If Shift + F10 is not opening the Command Prompt in the Windows 11 Setup, then try the following key combinations. Win + F10 Win + Shift + F10 Shift + F10 Fn + Shift + F10 Alt + F10 Ctrl + Shift + F10 Sometimes you also have to press and hold the keys for a couple of seconds for the Command Prompt to appear. Most likely one of those will open the Command Prompt in the Windows 11 Setup. If it does not, please let me know and I will be glad to help 🙂

After you open Command Prompt (with Shift+F10) and enter "oobe\bypassnro" the Windows 11 Setup will restart. When the setup comes back up, open command prompt (by pressing Shift+F10) and then enter "ipconfig /release" and press Enter. This should disconnect your computer from the Internet. Now you can close the Command Prompt and continue the Windows 11 Setup. You should be able to bypass the Microsoft Account Sign-in as shown in the video. If you do have any problems, please let me know and I will be glad to help 🙂

If I was choosing between the two, I would choose the MacBook. Now the Chromebook might be a little bit more secure right out of the box. However, the MacBook is going to allow you to have more programs/apps available for you to download and use. You can install 3rd party firewalls and internet security programs on the MacBook to make it even more secure. Thanks so much for the question. Let me know if you have any other questions. 🙂

If you will open Regedit as administrator. Then navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Shell Extensions\Approved. Select the key with a bunch of random numbers and delete all the values inside of it. This will reset your 15 day trial and allow you to use it one more time. I hope this helps. If your Mac is telling you to run diagnostics, here are the steps to get into the Diagnostics on your Mac. Apple silicon 1. Press and hold the power button on your Mac. (Every Mac has a power button. On laptop computers that have Touch ID, press and hold Touch ID.) 2. As you continue to hold the power button, your Mac turns on and loads startup options. When you see Options, release the power button. 3. Press and hold Command (⌘)-D on your keyboard. Intel processor 1.Turn on your Mac, then immediately press and hold the D key on your keyboard as your Mac starts up. 2. Release when you see a progress bar or you're asked to choose a language. * If using the D key doesn't work, press and hold Option (⌥)-D at startup instead. If you are trying to load the Diagnostics on your Mac but it stays on the loading screen for longer than 15 minutes, then you might need to have your Mac checked out by Apple or a Certified Apple Repair Specialist. It is possible that a piece of hardware is failing or has failed. I hope that helps. If you need anything else, please let me know. 🙂

@@IT101 the message I get is… Internet connection not detected. Make sure the network connection is active and try again. Maybe it’s the hotspot on my phone that isn’t working correctly. I guess I’ll need to go somewhere to get it figured out.

I have encountered that same problem myself. What is happening is the disk image is perfectly fine, the certificate has expired because of the date. Since we do not know the exact date the installer was created, we need to change the date of the computer. We can fix this inside the installer and then you can install the macOS. Here are the steps to resolve it. 1. Boot to the macOS Installer (the macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 Installer or macOS Yosemite 10.10 Installer you created). 2. Once inside the macOS installer, disconnect your Mac from the wifi connection (if it is connected) and disconnect any Ethernet cables (if you have any connected). This way the Internet will not be connected while we are performing the next steps. 3. Inside the macOS installer, select Utilities from the menu bar and click on Terminal. 4. You can change the date of the Mac by typing in the following command: date {month}{day}{hour}{minute}{year}. So for example August 26, 2024 at 9:14AM would be date 0826091424. If the time is past 12PM, use military time for the remaining hours (example August 26, 2024 at 5:20PM would be date 0826172024). 5. When I have used the macOS Installers I need to change the date to a date that works with the installer. What I would suggest is continuing to change the date to the previous year until one of them works. Example if you type in date 0826091424 and it does not work, then try date 0826091423. If that does not work then try date 0826091422 and so on. I would continue decreasing the year until you find the year that will work. After each time you change the date, you will need to exit the Terminal and try to install the macOS High Sierra/macOS Yosemite again. If it doesn’t work, then go back to the Terminal and try a different date (one year earlier) until you are able to find a date that does work. If you have any problems with these steps, please let me know as I will be glad to help you 😊
