush her and move on" They are not just fish. They have personalities. They get moody. They show affection. Tiny goldfish think they are mighty Orcas. I don't even want to think of loosing my 4 fish friends. So, so sorry you lost your buddy.
I'm so sorry for your loss... I completely understand where your coming from.. I had a Rottweiler.. I know it's not a fish, but getting back into the hobby now.. He was 14 years old, playing with all my kid's, including my newest son.. And was the best friend that I always wanted.. Unfortunately it was his time, and he passed.. But I have to say, with all of the following, and friends and family, that have probably watched this.. Know exactly where your coming from... I was happy to see you gave him a proper burial, and thank you for that.. You have no idea, to us pet owners, how much that means to us.. And to do it live.. Was a great introduction to many pet owners out there, please do the favor and treat all your pet's, like they are truly family.. Because they are!!! Again, so sorry... Keeping my fingers crossed, that your doing well now, and to keep on fishing...
It's the last late night of my summer vacation and here I am, blubbering over a fish that died a year ago at 5 AM. How the hell did I get here? ;-; But man, if you ever read this, my heart goes out to you. Losing pets is hard, especially when you know you did everything you could but they still don't make it. Just keep in mind that this was not your fault at all, and you did an amazing job trying to help him. :'(
This is super sad. I know I will never have room to dedicate to a fish this size, so I lived vicariously through Joey. It was one of the mainstays of the channel. Really sorry to see this outcome, I thought that huge tank was going to be great for him.
I know how it feels. I almost stopped fish keeping in the past due to problems like this. But, I like my fish too much. I like the hobby too much. I have a catfish named Scar. Scar recently got over what I assume what a swim bladder injury. When I found him at the bottom of my tank, I was devastated. He was laying there with his eyes clouded over. I thought for sure that he was dead. It took him 13 days of swimming upside down and twirling to recover. Freak accidents happen when you keep fish. Some of them you can fix...and some of them you can't. Scar was lucky to have survived. In his disorientation, he had scraped large amounts of tissue off of his fins and back. I hope you don't feel like this was your fault. These things happen (You have been doing this for a long time and you know that). I believe that you did everything you could have done for Buddy. You were there for buddy during his last few days. RIP Buddy.

Im really sorry about Buddy, Joey. He was the most beautiful creature I have ever seen. He wasn't just a fish, he was a pet, a friend, a life companion. I like to think he passed away with the knowledge that you cared about his life like nobody else would ever be able to. He loves you and he has moved on to a better life where he can be happy and look down on his dad and on frank and know you both will accept the loss and will not be hindered by it, but instead use his memory to continue to make your life's better. Wow I’m actually crying. I’ve never cried for a fish before. Buddy’s in a better place now and is probably swimming in a vast sea with many other fish.
I'm here nearly two years later, but seeing someone care so much for pets that are notoriously uncared for and treated more like decorations/toys than living animals, well, it's uplifting. I'm sorry for your loss, but thank you for giving him such a wonderful life.
People say it's just a fish get over it but,when u have such a strong bond with it it's like loosing a member of your family so please pay respect to the fish :( RIP
As a fish lover I understand your pain. I've lost many of my friends throughout this hobby. It's never easy and I know this one truly hurts. Stay strong and move on. Dedicate the rest of your work to him. Show the rest of your fish the awesome love you showed Buddy!
I’m so sorry for your loss. Watching this really took me back to when we had to let our dogs go. The first got really sick very suddenly and when my parents got to the vet there was nothing they could do but you know “put him to rest”. I was very small and it was a shock to just loose him like that. The dog after that got some health problems that got really bad after a few years. We tried basically everything and had tried for years until we came to the point where we had to make the choice to get him another operation that would help him but only for a while, then it would come back again, or to put him to rest too. I don’t regret anything. We couldn’t let him suffer anymore, and I was with him the whole time while he past. Watching your pets being sick or injured and not being able to help them anymore is absolutely horrible, no matter if it’s a dog or a fish, they are family. I didn’t know Buddy, I got here today but when he was buried I cried and one can really see how much you cared for him. Rest in peace Buddy, you will be missed ❤️❤️

Tho a few years ago now being a newcomer to the fish hobbyist and seeing what happened here i had to pass on my condolences from a Australia. My hart goes out to you my friend i can imagine how hard that must of been to deal with, your commitment throughout that heart wrenching experience to still go out of your way to involve and help people that may go through or gone through something similar is commendable and shows your true character love your passion and the information you share through your videos are inspiring and second to none since taking an interest in the fish hobbyist your always my go to guy when i need to figure something out always great advice and tips just had to tell you how much your appreciated all the best.
that guy fish do feel pain but not nearly as much as humans as they have less pain receptors. Dolphins actually use this to there advantage when hunting for tuna. They make the tuna go so fast it hurts it self, and then they have an easy catch.
I don't care what anyone says these fish are just like your pet dog or cat this isn't even my fish and I shed a tear watching this. And this guy seems so passionate about his fish and how much he cares makes my heart go out to him and his fish that has passed the fact that he took time to dig a hole to burry his fish shoes the compassion this guy has is incredible. Buddy would love for you to save another fishes life and give them the home they deserve.

They can make these wonderful tanks and scape them beautifully, and when doing that you dont think that 'ooh, iv made this beautiful tank but i wont include wood in case a fish jumps out of the water and lands on it in such a way that it gets injured'. It doesnt go through your mind at all.
Hey I totally feel for you. I have had 20+ fish ever since we moved to our new house. And 2 dogs who one has passed away only a few years ago. About 5 fish had passed since and now that I have just turned 11 years old now, I really understand what it is you are going through. I can realte so much because ever since we got our first fish, I have always named them and it isn't something to be ashamed of, really. I live in a neighborhood who has a lot of pets just like me and my family. We've recently lost a very nice and old shiba named Mishka and a very affectionate and sweet cat that one of our neighbors owned. But, man I totally get what you are going through, especially after losing one of your buddy in the entire world. Also, havingnthe guts to announce this to millions of people takes guts bro... It's really sad how disrespectful some of these comments are. Just because Buddy is a fish doesn't make him any less of a pet. It's a very hard loss to have. He's not food or just a fish. He was a pet; a family member.
Agreed. When you invest so much time into caring for another living creature; especially one you've raised since it was a baby it's more than just a fish or animal. It's your pet, which ultimately makes it part of your family.
Point50Paul even small fish have personalities, my dwarf gourami gets so excited when he sees me and I know it's not just about food either. I can feed him walk by and he'll follow me as I walk. If I put my finger in the tank he'll rub himself up against me. I just think people underestimate a fish's intelligence.
JulieNicole24 That's so cute! My guppies do the same thing, they're like quarter sized puppies. Any time I stick my hand into the tank they're trying to swim into it. Makes it kinda hard to clean the tank with a gravel cleaner, but man fish are smarter than they look and are each unique no matter the size or species.

Miguel Velez my cat died he was older than me and i was hart broken and reacted the same as this guy i buried him and tried to cry as little as possible but somtimes i had this outbursts i started crying en i started punching walls i get this man so bad i to want my best friend back
I’m coming back here so I can cry with him. My favorite Corydoras Catfish makes Nugget just passed away. He had a lot of fungus and I moved him into my quarantine tank. By the first day I noticed he was acting weird. The second day he was unresponsive. I’m still crying because he was the only different one (a sterbi. I took pity because he was the only one in his tank.) living with my three false Julii’s. I was against the idea of doing saltwater dips as Corydora’s are very sensitive to salt water. I got the most expensive and nice medication I could, it still didn’t help. I have a feeling he developed this due to when I got him his tail was split in half, and when I first noticed any discoloration I had assumed that it was just a normal sterbi thing, I know better now. I feel so guilty and upset, but i makes me feel better knowing others feel the same way as I can. I know he was just a small Corydoras but I loved him.
Omg I know y'all are joking but can you with the fry pan jokes?? I'm not a dog or cat person. I'm a fish person, and in my experience, fish do have personalities, from small bettas to big arowanas. Every fish is different. So for people in the aquarium hobby who have had fish for a long time, grow a bond with the fish. Just like with dogs,cats,birds,etc. So when y'all say 'oh darn guess it's time to heat up the pan' that's like saying when your beloved pet dies, to cook and eat it. Losing a fish is very hard, and for Joey to put this on the internet is harder, especially when you're telling him to eat his beloved pet.
Sorry to see you lose a "buddy" like that. I actually lost my Arrowana in a similar way, he just inexplicably jumped up smashing the aquarium cover. 48 hours later he died... Not much different from how your "buddy" died. What people don't realize is that it takes years for an Arrowana to grow to that size, and over the years, we bond with him... As we feed him, as he "communicates" with us by following us with his eyes... Swimming towards us when we beckon... Sincerely sorry for ur loss.. I know this is 2 years ago, but a loss is a loss...

So i found your youtube channel just scrolling across late at night and my gosh my heart dropped.. i had 4 glow fish (they arent expected to live long due to being walmart fish) i tried to give them a better life and make them feel better and when one died it broke my heart. No matter the size of the fish they swim into your heart. My deep condolences for the loss of your buddy... seeing he swam to you and wanted help touched my heart so much.. fish are amazing and wonderful creatures that can amaze anyone who took the time to care and love them. And you show just that much care for them and im so truly happy to see you love your water buddies ❤

Stumbled across your channel by accident tonight. I’m sorry for your loss. As others have said, I don’t think non fish keepers understand the bond. I only have 2 gold fish tanks (1 fish in total), nothing exotic. The youngest fish I about 5yo the oldest two fish are 10 years old. They swim to the corner of the tank when I get up in the morning and some swim through my fingers while working in the tank. I really hate it when we lose one and I feel sad, luckily we haven’t lost a fish in the last 4 years. Keep up the great work. I’ll look forward to working my way through your back catalogue.

When I lost my male Betta it was the worst day of my life he was my favorite fish ever and before that I had hundreds of fish, he was special he followed me across his tank,did flips when I moved my fingers and he lived for 2 years and when he died I couldn't bare it, I fell on the floor and started crying and when I think about him my eyes get teary
I commented on the last video also didn’t realize that this video was posted 5 years ago. I am sorry for your loss you had him for so long and you knew him. For those who are being ridiculous and trying to down this man with “oh it’s just a fish” yes he is just a fish but a fish with meaning in this man’s life. His family pet. Like a dog or cat or bird or wherever other animals people keep as pets. I feel his pain. At least his fish was big enough to be able to provide a proper burial all of mine that passed got eaten by snails before I had the chance to remove em. But look at it this way, he was close to buddy like the average person is to their pets so it’s understandable that he gets emotional over this “just a fish” so have more respect please cause if you look at it that way then you should look at your own pet the same way.

I know how you feel. I lost a goldfish that was very important to me. He was given to me by my older brother from a tank of at least 20 goldfish. I named my goldfish Fireball. I had him for about 5 years. I loved him so much! I would talk to him, and sing for him, and I would try to teach him tricks. One day we had just cleaned his tank and he sunk to the bottom of his new tank. I knew this was it. I cried so hard and talked to him while he was dying. He was the only fish in the tank, so I got a fish sticker and stuck it on his tank right next to him so that he wouldn't feel lonely. I promised him I would give him a good funeral. I went to bed and when I woke up... my little buddy was gone. I took him out of his tank and put him in an empty box. I got my Dad to help bury Fireball in the backyard. I visit his grave occasionaly and cry sometimes. Fireball's spirit visits me sometimes. Most times I can't see him but I can feel him there with me. I know that he is safe in heaven and that we will meet again someday. Sorry if this was really long but I jyst had to get the full story out there. Sorry for your loss man. Please know that you are not alone and that millions of others have lost pets too. You and Buddy will meet again too one day. Who knows, maybe Fireball and Buddy are friends in heaven right now?

I'm glad you buried Buddy instead of throwing him in the trash like so many other people would. It shows that you cared for him and thought of him as a friend and not something that can be replaced. I see so many comments making jokes or not caring about Buddy's death and all because he's a fish which is so messed up.

Damn, I just got into this hobby roughly 6 months ago... all because of a Betta fish..(who the kids named Xavier) from that 1 gallon tank to 5 others (10's & 20's gall). I got so close to that damned thing, he'd come up and greet me and not just for food. He was my first to get sick, and I was so new to this I didnt know what to do (i tried remedies too late). I get your pain man, I still miss the lil thing. One a side note, Ive learned that when you put that much effort into one, versus the clutch, you WILL get attached, personally, financially, emotionally, because your assuming the responsibility of a creatures existence. I still care for the others, but Its a little diffused because Im caring for a community so i can remain a little distant. Then you have moments like yesterday.... In my fry tank, I inadvertently squished a molly. All of 6mm long... and it broke my heart. I couldnt sleep about it last night and had to 'confess' to the kids this morning.
It all went so fast... i almost never cry but this broke me, buddy will always live in our hearts. He who gets rememberd, is he who is not dead. (I translated it so it could be a bit weired sounding sorry)
CrownGameQuality it's not just a fish, it's his fish, his buddy, his friend. He spent 5 years with him and letting him go it's hard. It doesn't matter if it was an ant or cockroach if I had spend so much years with it and have learned to love it and have had great laugh and smiles with it, it would've hurt if it died. People like you don't understand and for you it can be just a simple fish but we the animal lovers everything counts even if it's just a fish we come accustomed to them and we make them part of our families and lives. So please understand it wasn't just a fish it was his buddy that died.

I agree with you, idk how people can be so insensitive with someone's feelings. I told my fianceé that Joey's arrowana died and she was sad. Then she texted me a couple of minutes later and said one of our koi also died.
Jack Aioria I agree with both of you. My SO knows how ingot the fish hobby I am and he's heard if Joey and his amazing channel through me. I've been sharing this incident with him for the last few days. We were on a road trip and had to stop for the baby so I checked TH-cam to find this. Even he understood how sad the loss of this fish is for not only Joey but for his followers as well. It's such a shame and was a hard struggle watching such a powerful and beloved animal fade away to soon

It's the last late night of my summer vacation and here I am, blubbering over a fish that died a year ago at 5 AM. How the hell did I get here? ;-;
But man, if you ever read this, my heart goes out to you. Losing pets is hard, especially when you know you did everything you could but they still don't make it. Just keep in mind that this was not your fault at all, and you did an amazing job trying to help him. :'(

This is super sad. I know I will never have room to dedicate to a fish this size, so I lived vicariously through Joey. It was one of the mainstays of the channel. Really sorry to see this outcome, I thought that huge tank was going to be great for him.
I know how it feels. I almost stopped fish keeping in the past due to problems like this. But, I like my fish too much. I like the hobby too much. I have a catfish named Scar. Scar recently got over what I assume what a swim bladder injury. When I found him at the bottom of my tank, I was devastated. He was laying there with his eyes clouded over. I thought for sure that he was dead. It took him 13 days of swimming upside down and twirling to recover. Freak accidents happen when you keep fish. Some of them you can fix...and some of them you can't. Scar was lucky to have survived. In his disorientation, he had scraped large amounts of tissue off of his fins and back. I hope you don't feel like this was your fault. These things happen (You have been doing this for a long time and you know that). I believe that you did everything you could have done for Buddy. You were there for buddy during his last few days. RIP Buddy.

I'm here nearly two years later, but seeing someone care so much for pets that are notoriously uncared for and treated more like decorations/toys than living animals, well, it's uplifting. I'm sorry for your loss, but thank you for giving him such a wonderful life.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Watching this really took me back to when we had to let our dogs go. The first got really sick very suddenly and when my parents got to the vet there was nothing they could do but you know “put him to rest”. I was very small and it was a shock to just loose him like that. The dog after that got some health problems that got really bad after a few years. We tried basically everything and had tried for years until we came to the point where we had to make the choice to get him another operation that would help him but only for a while, then it would come back again, or to put him to rest too. I don’t regret anything. We couldn’t let him suffer anymore, and I was with him the whole time while he past. Watching your pets being sick or injured and not being able to help them anymore is absolutely horrible, no matter if it’s a dog or a fish, they are family. I didn’t know Buddy, I got here today but when he was buried I cried and one can really see how much you cared for him. Rest in peace Buddy, you will be missed ❤️❤️

Tho a few years ago now being a newcomer to the fish hobbyist and seeing what happened here i had to pass on my condolences from a Australia. My hart goes out to you my friend i can imagine how hard that must of been to deal with, your commitment throughout that heart wrenching experience to still go out of your way to involve and help people that may go through or gone through something similar is commendable and shows your true character love your passion and the information you share through your videos are inspiring and second to none since taking an interest in the fish hobbyist your always my go to guy when i need to figure something out always great advice and tips just had to tell you how much your appreciated all the best.

that guy fish do feel pain but not nearly as much as humans as they have less pain receptors. Dolphins actually use this to there advantage when hunting for tuna. They make the tuna go so fast it hurts it self, and then they have an easy catch.
I don't care what anyone says these fish are just like your pet dog or cat this isn't even my fish and I shed a tear watching this. And this guy seems so passionate about his fish and how much he cares makes my heart go out to him and his fish that has passed the fact that he took time to dig a hole to burry his fish shoes the compassion this guy has is incredible. Buddy would love for you to save another fishes life and give them the home they deserve.

Hey I totally feel for you. I have had 20+ fish ever since we moved to our new house. And 2 dogs who one has passed away only a few years ago. About 5 fish had passed since and now that I have just turned 11 years old now, I really understand what it is you are going through. I can realte so much because ever since we got our first fish, I have always named them and it isn't something to be ashamed of, really. I live in a neighborhood who has a lot of pets just like me and my family. We've recently lost a very nice and old shiba named Mishka and a very affectionate and sweet cat that one of our neighbors owned. But, man I totally get what you are going through, especially after losing one of your buddy in the entire world. Also, havingnthe guts to announce this to millions of people takes guts bro... Point50Paul even small fish have personalities, my dwarf gourami gets so excited when he sees me and I know it's not just about food either. I can feed him walk by and he'll follow me as I walk. If I put my finger in the tank he'll rub himself up against me. I just think people underestimate a fish's intelligence.
JulieNicole24 That's so cute! My guppies do the same thing, they're like quarter sized puppies. Any time I stick my hand into the tank they're trying to swim into it. Makes it kinda hard to clean the tank with a gravel cleaner, but man fish are smarter than they look and are each unique no matter the size or species.

I’m coming back here so I can cry with him. My favorite Corydoras Catfish makes Nugget just passed away. He had a lot of fungus and I moved him into my quarantine tank. By the first day I noticed he was acting weird. The second day he was unresponsive. I’m still crying because he was the only different one (a sterbi. I took pity because he was the only one in his tank.) living with my three false Julii’s. I was against the idea of doing saltwater dips as Corydora’s are very sensitive to salt water. I got the most expensive and nice medication I could, it still didn’t help. I have a feeling he developed this due to when I got him his tail was split in half, and when I first noticed any discoloration I had assumed that it was just a normal sterbi thing, I know better now. I feel so guilty and upset, but i makes me feel better knowing others feel the same way as I can. I know he was just a small Corydoras but I loved him.
Omg I know y'all are joking but can you with the fry pan jokes?? I'm not a dog or cat person. I'm a fish person, and in my experience, fish do have personalities, from small bettas to big arowanas. Every fish is different. So for people in the aquarium hobby who have had fish for a long time, grow a bond with the fish. Just like with dogs,cats,birds,etc. So when y'all say 'oh darn guess it's time to heat up the pan' that's like saying when your beloved pet dies, to cook and eat it. Losing a fish is very hard, and for Joey to put this on the internet is harder, especially when you're telling him to eat his beloved pet.

Sorry to see you lose a "buddy" like that. I actually lost my Arrowana in a similar way, he just inexplicably jumped up smashing the aquarium cover. 48 hours later he died... Not much different from how your "buddy" died. What people don't realize is that it takes years for an Arrowana to grow to that size, and over the years, we bond with him... As we feed him, as he "communicates" with us by following us with his eyes... Swimming towards us when we beckon... Sincerely sorry for ur loss.. I know this is 2 years ago, but a loss is a loss...

So i found your youtube channel just scrolling across late at night and my gosh my heart dropped.. i had 4 glow fish (they arent expected to live long due to being walmart fish) i tried to give them a better life and make them feel better and when one died it broke my heart. No matter the size of the fish they swim into your heart. My deep condolences for the loss of your buddy... seeing he swam to you and wanted help touched my heart so much.. fish are amazing and wonderful creatures that can amaze anyone who took the time to care and love them. I’m sorry for your loss. As others have said, I don’t think non fish keepers understand the bond. I only have 2 gold fish tanks (1 fish in total), nothing exotic. The youngest fish I about 5yo the oldest two fish are 10 years old. They swim to the corner of the tank when I get up in the morning and some swim through my fingers while working in the tank. I really hate it when we lose one and I feel sad, luckily we haven’t lost a fish in the last 4 years. Keep up the great work. I’ll look forward to working my way through your back catalogue.

When I lost my male Betta it was the worst day of my life he was my favorite fish ever and before that I had hundreds of fish, he was special he followed me across his tank,did flips when I moved my fingers and he lived for 2 years and when he died I couldn't bare it, I fell on the floor and started crying and when I think about him my eyes get teary

I commented on the last video also didn’t realize that this video was posted 5 years ago. I am sorry for your loss you had him for so long and you knew him. For those who are being ridiculous and trying to down this man with “oh it’s just a fish” yes he is just a fish but a fish with meaning in this man’s life. His family pet. Like a dog or cat or bird or wherever other animals people keep as pets. I feel his pain. At least his fish was big enough to be able to provide a proper burial all of mine that passed got eaten by snails before I had the chance to remove em. But look at it this way, he was close to buddy like the average person is to their pets so it’s understandable that he gets emotional over this “just a fish” so have more respect please cause if you look at it that way then you should look at your own pet the same way.

I know how you feel. I lost a goldfish that was very important to me. He was given to me by my older brother from a tank of at least 20 goldfish. I named my goldfish Fireball. I had him for about 5 years. I loved him so much! I would talk to him, and sing for him, and I would try to teach him tricks. One day we had just cleaned his tank and he sunk to the bottom of his new tank. I knew this was it. I cried so hard and talked to him while he was dying. He was the only fish in the tank, so I got a fish sticker and stuck it on his tank right next to him so that he wouldn't feel lonely. I promised him I would give him a good funeral. I went to bed and when I woke up... my little buddy was gone. I took him out of his tank and put him in an empty box. I got my Dad to help bury Fireball in the backyard. I visit his grave occasionaly and cry sometimes. Fireball's spirit visits me sometimes. Most times I can't see him but I can feel him there with me. I know that he is safe in heaven and that we will meet again someday. Sorry if this was really long but I jyst had to get the full story out there. Sorry for your loss man. Please know that you are not alone and that millions of others have lost pets too. You and Buddy will meet again too one day. Who knows, maybe Fireball and Buddy are friends in heaven right now?

this short series describing this particular event has surprised me to sat the least. I'm very sorry that you lost your buddy, and i never thought that I'd end up crying over someone else's fish. it's easy to tell that you loved him.
I'm glad you buried Buddy instead of throwing him in the trash like so many other people would. It shows that you cared for him and thought of him as a friend and not something that can be replaced. I see so many comments making jokes or not caring about Buddy's death and all because he's a fish which is so messed up.

Damn, I just got into this hobby roughly 6 months ago... all because of a Betta fish..(who the kids named Xavier) from that 1 gallon tank to 5 others (10's & 20's gall). I got so close to that damned thing, he'd come up and greet me and not just for food. He was my first to get sick, and I was so new to this I didnt know what to do (i tried remedies too late). I get your pain man, I still miss the lil thing. One a side note, Ive learned that when you put that much effort into one, versus the clutch, you WILL get attached, personally, financially, emotionally, because your assuming the responsibility of a creatures existence. I still care for the others, but Its a little diffused because Im caring for a community so i can remain a little distant. Then you have moments like yesterday.... In my fry tank, I inadvertently squished a molly. All of 6mm long... and it broke my heart. I couldnt sleep about it last night and had to 'confess' to the kids this morning.
It all went so fast... i almost never cry but this broke me, buddy will always live in our hearts. He who gets rememberd, is he who is not dead. (I translated it so it could be a bit weired sounding sorry)

CrownGameQuality it's not just a fish, it's his fish, his buddy, his friend. He spent 5 years with him and letting him go it's hard. It doesn't matter if it was an ant or cockroach if I had spend so much years with it and have learned to love it and have had great laugh and smiles with it, it would've hurt if it died. People like you don't understand and for you it can be just a simple fish but we the animal lovers everything counts even if it's just a fish we come accustomed to them and we make them part of our families and lives. So please understand it wasn't just a fish it was his buddy that died.

Sorry you couldn't save him Joey. I've been looking at some of your videos here and there for a while now and finally decided to subscribe. I know how tough it is to lose any fish, but especially the ones that you can actually interact with like that. No question he was coming back to you while he was still in the tank and you were holding him. He was one of the special ones. Sorry for your loss.

I agree with you, idk how people can be so insensitive with someone's feelings. I told my fianceé that Joey's arrowana died and she was sad. Then she texted me a couple of minutes later and said one of our koi also died.
Jack Aioria I agree with both of you. My SO knows how ingot the fish hobby I am and he's heard if Joey and his amazing channel through me. I've been sharing this incident with him for the last few days. We were on a road trip and had to stop for the baby so I checked TH-cam to find this. Even he understood how sad the loss of this fish is for not only Joey but for his followers as well. It's such a shame and was a hard struggle watching such a powerful and beloved animal fade away to soon
