Most of us already have one of these in a setup we're already familiar with. The bottom section of our climbers , and it's a bigger platform with more foot area that would 100% be more comfortable. And cost us nothing...lol
@robzmancave lol a summit climber will 100% take my full body weight of side pressure. Ive used one for 20 plus years and to get the clearance I sometimes need with my 62 inch longbow, I have to get clear off to the side of the stand... With zero issues.
@@Stickbow1980 Are you using a saddle with your foot platform? I love my Summit climber but I don't think that it would take the side loading of using a saddle and leaning out.
@@BrendaGibson-ys6qn I use my saddle with my lone wolf base and side pressure is not a problem, I actually have only had to swing out once because the base is big enough to just stand and turn in the direction of the shot. The only time I had to swing out was when the buck came from directly behind me and passed right next to my tree and continued directly away from me, the base was steady but I did not take the shot because of the bad angle, I would have to had to shoot it right through the top of it's back. BTW I cut off the stand just in front of where the belt tubes attach to it, it weighs about 8 pounds but is still big enough to move around freely with out dealing with the seat portion. The platform is now roughly 19.5 X 20 inches. My base is rock solid but if I was worried I could put a ratchet strap around the tree to each side of the platform and lock it in. I tried using the seat portion but that was not stable enough, but the base works awesome.
I’ve been waiting for something like this… unfortunately this ain’t it. I’ll stick to 1 sticking. Y’all need to figure out an efficient system for negotiating branches.
Not my product, but I see what you are saying. I also one stick. If this had a really easy way of jumping over limbs it would wipe out sticks all together. BUT for us southern boys, who hunt in the “land of the pines” 😂 this thing is perfect.
i’m not trying to be vulgar, but what if you are saddle hunting and all of the sudden you go in labor and have to poop ? you would most likely poop in your pants before you could get down to the ground
@@2017Toy 🤣 so, most of us have that covered. I push for everyone to rappel. It allows you to get down safely, and as rapidly as you are comfortable with. I once got caught in a lightning storm. @@2017Toy because you can’t just climb any tree with a climber. You are carrying 1/4 of the weight, and it’s way more versatile. I don’t even get upset when I get these comments. I too used to think this same way. As did countless others I have changed their minds. It’s stupid until you realize it’s really not.
As already mentioned, you can set up in a lot more trees with a saddle, your set up is significantly lighter, and I personally find them much more comfortable than a tree stand. The ability to shoot 360° around a tree is also a plus if that is an option in the tree, you are in.
I hunt with my weight being supported by knots 100% of the time. Not sure why the cold would make them slip. I don’t own one, so I can’t say for sure, but seems unlikely
Love it!!
Pretty Slick!
Sweet! Branches would be a bear but I can appreciate the effort at minimalism.
I think it would be manageable, but still a pain. Would be easier than a full climber for sure tho.
Definitely need something to connect the platform to your saddle. If you lose the platform and it slid down the tree, you'd be stuck like chuck 🤣
I agree! 😂
Very interesting
I think so too!

Actually you are wrong. You cannot make a climber rigid like a platform. They cannot handle side pressure. This is a climbing PLATFORM.

Wide angle lense ruined this video. Can’t see squat of the product but sure can see all the people and all the unnecessary perifery.

I think saddle hunting is one of the dumbest things ever invented. Why don’t you just get a tree stand?
