THANK YOU for the no nonsense explanation video! I went through 5 or 6 videos before this one that were so long and drawn out and boring I could continue watching. This was by far the best video I watched and followed,
omg! Stab vs your way. There is such a huge difference how the stitches lay! Yours is much cleaner and neater. I am perpetually frustrated at YT videos from others who do that stab stitch for the satin stitch and make it look so neat. Yours is so efficient and clean. Thank you!!!!
This is exactly what I‘ve been looking for, thank you! Aside from the backstitch at the very beginning, I instinctively ended and started a new thread correctly. All this time I thought I was doing it wrong 😁
Thank you so much! I hope you're enjoying the craft. As the say practice makes perfect; so try to spend a little time each day stitching. Let me know if your interested in seeing another stitch that you don't see here.
Your videos are very helpful. I Always tie a knot at the beginnin and the end. Always. So when the work gets dirty and needs to be washed )by hand or gentle machine cycle+ there's no way it's comin loose.
patricia poole I am using DMC pearl cotton size 3. I also like to use size 5 too. I don’t usually use floss; only in my Strawberry Thief embroidery kit for the berries. I hope this helps!
Goodness! you make it look so simple and actually it is. I guess when you don't know your stitches it only looks difficult to a newbie. Thank you so much for sharing your great video. A great lesson to learn a neat satin stitch. I subscribed to your website to learn more! What fabric are you using??? Have a good day!
I used DMC pearl cotton size 3. It has a twist and you don’t separate the threads as you need to with a gloss. Also comes in size 5 (smaller thread) and sizes 8 and I believe 12 (ever smaller).
Trina Portner the white cloth is just waste fabric around just the top of the hoop. It protects the embroidery you just did. Do your stitches don’t get crimped. I made a simple casement (like s pocket for s curtain) and took the screw out of the hoop to slip the casement on it. You could also wrap a strip of old fabric around your hoop too. Hope this helps!
The white cloth is a protect sleeve; it ensures that the threads worked don’t become crimped. I just make a video for how yo make this. I’ll be posting it soon.
I would use the long and short stitch; it works best for fur and feathers and would allow for blending of different colors. The color you choose would depend on the look you want for your rabbit; if you want a white rabbit you can pick white, and different colors of gray for shadows. If you want a brown rabbit you would pick different shades of brown (lights and darks). Good luck!
I spent 4 months on a beautiful embroidery rose vine to find that after washing it, it all fell apart. To anyone who is going to wash their embroidery, knot the ends when finishing and starting
Holy moly you make it look so easy
I can't take it..i love this video!
Thank you! 😊

So glad it helped you, may take awhile to get the rhythm of “sewing” verses stab stitching but I’m glad you are able to see a difference.

Patricia Millin good! Yes, you don’t need to use a back stitch it’s just one way of securing thread without a knot.
Thank you for the Great tips. I am a Newbie
The satin stitch has been difficult to master, but your video helped tremendously. The sewing method was much more natural for me. Thank you kindly! 😊
Cassidy Thorp oh that’s great! Yes, once you get use to “sewing “ the satin stitch has a rhythm to it. Happy stitching!

How do you fill in a rabbit head? What colour should I use?
