Before the Pandemic, Pittsburgh was a bustling city. Now it’s a ghost town. We survived the loss of the steel mills in the 1980s, but I’m not sure that my city can bounce back from the Covid pandemic. There was ZERO traffic at rush hour when I was there a month ago. I am so sad to see this across America.
I was in Pittsburgh before pandemic and it was pretty much the same .. No traffic . maybe its because im from philly and it seemed that way lol regardless, i love Pittsburgh and western pa in general especially Washington county and its my dream to move there some day
@@TravelDolo Mac ... Sometimes a Quarter Pounder with Cheese. The Kossmann Building was right around the corner from there and I was in there a lot. Also ate at McDonald's over on Wood Street a lot.
It's weird seeing all the new businesses on Liberty Ave. At least the Army-Navy store is still there. Anyone else remember the old Pgh Culinary Institute and the students with their black and white checkered pants?
That’s a lot of hill man, does all the houses in Pittsburgh look like that because every vid of Philly and Pittsburgh the houses are mainly bricks or looks vintage
with you in america you only show buildings and how you live.. come to europe ... and see what life is .. we don't pay health insurance.. we go to jasa hospital we don't pay anything..and you..better record. how you live.but why didn't you film half the city where your homeless people are ... and how people live ... there are no such streets in europe...look at the home of your angel and take the cobweb off your eyes
Wow, I think that you've left some things out of your critique. First off, this was filmed during the pandemic. This otherwise vibrant city was shut down. I've been to France, for example, and saw for myself the beggars and gypsies on the streets. Claiming that half of Pittsburgh is homeless, is a bold faced lie. I'm from there and haven't seen what you're claiming. Finally, America has carried the defense burden for Europe since WWII. No we don't have free healthcare, I'll give you that, but I bet we would if Europe would pay us back for saving their asses during WWII plus protecting them ever since. So, why don't you tell the full truth versus this bullshit?
My husband is from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in England and there are plenty of bad neighborhoods. My son waited five months for a doctor's appointment there. My husband always says "don't get sick in England." Some people like living meagerly and that is their right. But many want a better life and will work for it. They would rather work and pay their bills than live off government. And apparently you have not been to Paris lately - plenty of homeless and tent cities.

The most amazing part of this video is that the sky is blue. Anyone from Pittsburgh understands that joke.
😂
That's true ... but it happens occasionally. lol
It has changed so much since I was a kid. Still miss Kaufmanns.
Me too! I worked part time for Kaufman's! They treated their employees wonderfully!
I just love Pittsburgh’s skyline.

Yea you're right about that
No traffic jams, what's sad about that?

This city looks like a mini New York.
that’s why in the Batman movies, they filmed the close up scenes in downtown Pittsburgh. Because it does look like a mini New York.
The perfect cure for my homesickness.

Man, do I miss the 'Burgh. I've been living deep behind Confederate lines in Tennessee for the past 10 years.
Pittsburgh air is much cleaner than the air in Denver ,Colorado! No more steel mills!
Never knew that! Thanks for sharing
See that McDonald's at the beginning? I used to eat lunch there all the time.
Big Mac or 2 Cheeseburgers?

Yea, Pennsylvania is old fashion looking. Pitt surely has way more hills than Philly
The Pittsburgh back in my day was much wilder. Pittsburgh has been tamed now.
absolutely
Didn’t hit up the north shore
Wasn't familiar with it
Eso no tiene sonido ni audio
¿Eso es bueno o malo?
